This is a scam! Buy $1500 (supposedly worth $1700 in travel credits)and only allowed to use 11 travel points
Lots of additional fees in order to not lose what you have spent already! Threats of losing what you have spent unless you pay further fees. Promises that they will match any other deal. Exhausting process and appalling response. Fair trading will sort this out if we don’t get a refund
This is so not worth it do not join under any circumstances
I joined this before Covid and paid over 1000 do not pay for so called dollars it’s a joke.
It has turned into a nightmare we would never recommend to anyone DO NOT JOIN
Joined this earlier for 1K when it was 241 and had not used it in 2 years due to covid then it changed to D365 and asked to lay another 1K then wen it was finally time to use it found that only a small portion of dollars could be used towards travel and not what I nominated to use! Tried to fight for refund and denied. Then socked in for annual fee too on top!! Total rip off. D365 staff very unhelpful and d not provide full transparency in the beginning and suck you in and offer little reward. Only positive is that I managed to be linked to a g...reat travel agent who I will only go through as she is genuine and provides great service. Everything else D365 offer is definitely not worth the trouble and I would strongly discourage anyone from joining this scam!
Pushing for a sale on a client with a disability!
Very disappointed with a phone call that was made to my client. Lady over the phone pressuring for a sale despite being told several times not the right time, not financially viable and made clear he was on a disability pension.
He said to a different lady previously he needs time to think (this lady was good) which this new lady did not respect at all and was pressuring him to spend $1000 over the phone without having that time to think.
This makes the company very scammy and that they prey on people who are vulnerable.
Happy to take my money, but when COVID hit, not happy to refund anything at all - bad news!
Booked and paid for out TASMANIA holiday, then COVID hit, so had to cancel everything. Was told one lie after another lie, however, fought with QLD fair trading to look into this scam, however, lost our monies for some accommodation, but did receive a small portion for other accommodation. Obviously, was never reimbursed my DD's paid, which does irritate me, but after all the reviews I've read, we are not alone in this matter. I've outlaid so much money and have to use nearly $4000.00 for a holiday, however, won't ever book anything so just was...ted our money, a total and utter scam and no helpful people to assist with our enquiries. PLEASE DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS SCAM, YOU'RE BETTER OF BOOKING YOUR OWN HOLIDAY, USING YOUR OWN MONEY, YOUR OWN WAY!!!
Deceptive sales tactics
Like many others who have reviewed Discover365, I purchased this product for $1000 with the understanding that I would be able to use my “Discovery Dollars” towards holidays for my family. I remember the phone conversation clearly. How very disappointing that you can often only use the “Discovery Dollars” for 5% off the total amount.
The website is also very bad and makes trying to book anything almost impossible.
I made a complaint and asked for my money back. I was contacted by a rude consultant who told me that they had listened to my orig...
They will happily take your money - but you should have shopped elsewhere...
Being a veteran of ADF, I was entitled to a discounted membership through a partner company (APOD).
I created a membership and booked a cruise. I then proceeded to recommend 10 others to use the Agency as they seemed alright and helpful.
This seemed to go well until COVID came along and ruined the plans. Agency did what they could to reschedule.
Moving forward 6 months, I receive a refund for the cruise. Took time but I believe it was at no fault of the agency as the money was tied up in the cruise company. (This was going to orig...inally be 4-stars and not a 1-star rating. Unfortunately, this is where the helpfulness stopped) I get contacted 1 year later (after my membership expired) by a Discover 365 promotor. The salesperson on the phone - in short - convinced me to buy into a promotion. The promotion; if I pay $449, the discover dollars and the membership that had expired will be reinstated and another $2000 discover dollars would be added to my account. I mentioned that I take max 1 holiday per year and that I was expecting a child in the following year (therefore not being able to use residual $DD). The salesperson said that 60% of your holiday could have Discover Dollars applied (so a great ROI on my first trip). 1 month later: I try and book a holiday through the website, and after some difficulty finding an appropriate deal, I reached out to the online chat service. The best they could do for me was $104 discover dollars (for a total $2500 package, including discount)
This is a scam
The product is not disclosed as it actually is. Whilst "discovery dollars" are equal to an actual dollar, they only give you small discounts to your travel plans you are not able to use them to pay for an entire experience. For example, a 7 night accommodation package might be listed as $700 per person, you can only use $100 discovery dollars to reduce the price to $600 per person.
