We are with Diamond energy already for 2 years. "business as usual", everything it top notch... so, really I had no needed to contact the company previously... didn't think to leave a feedback earlier.
Needed to do some administrative changes today and was so impressed by the customer service level... No need to say- friendly, professional, knowledgeable. All this and plus. No work is too small or to big. Was talking to Alex - and you can really feel warmth and smile in her voice. She was incredibly helpful and made me feel so welcome !

Good for the customer and the environment
We switched to Diamond Energy for our electricity supply a year ago. We are committed to renewable energy and Diamond build, own and operate multiple solar, wind and biogas plants around the country. In addition, they support ConservationSA of which we are members. Their rates are more than competitive with Origin our previous supplier, their service has been excellent, and they don't use their muscle with the government to keep power prices high and emissions intensive.
Best electricity retailer that I have experienced.
I have found that the service offered overall by Diamond Energy has been better by far than other providers I have experienced such as Red Energy and Energy Australia. I have been served by Amber-Lou Santer and she seems to make sure the client's situation is understood and follows through in completing requests.
Exceptional Customer Service Always
We've been with this company for three years now. I've had to call them with two issues (not their fault)and both times they've worked to help solve it super easily without a thousand transfers or follow up calls.
Their pricing plan is simple and easy to understand and the service is faultless as well as sustainable!

For a start someone answers the phone-a real and FRIENDLY person-and NOT through a chain of extra choices
Secondly-its someone in Camberwell,Melbourne AUSTRALIA and they have time to listen-and make decisions re offers etc
Thirdly the phone person is informed smart and capable of dealing with just about anything you may want to know.
Fourth the processes to set up accounts and other matters are quick and simple
Finally the follow up is first rate,detailed and fast. Alex was super efficient friendly and remembered previous calls and correspondence-VERY impressive

Great company to be with - finally a company that looks after their clients. I cannot say enough about their customer service - especially Amber who managed to save me hundreds of dollars on my electricity bill. It was also Amber that contacted me as she saw where I could make some savings. Would highly recommend this company.

I am having issues with a strangely high bill and a flat mate paying thier share in summary. Also problems with SA Power Networks not disconnecting the electricity when requested. Be glad you are not in SA rest of Australia.....

I have been with diamond energy for about 15 months. I have had the best service and support anyone could ever ask for. They are great, easy to sign in and best follow up and they do go out of their way to help you and solve your problems.
Recently some error led to another company trying to take my account away from them. They sent me a very lovely and polite email to let me know and to tell me how much they appreciate my business and what they could do to get my business back.
I was shocked and sent a response that I have not signed wit...h anybody else. They got my email and Amber, who works for them, investigated all she could before giving me a ring to let me know what was going on and helping me through it. The problem was solved within 3 hours and I am back with them. Thank you, Amber, and thank you Diamond energy!!!! And yes, the fact that they are Aussie and green had a lot to do with me choosing them!!!!
Do your homework and compare their rates with others
Diamond is one of the power retailers recommended when installing solar panels and Reposit (or even Reposit without the solar panels). They are focusing on renewable power sources as a result and it is commendable that they are doing so. A large feed in tariff for "high demand events" (think "summer super hot days when everyone has air-conditioning on and the power system can't keep up") is offered so have the potential to be low cost over a year. However, these high demand events are all too rare, despite the noise in the press and the off ...peak rate is much higher than most competitors, with the minimum government feed in tariff offered for 99.99% of the year. Our experience, over the years was a difficult and disorganised connection, followed by disappointing high cost. They struggled to plan the connection, so came back to the house twice. We were initially set up with a controlled load tariff as well. Not sure why. It took Diamond four months to sort out the connection and tariff. More importantly, the cost is not competitive. As an example, our home would typically draw 4-5 kW of power from the grid (at off peak - not peak times and rates) and send 15-20 kW back to the grid (the excess generated by the solar panels after supplying the house and charging the battery) in a day, and we would owe them money. The issue comes from their very high off peak rate, which is currently about 25% higher than offered by most of the other, more widely known suppliers. Over a year, the impact is material. The less important negative point is the visibility of the chaos behind the scenes. The people helping you on the phone or email do their best but what they say is going to happen is rarely related to what then happens, in terms of time frames or work being done.
My bills have been ridiculously expensive!
I was shocked when I received a bill of $860 dollars (over three months) for a tiny one bed room apartment.
It just didn’t seem right. They said I used up to 71 kw in one day alone which confused me as I’m frugal with my power usage. So I cancelled my membership but received the last bill over two months which was over 500 dollars! I would not recommend this company because I haven’t changed my power usage habits and I’ve never received bills so large from other providers.
WORST Energy retailer - Confusing and misleading billing
Worst energy company ever, I received 7% discount upon signing up during March 2017 but guess what? They jacked up the price by 20% in a July and didn't even bother giving the mere 7% discount.
Gotta say Diamond energy is definitely the WORST energy retailer out there, so if you're thinking of signing up with Diamond energy, make sure you already are wearing 10 24 carat diamond rings, then you wouldn't even bother letting these bloody leaches take your money.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Diamond Energy - have been through a few relocation, all without a hitch and with the best customer service each time. And of course the best part is knowing that they are an ethical company that isn't just jumping on the "green" energy bandwagon but are actually committed to renewable energy.
Diamond Energy Saves Me More Money Again
Just got off the phone to Diamond Energy they couldn't do enough for me they have always been very helpful been with them now 6years I'm on the 0.60c Feed in Tarrif and they give me a extra 0.08c so 0.68c well as of 1/7 that now goes up too 0.72c Pkwh and have given me a total of 10% Discount for Pay on time and Direct Debit so yes a very happy customer

