The dishonest salesperson gave misleading information to ensure the sale
I had already ordered my items from another company, but the lead time on delivery was around 3 weeks. I subsequently enquired at other places about stock availability and received a call from Digital Cinema.
I inquired as to when I could expect the goods to arrive, to which the answer was: "within four days". I paid an extra $200 to Digital Cinema as compared to the original order because I did not want to wait 3 weeks.
Five days went by and the items were still interstate. I spoke to another salesperson from Digital Cinema and they informed...me that the four-day delivery timeframe quoted to me would never be possible and that the minimum would be five days, with a more likely figure of 15 days, due to COVID-19 restrictions. One of the items in my order took 25 days to arrive. My decision to cancel my original order and purchase from Digital Cinema was solely based on the assurance that I would receive the goods in a timely manner. If I had have known that the likely timeframe would be 15 business days, I never would have placed an order with them. The original advice was entirely misleading, either deliberately to ensure the sale, or out of ignorance. Either way, I was out of pocket $200 and received my order around the same time as the original.
Worst experience I've ever had as a customer.
I placed an order for a set of speakers and stands from their online store at the beginning of December. Initially, I was told that they were waiting for their supplier to get them in stock. Then, I was told that the supplier would ship them to me directly. That they had arrived at the suppliers, and were in the process of being shipped. After all that, they tell me the supplier never had the speakers in the colour I ordered them, and nothing was shipped. In the 2 and a half months that this process took, the only official contact I received fr...om them, was the invoice, and order confirmation email that was sent to me the day I placed the order. I had to call them multiple times trying to get any information about my order. They have agreed to cancel, and refund my order in full. But this is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had as a customer.
Sold a 6 year old manufactured product as new.. stay away from these cheaters
Purchased JBL 570 ATMOS pack from them, the speakers received had terrible box and packaging, manufactured in 2012/2103... selling in 2020 as new. They are not ready to refund or exchange with new product. Stay away from these cheaters....
Rudest customer service
Used the chat box so I could talk to someone who can help me about a product. This guy named Atish is extremely rude who unfortunately happens to be the chat box guy. The conversation started with him saying "Hi", then I replied with "Hi". Took a while for him to reply so I said "no reply". He then replied with "no reply to what?" then followed with "you would have liked me to say Hi again?". Instead of asking the customer "how can I help you today". He didn't. Then as the conversation led to argument on how he should treat the customers, he t...hen said "is this a prank of some sort". I said that this isn't a prank. I ended up not telling him what products I wanted because there was no point of discussing it with a person who doesn't treat their customers well. This guy obviously needs proper training.
Rude staff. I was going to buy a pair of KEF Q350s as they had it advertised very cheap. I asked a staff member if they had one on the floor he said no, I then asked if they had any B&W 606’s on the floor, he said no again then he walked away without saying anything else. I drove 40 minutes to come to this store only to be met by rude staff members. It was a missed sale for them and a waste of time for me.
Terrible customer service.
I tried to contact a sale assistant on chat box online to get recommendation for my home theatre system. The staff named [Name Removed] just repied "We are very busy, we do not have time for you". "Great" customer service. Will never buy anything from them.
Home theatre installation with no amplifier/receiver
I ordered a new home theatre system 2 months ago (last year to be exact). The installer came this week to install it and was then told the amplifier/receiver is not available until 2 days later. The installer installed all the speakers, the projector and the screen. However I can't test the system without the amplifier. Today, waited the whole day for them to call me. I ended up ringing them at 4pm and was told the amplifier still not available.
Overall, not a pleasant service. I will chase them up next week for my amplifier for sure
Sale = ...good, Bowen is great Installation = not bad, I have to use my own endoscopic camera to prevent them from drilling extra wholes on my ceiling. Can't believe they don't have this with them! I prob can do a better job but prob take longer time. After sale = poor, where is my amplifier despite me ordering it 2months ago... Need to ring them several time to find out progress.... BEWARE 25% restocking fee
Wish I could give 0 stars. I will never buy from these guys again. I saw a TW9300 projector on their eBay site for much less than it was in their store website. Instead of thinking "bargain" and buying it, I realised it was a mistake and called them.
A staff member confirmed it as a mistake and during that call he asked if I wanted to put a deposit on it. I can't remember what silly thoughts went through my head to agree but I did and the staff member did not mention anything about a potential 25% restocking fee that would be applied if I c...hanged my mind. After saving them the money/hassle associated with an erroneous eBay listing I was thanked by being seduced into a large deposit on a projector with a 25% penalty should I change my mind. It wasn't until later that I found out about the 10Gbps HDMI limitation of the TW9300 meaning it was unsuitable for my purposes. When I requested my money back I was told of the %25 fee. My money was effectively gone or I was trapped into buying something from them while they held my money.
Prices are okay. I did not have to wait which was great.
Technician who came in and installed the package was the best experience ever as he explained exactly where he could mount and why with the beam structure.
Pre-sale is where I got sucked in... They say to you "put a deposit today" to get a good price. As soon as you do that, that is where the care factor goes out the door. I should have walked out too. I asked the sales guy when can I pay, he says on the day of installation. He rings me 3 days before installation is due and starts deman...

