Love the leather smell
Long time afficinado of fabric lounges this is my first leather couch and I love it. There was no assembly, just had to unwrap it and done.
First purchase and happy
Purchased over the phone through Jim? He was helpful and guided me how to custom the sofa. The wait for the sofa was longer than expected. Beautiful sofa. I was annoyed at no update until delivery ready.
I had a miserable experience. I did not mind the 16 weeks wait but I did mind the excuses and arguments they provided me with. In all I would sum them up as cheap and nasty.
Sofa and coffee table
It was easy to navigate the store, the range of products was acceptable, I don't know about the quality bcause it was only delivered yesterday and is still unpacked - I don't know about the assembly yet but I am annoyed that there was a piece of the coffee table missing
I ordered their Orion u lounge and absolutely not happy with the product quality. I complained to them but was told that they were minor defects. I paid 3500 to buy a new lounge with ‘minor defects’ and waited 3 months for it. It’s been weeks since my complaint but they have not done anything about it yet.
Have not received full purchase
I purchased a lounge suit with coffee table had it custom made in August and put deposit down.
I received purchase 3 mths later minus coffee table but had too send the rest of money on day of delivery.
Have been harassing them since delivery about our coffee table and getting the run around, it is now nearly end of March still no coffee table which is 6 mths later.
We are willing to fill customers in how bad these people are in responding to our recent experience with our purchase and how bad they are you can contact me on [Email Removed].
I would rather send my lounge suit back and get my money back never never again.
Do not purchase from this company!!!
After much deliberation and upon confirmation from Harris that we would be fully refunded if the set we ordered was the wrong colour, and that transportation costs would be covered we placed an order for a leather set. Our order was being transported to Adelaide. Apart from a phone call from Aasra regarding final payment, for the whole 13 weeks there was no phone call to let us know how things were progressing. Our couches finally arrived but were not the colour we ordered. We immediately informed Harris via email, sms and phone calls regarding...the possibility of returning the couches. That was 5 weeks ago! Apart from a phone call from Harris, stating that the situation was going to be solved on the day (3 weeks after the complaint was made) that he texted, and an email from Ambreen in the Warranty department promising to be in touch in a 'few days'. We are no closer to a resolution. I have lodged a report with the ACCC and am currently going through the consumer, business services here in Adelaide...hoping that a solution will be reached soon before pursuing small claims. This review is more for those who are ordering online to be wary...Desired Living really doesn't rate but I had to do 1 star in order to post a review. **Just a follow up, from this review. We've been informed by Desired Living that because we chose not to go ahead with a sample of what their 'burgundy' swatch looked like, we are not entitled to a return/exchange or a refund. For those planning on purchasing a burgundy coloured chesterfield, the burgundy quoted by Desired Living i.e. colour 0326 IS NOT burgundy it is more cherry coloured red/pink** ***Further update...we finally unpacked the whole package and found one of the chair legs had a big chip in it - looked like someone had grooved a hole in it while unscrewing it - the other legs had indentations in it...so didn't really look brand new. Furthermore we cross checked swatches and number 0326 is DEEP RED and not BURGUNDY. See proof below.
They provide fully customizable furniture online so that was great. Had some really nice designs and the sofa that arrived seems good quality. Prices of the sofas are good but the shipping is pretty pricey.
Sofa not delivered, its been 5 months now, not responding my email or call- they tell lie all the time
I have ordered the sofa worth $7000 from [name removed] ( guy name ) Melbourne on 28/02/2020 and today is 20/07/20. It is almost 5 month, in the invoice it says product will be delivered in max 12 week, today is 20 week still nothing delivered, on 15/05/20 [name removed] said container arrived just waiting on custom clearance, on 25/05/20 I called to check when it will delivered they said it will be on 17/07/20, [name removed] lied with confidence, useless person, now they saying it will be delivered on 08/08/20, all the time dates changes, now...they not responding to my email, [name removed] is sales manager, she reads all the email but does not respond, the major problem is this [name removed], i have never seen such a useless sales person like [name removed]. I have lodge ACCC complaint, I have paid $2700 in advance, they are not returning my money, now I am planning to send my friend to their Sydney branch to take my money. My friends are mafia in the sure My if they don't receive money then they will damage the shop, bluddy crap people. Stay away from this company. Never order from this company

