Dettol Surface Cleaners Trigger / Wipes

The packet is almost twice the size of the wipes. How anyone can say these are environmentally friendly is beyond me. Excess plastic us. No doubt a shrinkflation victim.
Follow-up · Wipes not effective.packet was too big.
Absolutely overpriced crap – Wipes dry out , waste of money and their gimmicky dirty dog licking childs highchair adds are just gross , will never buy anothet Dettol product Show details
Threw the bottle out – I bought the "LIME" multi purpose spray bottle and I instantly thought it smelled like cat urine and when my husband got home from work he asked me if one of the cats peed in the kitchen somewhere. Threw the bottle out, it was disgusting. Show details
Marginal effectiveness of Healthy Clean Kitchen by Dettol – Purchased this and used it to clean a glass gas stove top. States that it ‘cuts through tough grease and grime’. Found that even leaving it to sit and work, then agitate with a brush it seems to be marginal at best. I am not satisfied with this product and will not purchase it again. Show details
Rubbish now – Hate the pack they come in. Wipes dry out before you have finished the pack. Wish they'd stuck with the old pop top container. On the plus side they smell nice. I have changed to using trigger spray and paper towels now instead and its better for me.
Dettol healthy clean kitchen – This is the second bottle I have brought, and it cleans the kitchen very good, and dries fast. I also use it in bathroom sink and on the lid and seat of toilet as a quick fix.
Made in China – What a disgrace...made in China, plenty of good made in Australian alternatives. Does clean same as other products but I could not believe a product like this was made overseas.
Dettol Surface Wipes – For years I have used Dettol Surface Wipes both in the 40s and 80s cylindrical snap lock airtight container. Fantastic. To my dismay, I have discovered that this line has been discontinued - and replaced with a 'packet' type packaging very similar to baby wipes. Coles in particular are absolutely deluging their shelves with this new… Read more
packaging.
PROBLEM:
Like hand wipes - any make - the 'sticking seal' AND the 'clip type' seal do not keep these wipes from drying out. Baby wipes you're using almost constantly all day - nappy wipes - wow how many nappies a day - but surfaced wipes - not on the hour!
So by the time you've got half way down the packet the rest of the wipes are drying out and the last third are totally dry. Thus useless.
Personally (after doing the exercise) I could not recommend purchasing the surface wipes in the new packaging and the same problem is being found by my daughter and a few friends.
I will now 'go online' and see if I can purchase a similar product in a cylindrical cap lock container.
In my opinion this change of packaging is similar to the debacle Glad Wrap had when they changed their cutting edge to the 'wrong' side. At least after HUGE outcry and customers going to other brands, they have returned to the original.
Dettol will not make friends with their packaging change. It may be cost effective in the thinking of some bright spark, but their sales will drop Ive no doubt.
Useless – This product has been advertised to kill 99.9% of germs when you wipe over your floors with them. Well it could be true but I don't have a scientific degree to dispute this, so I have to take their word for it. However I did buy the product to disinfect and clean off dog smudges of my floors, as it looked like it would do that job as per the… Read more
television ad. Unfortunately the cloth doesn't have enough moisture in it to clean off any smudges, I would have to use half the pack to do this, and I have no idea if it has killed any germs. So for me this was a waste of money in purchasing this product. I have gone back to using vinegar and hot water with my micro cloth mop, it works!
Dettol Power & Pure Bathroom – This was a new product I decided to try a few months ago. I don't know if I got a dodgy bottle but trying to get the product out of the bottle is a nightmare. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a spray or a foam - sometimes it just dribbles out. I played around with the nozzle - not user error. It cleans OK - nothing out of the ordinary. I have… Read more
gone back to my old brand in the meantime. This bottle is still half full and I can't wait to finish it and throw it away. Not too harsh. No overpowering chemical smell. Packaging defective
Kitchen Cleaner – An anti-bacterial spray that is great for food surfaces, non-bleach and no need to rinse. Sounds brilliant. However I find myself needing to wash the kitchen cabinets twice to feel like I have benefited from what it says on the bottle. Doesn't easily remove food stains eg/ tea on kitchen cabinet or food splashed on stove top from cooking. This is the first time I've used it, I have about 1/3 of the bottle left and won't be buying it again.