I ordered a Q Acoustics 7070Si subwoofer via Digital Cinema's website on a Saturday, paid via PayPal and received an order confirmation. By Wednesday I still had not received any notification that the item had shipped so I used the Live Chat function on their site to try and find out the status of my order. After about 10 minutes of sitting idle, the chat representative provided a phone number. I called the number and could tell that the call was being forwarded to from one phone to the next until I was finally prompted to leave a 10 second mes...sage on a mobile phone which would be translated into a text message and sent. I received a call back, provided my name and order number and was told that my order was shipping that afternoon and that I would receive an email with tracking details. Having received no such email by 2pm Friday, I called again only to be told that the item I ordered was not in stock and not available from Q Acoustics either. I requested an immediate refund via PayPal as they had held my money for nearly 7 days already and was told it would be processed that afternoon. Refunds via PayPal are instant so I was furious when by Saturday afternoon I still had not received my refund. I called again and spoke to another person who told me the refund would be processed before 5pm...it was not. I will be opening a case with PayPal. Total waste of time and energy. Beware!
Check things closely
Their site calulated postage for some earbuds as $15. I got on chat to check this, and they said that the earbuds would ship from Australia, and that $15 was the correct price. Did not buy. I'd be wary of dealing with them.

Terrible experience -- Digital Cinema Auburn
I am writing this review about my personal experience with Digital cinema –Auburn. I hope this review might help some. All information expressed in this review is my personal experience and I have written proof of all my transactions with the company.
I bought theatre projector system from Digital Cinema in May 2016. The personnel, who did the transaction took my bank details and send me an invoice (via email) as per agreed deal. The deal included
a. 2 extra 3D glasses and
b. An extra projector lamp.

Arrogant Sales staff
Rang up to enquire about a product and was forced into telling them i would purchase today to get a price. Then was on hold for over 5 minutes only to be told i need to purchase today to get a price. Finally was given a price a and said i would call them back and they hung up on me! If i could give 0 stars i would!!
Woeful post sale service!
Everything was satisfactory before the sale was made, price match was given and on a product that was quite hard to find in Australia. However once the sale was made and they had received my money it all fell apart. The speaker I had purchased sat in store for a week before anyone noticed that it hadn't been shipped and then after my phone calls were handed around the store and return calls were promised I had to chase up (repeatedly) to resolve the situation. Sub par customer service from my experience.

Purchased a Marantz SR5009. Worked for about 3 hours and failed after firmware upgarde. Had no video out. Would work at times and fail again. Contacted Marantz tech support and they adviced to return it back to store as it was within the 14 day return period. This issue seems to be common if you do a internet search. Contacted Digital Cinema and he refused a refund, Exchange or to pay extra and upgrade to another model. Only option I was given is to have it repaired it locally.
I have offered to pay for the freight and refund the balanc...e and they still would not agree or reply my emails. It is nearly a week and they are happily holding on to my $1200.00 without giving me a proper decision. I had to go and pay a similar amout and purchase another locally as I was without TV and music. They were very helpfull prior to taking the money but when things went bad did not want to know you. The real judgement of service comes not at the point of sale but for the support you receive when things go south. Cannot believe there are retail companies which such low standards Will take the matter up with Queensland fair trading.

I have had great dealings with this company and if you are wanting to secure a great deal paying a small deposit should not be a problem ..
