Terrible, deceitful service and damaged furniture
The sales representative lied to us about delivery time and it arrived weeks after we expected.
When it did arrive, it arrived damaged and customer service was not helpful or reassuring. Also the wood colour of the table did not match the chairs in the set we ordered.
Don't waste your money or time!
Quoted two different prices
I used their chat feature to enquire about the price of one of their beds. I also emailed them. I got an immediate response from the chat and quoted an expensive but relatively reasonable price. I then received a response email to my original email 1- 2 days later quoting a price of roughly $400 more. I believe they googled my name, saw I was a white collar professional and increased their price as such. I asked why the price difference and the response from steph was that his price was the right price lol. If I had screen shotted the original ...price I would have taken him to ACCC. Never email them or give your details before buying or they could do the same with you. Marketing tactics. Have transparency in your prices Domayne-wont buy from there now onwards.
We have been looking for a new sofa for some time and yesterday, after looking in many, many stores we finally found one at Domayne QV in Melbourne. The sales consultant, Daniel, was absolutely excellent. He perfectly balanced offering his help and knowledge of the products (Garstone recliners) with respect for our need to take our time and be really sure we were making the right decision. He answered all of our questions, gave us good advice and also allowed us space and time to consider configurations and fabric choices, even bringing me a ve...ry welcome bottle of water. When we were ready to place the order, he dealt with us courteously and very efficiently. Daniel has excellent customer service skills from which many others in retail could learn!
A Happy Customer
Very happy with the assistance given in understanding the nature of the Tempur mattress cover and Tempur doona. The knowledge of the product, patience in sharing this information via phone or in person, willingness to understand your needs together with time given in the lead up to Xmas was very much appreciated. Thank you.
We purchased a set of leather sofas in-store at the QV centre, Melbourne. The purchasing process was fine, and generally you have to wait 10 - 15 weeks for delivery, but there was one in stock and they could deliver on Saturday and we only purchased on Thursday! So we opted for delivery on Monday - they phoned the day ahead as they said they would and scheduled delivery between 9:30 and 11:30. They arrived just before 10am! The sofas are the correct colour and in perfect condition.
Worst Customer Service Ever Received!
The customer service representative lady over the phone was terrible and rude, interrupted few times when I was talking. Delivery part is contracted to external parties. I was advised that I would get a call one day before delivery date and will be given a two hour time rage. Driver did call one day before delivery date and I missed the calls. There was no voice messages left nor text messages sent. I called back and driver did not pick up. The driver then rock up the following morning without making sure I know the time range for the delivery ...and I was not home. After three rounds of communication with Domayne customer service, they insisted on charging the redelivery fee and altitude was very negative. Don't shop at Domayne please as they only cares about sales!
Very poor service from Domayne, Melbourne CBD.
New to Melbourne, and without checking just ordered a couch from one of the Domayne store located in Melbourne CBD in Dec 2016, they took 3 months for delivery. Their service is very worst, never saw such a worst service before. The staff members are well-trained to throw lies to attract customers and not following whatever they say. In fact, no proof is given for any of their offers they are telling verbally. The staff members are rude when we ask for details. No proof or receipt is given for the final settlement. I was disappointed by their staff's rude behavior.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM QV !
I purchased two marble top tables, first attempt at delivery they only delivered two chairs and forgot to load up the marble side tables. Then when I unwrapped the marble side table it had a visible chip on one of the corners, Called the store they said they " needed evidence of this and I needed to send them photos of the chip before they would replace it" Next day I called again and they said they would arrange a replacement of the side table, that week. Waiting all day on the wed and no one showed up. Called manager again said he was sorry...and would ask his truck people to arrange another delivery next week. Today was delivery day and when I checked the table again, the one delivered had a huge missing markble peice on the corner!!! Unbelievable they got it wrong again. By this time all my patience is gone. I called store again and really was upset by this stage, they have promised to delivery another marble table again tomorrow, but I am not holding my breathe!! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT DOMAYNE AGAIN THEY ARE THE WORST AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WASTE YOUR TIME WHEN DELIVERING GOODS AND THEY DO NOT ENSURE THAT FURNITURE IS PROPERLY PACKAGED SO IT IS NOT DAMAGED IN THEIR TRUCKS.

