A Bunch Of Crooks!! BEWARE
TERRIBLE CROOKS I cant believe they are allowed to run business here in Australia. I cant believe they can do this to customers. I am so tired of dealing with them. I ordered an item 2 months ago, they didnt have stock but yet they took the order and my money. i waited for 1 month and i cancelled the order asking for a refund. I emailed them but no reply. so I have to use the online store chat to speak to their representative and finally they 'cancel' it . but no they didnt. I have to wait another month till they say they shipped the item , an...d I have to return it when i receive. God sakes . I already moved on, got myself the item from another vendor . And I have to make a trip to the post office to return this item because of Digidirect 's horrific way of dealing with customers . This costed me so much time . SO MUCH WASTE OF TIME. Just be honest with customers Digidirect, its not like u are going broke. dont advertise stock you dont have and make customers wait for months. while taking their money, you crooks.
Item not in stock yet they would still put it up on sale in their website
I ordered an item that was IN STOCK on their website last month. After a couple of days, I received an email saying that the status of that item is AWAITING PRODUCT DELIVERY and that stocks will be arriving within 7 - 14 days. 10 days later and I received an email that there was a further delay with their stocks. All of this happened while that item was still IN STOCK on there website.
Seriously, as a company that has been receiving the same review regarding that IN STOCK issue in past, they should have rectified that already. I have seen them...put that item on and off sale with different percentages of discounts. Why not make it unavailable if it is in fact OUT OF STOCK? Rather than ask them if the product is in stock, go somewhere else where you can actually see if the item is IN STOCK or UNAVAILABLE in REAL-TIME.

Still have items advertised for sale when there is no stock waiting close to a month with delay after delay.
The worst online shopping I’ve ever done
I ordered online a camera Canon Rp with the lense and a extra battery with the memory card.
As the other reviews, they took me the money straight away when anywhere in the website said that they didn’t have stock... and after few days I received an email that the camera and the lense will be delayed 2 weeks... The camera arrived delayed but the worse is the Extra battery and the memory card I ordered the 8th of August... still pending to arrive.
After more than one month delay, I received an email saying they still don’t have stock but proba...bly they will be able to have stock on late October more than 2 months after than when I ordered. They proposed me another memory card by phone saying that was the same than the one I ordered and more expensive and that was a lie when I compared it online! Checking the webside the one I orderd is faster cause it works 299m/s while the one they proposed me was 260/ms and it’s not more expensive as they said.
Disappointing online customer experience
Wished I'd read these reviews before I purchased. Bought online. very quick to take my money and get confirmation, then nothing. After a few days, I chased and was told the store I asked to collect from didn't have product. You would assume it would auto ship from warehouse to store for pick-up then. Not the case. No email telling me this. They have a chat function on their site which is great. Thankfully not a bot. However Chat customer service wasn't a great experience either. I was given a timeline of early next week. Not feeling confident a...bout that. I was told they are having shipping problems due Covid. I can empathise however this was never communicated before purchase (which would be ideal) or after purchase leaving me hanging not knowing what was going on. Needed for a work project which is now going to pass its deadline.
Bought a lens for a project i am doing in a couple of weeks time. I was able to buy online at digidirect, assuming that being able to add to cart and buy now meant the item was in stock. It took over a day for the money to be taken from my account, the same time in fact that i was sent an email saying said product was out of stock and due to covide (*insert eye roll) an ETA on stock is not known. Geeze thanks Digidirect. Maybe a phone call or an email advising this BEFORE taking my money would have been helpful. Now of course i am receiving no ...reply from them regarding a refund so i can buy my lens elsewhere in time for my project!! It is blatant theft if you ask me. Pity as if they had just told me and didn't take my money i would have gladly accepted it, gotten my lens elsewhere and perhaps even used digidirect for future purposes knowing they had good customer service. Now i am in the process of trying to get my refund via paypal all the while time is ticking before my project!!! Not good enough and a warning for others!!!!!!

