WORST company I have ever dealt with
Domayne sold me an outdoor table set. There were numerous manufacturing defects that I noted immediately upon receipt of the set. The table and benches had several defects. The benches often making a loud cracking sound when more than one person sits on it. They kept telling me that the "irregularities" in the table and benches were normal.
We recently moved and took off the tabletop to find 22 redback spiders living inside the hollow base (as well as many other species with which we were unfamiliar). They can easily crawl out of the base ...to the underneath of the table from the hollow base (at the top or at the bottom as both have gaps) while we are sitting there enjoying a meal and we have five little girls ages 3, 4, 7, 12 and 14. The base is literally a haven for poisonous spiders. After several email conversations with the franchise owner, she is unwilling to assist. We kindly requested a pickup and refund of the set due to safety hazard and the unreasonable danger to our children and they have repeatedly refused. They say the table couldn't possibly be a haven for spiders, but they missed the fact that the gap between the hollow base and the top is big enough to fit an entire pencil. They won't respond to any of my correspondence regarding the issue. We spent $3100 on this table set and now we basically have to throw it away. I have never had such a poor experience with any company. They have no conscience or ethics.
Best before and after sales service
We have had the best possible experience purchasing furniture for our new home through Domayne. From the first rate sales personnel (Jessie) the store manager (Jason) to the customer care officer (Betty) . Jessie has great product knowledge and if she doesn't know the answer to a question she won't rest until she does. We received valet delivery service which included installation and erection. Jason visited our home the next day to replace some incorrect screws that had come in a flat pack, even though we live an hour away from the Domayne...store. We had a problem with our white leather dining chairs and Betty was tireless on our behalf until the problem was corrected. We have nothing but the highest praise for Domayne Springvale and their wonderful staff. Thank you Domayne!

After sales service - Garbage
Bought a lounge suite and was contacted for delivery promptly. The delivery driver[name removed] or excrement into my carpet and pretended he hadn't. Called Domayne who said they used contractors for deliveries; I told them that's not my problem it's theirs and they need to clean my carpet ASAP. Owner of the delivery firm took 3 business days to get a cleaner to come out and clean my carpet - after I reminded him and called Domayne to complain about how long it was taking to get my poo covered carpet cleaned. The furniture is ok, their service and knowledge of consumer law is poor.
Bed section customer service was very bad and never buy from them anymore. They shouting and the manager not a good person. Not happy with all of them. They promise for delivery but they never do. Worst place to buy bed.
We LOVE our new sofa!
This is the 2nd sofa we have purchased from Domayne...the first one was in storage at our workplace (warehouse) for a year while we waited for renovations to happen. It was great quality and so comfy, but we never got to use it. I only sat on it a couple of times when we got it and when we sold it due to the renovation not happening yet :(
So we got a new sofa last week from Domayne, that would work with the small space we currently have. We ordered in December, and the saleswoman said it would take up to Australia Day to get it, but we got...it two weeks earlier! Yay! We ordered a leather one and we thought that the colors available were not that great, but as the sofa was the only one that would work in our small space we had to make do with the available colors in the swatches. We ordered a brown one, which was risky but i wanted to create a 'scandi' vibe (yes, me too!) and felt it would go best with our pure white walls. The swatch seemed darker than I wanted, but was the only brown option that came close to what we were looking for. Well, when it arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes. The brown was such a gorgeous, light tan color, and I am STOKED with it! The sofa looks AMAZING and there is NO BETTER option we could have chosen, for the sofa OR the color! The scandi vibe is not yet achieved (!) but we're a step closer now! The quality is second to none, and the delivery guys were the best you could ask for. They were polite and professional and careful with my new lovely sofa and they put it together perfectly and took all the packaging materials away.
Bought a mattress 3.30 Sunday afternoon for about 4k. Tried to cancel order 10am Monday morning. Was told it was impossible and would cost me $800!!!. They tried to intimidate,bully and lie.
Had to threaten VCAT and still ended up paying $100 to the lying, bullying proprietor. He says he’s been to VCAT MANY TIMES in the past and doesn’t seem concerned whatsoever!!!!!
Salesman did a medical examination on my back and told me where my problem was?????

I bought queen size mattress with adjustable base. Since using this mattress, my back has been sore and terribly pain. When I tried it in the store, very comfortable, but my own is not unfortunately. My sis also has same model with king size, but her bed is alright. I choosed medium as advised seller in Domayne, but it’s not medium surely. I’m really unhappy with this result.

I purchased a mattress from Domayne Springvale today from Salesperson Vicky.
I had excellent customer experience and she has good product knowledge. I was really impressed by the service provided by salesperson and also the Franchise Russell.

Sales staff were amazing--at selling product.
Ended up paying $17,000 for 2 Tempur matresses and 2 bed frames.
Upon delivery the driver says difficult to take up staircase and cannot do it. So after 15 minutes back and forth they reluctantly do it as i said i will need full refund.
Once upstairs the expensive bed frame is not in master bedroom so i ask them to swap frame from daughters room to master bedroom. They say cannot be done and ask for more money.