Terrible furniture and service
We ordered a sofa and asked to increase height by changing leg size. DL added 50 $ for " safety check" with increased height. Sofa arrived with original short legs.DL agreed to send taller legs , installation has to be done by clients( ourself) .The " safety " was not an issue any more( 50 $ was never refunded for it). In a few weeks the set with new legs arrived , but the total was not enough by three. DL reassured that missing legs will be sent in future( still waiting). In six months our sofa started peeling off. Dl requested to send more ph...otos( done) - silence for more than two months now. To sum up : we received our sofa in September 2019, in June 2020 we sat on a peeling sofa with supported bricks instead of legs. DL is a disaster!!!!
i would rename it as " Undesired Living ". It's been a nightmare dealing with this company.
We ordered 2 sofas, a 3 piece Chesterfield set and a Nova lounge suite in April 2019 and paid extra for it to be Italian leather and a Full leather upgrade.
After more than 16 weeks we finally got our sofa's delivered on the 23/08/19. On receiving the sofa's we realised that the lounge suite was made in a different leather than what we ordered. After much fuss and trying to bribe us with freebees , Desired Living finally agreed to replace the lounge sui...
No communication from company
They have taken my money, I can’t get a response from email or phone call and no product after 4 weeks. Please advise how I can get a response. Not happy.
Second sofa bought
Receiving my second lounge today is another delight. I am a long time customer of desired living. Every time i have purchased i am well greeted and looked after by the staff. Bill in the shop is very kind and was also the one who took my first order.
My second sofa i bought in fabric for my social room and appears great. Very comfortable. I have never purchased a frosted fabric lounge before and never heard of it until Bill told me of it. Another fantatic sofa. I though do not give 5 stars for the fact that they charged me an extra fee for delivery to the 5th floor with stair access.
I highly recommend this shop for its quality of sofas and pricing.
Beautiful lounge now in my house, I paid very good prices for lounges. In the store me and my family spent many hours and the people there were very nice.

Please stay away: Terrible product and equally terrible customer service
I bought a custom made sofa (with our measurement) for my new home last year from Desired Living on Oct 6th 2018 and was told that the sofa will get delivered in 8-10 weeks. We waited and waited and this was finally delivered in January end 2019 with incomplete product (one extra seat was missing and pillows were of wrong colors).
We did not want to wait for another 14-15 weeks so got the money refunded for the extra seat even though there is an empty space in our family area as the result of the missing piece.
Just after 8 months (Septembe...r 2019) our middle piece started to have leather peel. Just 2 weeks ago (November 2019) i have noticed the other 2 side pieces also have leather peels as well and it looks terrible. We were promised that they will use genuine leather but genuine leather should not peel like this in 8 to 9 months. When i complained they are putting the blame on me that we have used wrong product to clean the sofa. Really all we have used is damp clothes to clean the sofa and couple of times we have used moisturized soap as we know how to look after the leather. Please don't waste your time and hard earned money with Desired Living. They do not use genuine leather in their product even though the salesperson will claim this. Their customer service is equally terrible meaning you will not get the correct pieces as you ordered with wrong color and sizes. They do not deliver on time as well. Please stay away.

Any recent feedback about this company? I went to the Melbourne showroom and they were really nice and we ordered a set of recliners and a sofa. We paid a deposit but now after reading all the negative reviews I'm a little bit worried. Can anyone who has bought from them recently let me know? I checked their Facebook page but all the comments are hidden which got me suspicious. Thanks!
I like the prices, selection and designs shown on the website. But never get a "chat" reply, nor do they answer their phones. They sound like a very good product.. once received. But I'm scared by the neg customer service comments.
I want to ask them 2 questions. What items are on their "Flash Sale" being advertised. Also, there's a couch showing a price of $2699, but all of the colour choices add either $249 or $349. So this couch doesn't seem to actually be $2699. What am I missing?
Hey just got my sofa last week, I bought a few sofa sets, if I remember correctly the prices only change if you modify. I didint pay extra for colours but I think there was some colours that costed extra. They gave me a pretty good deal wouldn’t hurt to talk to them
They are very affordable, highly recommend you buy here, you get more than what you pay for. For what they are selling you are very much getting your moneys worth. I got my sofa today very comfy