Diamond energy, no energy to fix issues
For a number of weeks if not months, staff gave me different answers on not only my hot water system but who can convert it.
I was told my hot water system is 24/7 and then I was told also it is on only a certain number of hours per day.
I was also told only a plumber needs to change the hours and then I was told I can change the hours myself.
So when I decided to leave because of the above, I got a call asking why am I leaving and they can fixed up the issues.
Let me see, ah yes.
Everyone is so great and easy to talk to. I've never had issues so I've never had to call and winge. But when I called to disconnect (due to no gas) they answered quickly and the lady I spoke to, Jess, was lovely and helpful. Didn't make me feel bad at all.
Will return when I move
Have been with Diamond Energy for approximately 3 years, it was highly recommended - green friendly, good customer service. Not a problem until we moved from our property I called first time in December, and advising the we are moving and the property is going to be unoccupied. The customer rep advice was to keep electricity until new owner moved in. Mid of January we payed $178.60 not being in property. I have to add that we do have sole panels 2.5 KW . In the end of February I again called advising that the new owners might move in soon ask...ing for advice what now, again I called 16 of March informing that new people are residing in our property I was advice do nothing as the new people will open their account. Few days ago I received another bill from Diamond this time $85,60. I called again a young lady told me there are no record of my calls or any request and I have to pay to disconnect the power. My patients disappeared ... I asked for the supervisor, total shock young man is telling me the same - there are no records of any conversation or request for disconnection. I got upset that he calls me a liar, and keep explaining and asking what I want totally humiliated I give -up told I pay... thank you,, Then I was offered a credit to have account in our new property with Diamond Energy if I use services .. I decline the offer .
Great for solar panel owners, good buy back rate
Have found them excellent and cost effective. Very approachable on the phone and spend time to explain. Clear and simple documentation and processing. Good communicators.
Not a happy customer
There is no point calling their customer service as they don't seem to do anything. Requested to change over to them asap to get the most out of my new solar panels with extra cost involved. Complete mess up, finally connected after 3 months. I feel that I have been very clear with what I wanted. But they have no provide me with what I am expecting.
Not their problem.
Company failed to call and let me know my power had failed to shut off. Then received a 200 dollar bill 3 months later after bein told my account was closed. I was required to pay plus extra disconnection fees. No courtesy or accountability. Would not recommend.