I was not made aware of this, when I was contacted, after already paying $400 for a cruise voucher which I couldn't use because it was only valid for 2 people (we ha...
Feeling totally ripped off
Was sold this certificate at the beginning of the pandemic in Australia and expected that as no cruising was happening that when cruising was again available, that I would be able to use my certificate. Have just got on to have a look and my certificate has expired. Unfortunately I have made the mistake of also purchasing 365 rewards through this same company that told me my 241 certificate would be extended. That did not happen. Just don't understand that under the circumstances, that we are not given the opportunity to use these certificates ...now that things are finally starting to open up. I wasn't even aware that cruising was even available, based on all the news coverage !! Im sure that I'm not the only one that would be in this situation. Extremely disappointed with my experience
Worst company to deal with, they tell you about all this amazing rubbish that never happens , gets you to pay $1000.00 for supposed offers that never happen , its a scam rip off , nobody returns calls they just take your money as you are just another number. Worst organisers in tours, no trust.
Keep your money guys and dont book with this company
Scam - Do not get involved with this company
Transferred my membership from 241 Rewards at additional cost of $699 and changed our minds within the grace period. I have sent emails and left phone messages and no one will reply. and now it looks like the phones are not connected. Friends recommended 241 and we should not have transferred the membership. This is a scam.
Worst disasterous Rip off Adventure
We just got back from 4 week disaster adventure , tours cancelled with out us being imformed, complete shambles, company not answering calls, when emailed they said sorry, sorry is just a word and cant fix a ruined holiday, dont want to refund all our money, worst company ever to deal with , they are just scamers, take peoples money & then dont want to know you . We were devestated, first holiday in 12 yrs ruined.
All promises made are false, dont book with this company,
RATING 0000000000000% the worst ever. Our expectations were not met, we had to spend more than we should unexpectedly, it was BAD BAD BAD BAD AND WORSE,
NEVER book with this company Discover 365,
It is a TRAP! Save yourself and stay away! DO NOT Sign up with them.
They said when you spend $1000 you get the same amount ($1000) or even higher value of Discovery Dollar. IT IS A TRAP. They never tell you the discovery dollar can only be applied partially on your trip.
For example, when you book a $1000 accommodations, they only allow you to apply $100 discovery dollar and the rest you will still need to pay cash ($900). Then if you dont use up all the Discovery Dollar at the end of 12 months terms, they will charge you a fee to extend for another year. What a joke! Those are my money and they just lock it...and it is very hard to use. Like the other comments below, This company is taking your money away , but you will never get the value you spent!!! Please stay away I hope no more ppl get into this trap, We are extremely regret signing up. PLEASE STAY AWAY and keep the money with yourself.
Not happy Jan
Received a call today promoting Discovery 365? Renee knows her product but I do wish the costs would be spoken of straight away. I have to book my next cruise using my voucher by October. How do I know what to book and when. None of us know about the cruise lines. I had the option of joining this Discover 365 but the price is $999 then to stay in the program it will be a fee of $59 a year. Why should I hand over another $999.00 for more discounts?? Still haven’t used my $2000 product worth of discounts. I was scammed last time so I said NO t...o this new offer. Besides waiting for refunds is not on. I've had 2 cruises cancelled this year and had to wait sometime for the refunds. They used COVID as an excuse. No, I'm not going to depart with my hard-earned dollars to get caught again. Be very careful folks. Transparency
I asked for a quote on some accommodation and the discount given to me , even with my travel dollars applied could not match the price I could get elsewhere and they were only prepared to match the price. Also no cancellations were allowed.
I paid a decent membership fee to be in this. What an absolute rip-off.
I transferred from the 241 reward because of COVID and not wanting to cruise. They sell the travel dollars to you. These travel dollars are dollar for dollar given to you as a 365 member transferred from 241 and also as a special sign...
