Terrible customer service and bundle. Cut the power off too soon

Customer service put my details in incorrectly.
When moving out, they cut the power as soon as they can, during the last day, with no confirmation. This was also not stated by their terrible customer service.
Everytime you call up, you will get transferred at least 3 times and have to verify your identity each time, very frustrating.
Do not recommend going with them, too much hassle.
Their nbn is also very dodgy and not worth it even if it's slightly cheaper. Show details

Don't go with DODO!!

Horrible Customer Service

We have been waiting for over 2 months to be able to upgrade our electricity system.
The work is performed by Energex who need the energy retailers permission to progress the work (this is Dodo). Despite multiple phone calls, emails and assurance3s from Dodo we are still waiting for them to reply to Energex's repeated requests.

Their rates and feedback tariff's have also gone up considerably since we joined.

I do not recommend them at all if you are relying on any reliable customer service. Show details

Dodo have rubbish customer service

Keep getting bills to the occupier even after we have closed the account. When you try to speak to their customer service they don't have a clue. Just stop sending me bills I no longer have an account with you. Show details

They are terrible do not use DODO

I'm living in the same address last two years and never change the settings in my heating system and never fall behind my payments. All the sudden my gas bill jumped from $300 monthly to $1400. I lodged a complaint and guess what my next bill add another $1600 and comes to $3000 like I'm running a restaurant.

I haven't changed the seetings in my heater and after my complaint 3rd month my new cycle bill is $598!!!! And still the same setting. So how come last 2 bill came that high on same setting????

And lady i spoke on the phone reassured me that I'm not going to pay that bill but ballance now $3600???

I'm taking a legal action.... Show details

Don't get dodo no matter what

Their customer service is so pathetic that i lodged a complaint for wrong electricity bill and every week i had to chase them. The only response they gave me was "someone will contact you" and then no one ever contacted. I chased them for about a month to fix my bill but no luck. And had to get rid off them. Such a nasty service they have. Show details

No good. Changing to another provider

I have used Dodo Power and Gas for more than 3 yr. They were good at the beginning but now became terrible. They used to pay a good price for Solar but now they cut it down 50%. They are very fast to sign you up but very difficult to reach when you have the issue. The customer service is very poor.

That's why I decided to another provider. Show details

Something is not right

Today I got an e-mail with a letter & a final invoice, the letter stated that they had issues getting info to calculate my final bill I really can't see what issues they had seeing that my metre is so easy to access, They have charged me $305.16 billing period was from 7/6/23 to 3/8/23 we are In a cost of living crisis how do you expect someone on disability to pay that much In 14 days It was your incompetence that has caused this bill so I shouldn't have to pay so much for your mess. Show details

worst electric retailer I have ever used

They sent me incorrect bills in last 3 quarters and tried to get me to pay 4 times than I should. I have reported to them every time I received incorrect bills and no improvement at all. Then I switched to another provider, on my closing bill, I was charged 5300kwh more than what’s on meter. And I tried to call them and no one answer the phone. Terrible service. Show details

Zero stars if I could! Not value for money - gas

I moved to dodo because they had what appeared to be good gas rates in Melbourne. However, as soon as I joined, oh my rates magically went up! Yes I know lots of things have gone up, but they have jacked the prices up 26-30%. I wrote to them to give them a chance to provide a decent rate but clearly they rely on people not looking around. I have found a much cheaper rate and will Never use dodo services ever again in my life! My tip, shop around! Show details

Can't see Electricity in MyDodo

Have signed up for Electricity and NBN on 16 May 2023. While NBN appears in my dodo within a day, my electricity account does not appear online until now for me to setup direct debit. As if this is not enough, I have received a notice threatening to cut the power if the electricity bill is not paid before a certain date (while I was overseas). After my return, a Chat agent told me to contact by phone and not by chat to resolve this. When I tried that, I got disconnected after waiting for 30 minutes for an operator. the worst rate for royal customers

I have been using Dodo electricity for the past 10 years. However, I recently discovered that their current supply rate is only $0.98, while I have been charged $1.65 for the last 18 months. This feels like they are cheating their customers. I am extremely disappointed with their business practices. Other providers are offering rates ranging from $0.80 to $1 only. Show details

once you apply the dodo electricity, their internet sales call you a few times a day

just apply dodo electricity connection, I even unticked the box for internet sales contact, but I still received a few calls a day from dodo to hard sell their internet connection, I believe many people have made the same complaint no wonder their number 02 91335760 is displayed as 'Suspected Spam', I have to cancel my dodo electricity connection to stop this disturb. Show details

DO NOT GO WITH DODO

Dodo has refused to refund me when I pay all of my bills in advance.... I have a $ 776.00 overpayment and they refuse to refund my money. I have a 0 balance for the last quarter because I pay all of my bills in advance and more!! They are thrives and refuse to pay back my refund. I gave called 5 times and they give me the run around. Please whatever you do DO NOT GO WITH THIS ELECTRICITY company. They have tortured me for 18 days and refuse to give me a refund..... its disgusting Show details