I have been seeking to buy a set of quality binoculars online and DigiDirect offered the best price. However when I attempted to place the order the online product page disappeared. I then emailed on two separate days but no response from Digi. After reading reviews that this mob often does not have the stock that they advertise I rang digi to check but was told by recorded message that due to the volume of calls I should leave my number and someone would call me back. I’m still waiting!!!
The binoculars cost over $2500 and we’re going to be a Father’s Day present but that’s been and gone now….so frustrating!
Very Disappointing, Would not use again.
The DigiDirect website is very misleading. They do not advise if an item is out of stock, or on back order at all.
I purchased 2 of the same item, and at no point was I advised I would only be receiving 1 item with the other on back order.
It took for me to open the package on delivery to realise an item was missing.
There was a picking slip inside that stated quantity required was 2, but only 1 was picked, but no explanation as to why the second item wasn't dispatched.
It took for me to make contact for them to advise the item was on back order and wouldn't be with them for at least 2 weeks.
Their communication is terrible, and I would not recommend ordering from their website.
They'll take your money, but don't expect to be sent what you've bought
When you visit the Digidirect online store you could be forgiven for thinking that they carry a lot of stock. In reality they carry very little stock and many, if not most of the items they purport to 'sell' they actually don't have.
I have been buying from Digidirect for many years now and the service in the physical stores has been good, and if they had an item it was there in the store. However due to lockdowns I been using their online store and the service has been appalling.
It is not unusual for orders to arrive with items of the ord...er missing. When I contact their sales people I'm told that they don't actually have the item in stock but they can order it send it on when it arrives. When I've complained about I have been told I should ring them first to see if they have something before I order it online. I should have known better but two months ago I ordered some lights and light stand s, without ringing ahead first. The lights arrived but not the stands. I didn't receive any notification that the items were not available or that they would be put on back order. They just didn't come. When I contacted them about this I was told I would have them in about three weeks. Its now two months on and there has been no activity. I enquired again last week as to where my light stands were and was told they still didn't have any in stock.

Wanted to purchase a camera online. Was wary after reading other reviews about stock availability. Did an online chat with Jim on their website. He said the item was in stock. Didn’t trust this, so rang the 1300 number to check. Was told that in fact the item wasn’t in stock. When I pointed out that the online chat said it was, the person just cut me off and said “is there anything else I can help you with”. No explanation about online chat. Be very careful. As other’s have said, they will let you purchase items that are not actually in stock.
Don't deliver after 3 months don't respond to emails
Purchased a product from this company which they advertised as in stock so ordered. Then when the order had gone through they said it was a back order! Emailed at the time and got no response. Three months later still no product has been delivered. Customer service does not seem to exist. No updates, no communication nothing. Just a void of nothing.
Ordered but have not received goods
Ordered 2 weeks ago but have not received the good. When I asked after one week in I was told it was on backorder with no eta. I requested for a refund since there was no eta. No response since. Then my orders status changed to close but I have yet to receive refund. No contact from the seller after multiple attempts. Will be lodging a dispute of the transaction with my bank

Absolutely horrible online service
It has now been 2 months since I ordered a product online and have yet to receive half my order. The site has absolutely zero indicator to show whether or not a product is in stock either online or in store for click and collect, instead they wait to take your money before telling you your product won't arrive for 7-14 business days (a severe underestimate) due to COVID-19. That I could live with, 2 months on the other hand is ridiculous. I had to contact customer support 3 times before I got any kind of response, at which point I was told that...it was Canon's fault and they could send my other items and chase up Canon and get back to me. They never got back to me. If I hadn't bought the item at such a good price I would have cancelled long ago. They will never be getting any orders from my small business again.

Disgraceful Service - ITEMS ARE NOT IN STOCK THEY SAY THEY ARE BUT THEY ARE NOT!
The website said it was in stock, I get an email saying it will be with me in 7 days or so, I go to track then it forces me to create an account to track which is wrong to ask you shouldn't have to do that. The account then says no order. So the website is set up completely wrong to start with here. I then reach out to the chat they had to look into for over 10 minutes to finally tell me that all the items were out of stock over 2k worth. Disgraceful service nobody reached out to me to tell me this, 1 item was even on backorder with no ETA at all. You can't operate a business like this and expect to be successful.

They don’t have the stock they are selling, they get your money first, then order the stock, it takes months to arrive even for small stuff.
Bought a rode connector and a small mic. 2 weeks, nothing happened, no emails, no contact, just like you have never ordered from them.
Wrote them emails, no reply, just like you’ve never wrote them anything. Call them, a very rude replied, they don’t have stock, that’s why they didn’t ship. Why do you sell the stock you don’...t have then!!!! Told him I want cancel, the answer is I can’t cancel. You need to write emails. Remember they don’t reply emails, I am stuck. ……….. 2 months later, still nothing happened. This time, used their online chat. Connected with agent, cut off the chat automatically after one question…. Connect again, transfer 4 agents, take long long time, finally told me they forgot the order, they will need to take to the warehouse to organize shipping. It is a nightmare, guys, don’t ever ever ever ever buy from this crap store. You will be screwed, guaranteed!!!

Hi Enquiring about Sony cameras and lenses. Do they come with a Sony Australia warranty, and if needing repair is this carried out in Australia?
Also is it best to call the store directly (Brisbane city store) to check if items are in stock AND in store so I can physically come in and pay/collect my item.