Great service from bedding department at QV
I'm not sure how the rest of the reviewers got such bad experiences but they surely didn't get served by Nathalie. My partner and I went into the store today with the intention of researching for a new mattress. Nathalie was so informative and helpful, we ended up leaving with a new Tempur, base AND a mattress protector! Great sales pitch and customer service, thank you!
Slowest delivery you will ever get
I ordered a dining table and a set of chairs from domayn QV in November, I was informed that shipping might take around 4 weeks and at most 2 months to come due to the holiday season. I agreed to the estimated date and now it's may and still haven't received the table! I called several times and every time was told that the delivery would be there by the end of the month. By now it's been almost 6 months since j ordered the furniture. Highly disappointing and frustrating! Unless you are willing to wait half a year for a delivery don't order from domayn. Places like k-mart and IKEA can deliver within a week.
Long wait but worth it
I was a bit reluctant to order from Domayne after seeing all the reviews on here re wrong stuff delivered, long waits and bad customer service. However living remotely there were little options available and Domayne offered reasonable delivery fee and the type of sofa i wanted. Customer service was always pleasant on the phone and delivery was within the 10 weeks. The delivery driver came alone which was surprising but I offered to help as my unit is up some stairs and he did have a lifter. Delivery man extremely friendly and accomdating and helped unwrap and position my furniture and took all the rubbish away! Would recommend if you dont mind a long wait for your furniture. Sofas seem well made and stylish.
terrible experience ..
We went into domayne qv looking for a dinning table. We did come across one that we thought would be great for a little place which happened to be on sale as it was floor stock. We bought it thinking we had made a bonus purchase. We were very wrong when table arrived. It wasn't what we had bought . The wobbled like jelly. Even delivery guys couldn't believe how unstable it was. We managed to get sent off to get fixed after a numerous phone calls with sales consultant. We received the table a week later only to have the delivery guys notify us ...that table was cracked. When we had a look at it the legs were still lose and there were bolts attaching legs to table...Legs had chipped paint and cracks from pressure of bolts as well as cracks on upper sides of table . Store consultant offered to get us a brand new table. After our complaint and emails showing pics of table . She didn't seem fussed or worried bout what we thought , apologising from any one ..As though she was used to dealing with these sort of issues. I will never shop with these people again. ..
Excellent price and great service!
My husband and I purchased a Tempur Crown mattress from Domayne in QV Melbourne. The sales person Sandy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! He gave us enough suggestions and products knowledge to help us select the most preferable and comfortable mattress to suit our needs! However, looks like all the poor reviews came from the delivery process, so we will wait and see.
6 months and still waiting for order
I ordered and paid for a bedside table from Domayne in October 2014. 6 months later I am still waiting for my order to arrive. This would single-handedly be the worst shopping experience of my life. The most abysmal part is Domayne never call to update me where my order is. It only when I call that they are prompted to bother chasing up the supplier. Totally inept on basic customer service and trying to make this matter right.
How this company exists is beyond me. Looking at other reviews I am just one of many who have succumbed to the glossy brochure backed up by a bucket shop...
Most terrible shopping experience ever!
Really poor quality products, absolutely disgusting costumer services! Bought a faulty table and was being refused a refund! Wrote complaint on their Facebook page and the store manager called me up and told me off! Shocking costumer service! After complaining to consumer affairs Victoria and the complaint on Facebook, they agreed to give me a refund, but it's been delayed due to various excuses they give me. I still haven't not received a refund yet! Don't buy from them ever!

Purchased a mattress which has broken down within a year, ie. within warranty period. But no help whatsoever, very disappointed.

Horrible after-sales customer service
We bought a number of items from Domayne (QV, Melbourne) including 2 sofas, coffee table, dining table, dining chairs and bar stools and were expecting all items to be ready around 5 weeks from the purchase date as stated in the receipt as well as a call around the 4th week for a update. On the 5th week when we hadn't heard a peep we called up to ask what was happening only to be told that there would be another 4 week delay due to the fabric for the sofas being out of stock. This was infuriating not just because of the delay but also because o...f the lack of communication. When we finally had the furniture delivered, we had further issues such as a cracked sofa leg, paint peeling off on one of the dining table legs and also they tried to give us a cracked glass coffee table (floor stock) when we had ordered and paid for a brand new one. Even to this day (approx 3 months later) we are still waiting on these items to be re-delivered. And no doubt we will have to call up again and again for updates.
Aftersales service is bad
I bought a leather sofa set in Feb n it was broken in mid May.In beginning of June I took the photos n went to the store (QV Melbourne) to lodge a complain.The staff took the photos and my details and say that they were contact me in 2weeks.I waited but until July and the sofa is getting softer on the broken part.Then on 19 July I went to the store to lodge another complaint.And the staff say that she didn't have my photos and details.She told me to email her and she will contact me in a week time so I did as she said.And I have send 2 emails to her and yet I didn't hear from her.A very very bad service.