Great Customer Service
I purchased a package deal from Domayne in store.
After receiving my delivery I had a problem with my sofas, the manufacturer did not agree with my complaint which was quite stressful but Domayne kept to their word, I could not have asked for better customer service. Betty from Springvale kept me in the loop throughout the process and reassured me Domayne was there for the customer.
Sadly the issue could not be resolved, but Domayne offered me a full refund. Excellent aftercare service I highly recommend.

Used to have better furniture
I've purchased a bed in store about a year ago and went back to look and a lot of their furniture now looks cheap and rather boring looking.. Even their bathroom accessories and kitchenware are just the normal brands that you can buy off temple and Webster anyway.. They need to up their game and try stay more on trend.
My space bunk bed
Went to Springvale store to look at king single size bunk beds. Found the my space bunk suited our needs in terms of size and height.
Being low line it would be easy to make up the top bunk regularly and the bottom bunk safely on the floor for our 3 year old.
Bunk is advertised in several colours-none of which were available to see.
Staff member assisting had to go find out if mdf the bunk is made of was made in China or not. We were told bunk is melbourne made, mdf made in Australia.

Fantastic shopping experience in Domayne
Me and my husband went to buy a new mattress, the sales lady Vicky were professional and informative, introduced couple of different brands. We ended up buying Krill koil mattress and quite happy with it. Thanks for Vicky, we had fantastic shopping experience in Domayne
Terrible Store! Sneaky and not open about prices as they deceive customer into buying a package.
The service was terrible! Half the time staff didn't know about the product and had to refer to someone else!!! On one occasion, I had to repeat my questions three time to 3 different people and still did not get them answered! First staff said he did not know the product and found someone else to help me. I found this acceptable. However the 2nd staff claimed that she was familiar with this brand and product but actually was not!!! Not upfront but sneaky and went to find a third staff. In general some of the staff are very sneaky and secretive...! They do not display prices and will NOT tell me the price! Their response was to decide exactly which product we wanted before they will disclose the price. They have a promotion advertised on National TV and on a huge board in store but did not have any product at the price disclosed. Some of the staff are very arrogant - made off putting statement like don't try too many of the products. Try a few and you can spend your time doing other things! Don't waste time in the store. In other words he was also saying don't waste his time!!! Point is we were intending to purchase big ticket items and we had to make sure that they were comfortable and right as they would be in use for at least a decade or more. If you have read the other reviews above, you will see that they do not refund and charge a 20% cancellation fee, so of course, one needs to be careful. The first time we went the salesgirl seemed helpful. She said she would take care of us and even said not to worry about the delivery fee which is double that of Harvey Norman (also owned by the same group). She could not tell us the delivery fee with some excuse that she had to do some research and would call us which she never did, The second time we came back, she greeted us but then disappeared and another staff who had previously said he was not familiar with this product came to pester and pressure us as to which exact model we wanted. He then quoted a delivery fee that was twice the price. Disappointing that the sales girl did not honour her "We will take care of you and give you a good price". When we ready to buy, she became unsure of terms and details and was starting to recant on the offer she had earlier made. Now it seems manager had left and they must ask him. At first said she would call him, then later in consult with another staff said the boss wouldn't answer once he left store. She tried to pressure us to come back to the store the next day knowing that we live up to 100km away. Ended with a promise that she would call us the next day re the terms and would put sale through over the phone. She never ever called back!!! Hence they loss the sale! We were getting tired of their behaviour and fortunately stumbled elsewhere on a better deal with much better service. NB that this store is sneaky and not upfront and they do not genuinely honour promos advertised. They keep prices secret and try to sell you a package. What they do is then to increase the price of one or two items in the package to compensate for the discount on the advertised product so in total, you do not really get the deal or discount advertised. Take heed and do NOT shop here. I was surprised to read the other reviews here as I hadn't seen them before and they are a true reflection of our experience!
After Sales Service
We purchased an outdoor setting from the Springvale store in 2015 and were very happy with the product, price and customer service. Unfortunately a section of the top of our beautiful table became tarnished and changed colour which totally spoiled the appearance of it. We contacted Domayne about this problem and were advised that the setting was just out of warranty and this style had been discontinued but to leave it with them. We subsequently received a phone call from Customer Service Manager, Betty Pavlou, who advised us that she had rung e...very warehouse in Australia to try and source another top for our table and had managed to track one down in South Australia. Betty arranged for the table top to be shipped to Melbourne and delivered to us down on the Mornington Peninsula. The best part for us was that Betty supplied the table top to us as a warranty replacement and it did not cost us anything! This was the most exceptional customer service experience that we have ever had. Thank you so much. Peter and Joanne
Worst shopping experience ever
I wish i read the reviews earlier! me and my girlfriend purchased 10K goods in Domayne springvale on 3 may, and paid 20% deposit of 2000, however after 2 weeks we got problem with my home loan and have to cancel the order, so I went to the store and talk to sales girl [name removed] about it.. they told me that the 2000 deposit cannot be refund because they have already ordered from their supplier all that crap. and then I demand to talk to their boss but they just told that the "big boss" is not here.. I either have to give up the deposit or...pay the rest of the money... they WONT refund you also the mattress(king koil) they sold to me is the not the newest version which they claimed it is, i did some research online.. i asked them about this, they dodgily told me it is "exclusive"... the shopping experience with domayne springvale is very unhappy and i found their customer service is very rude and unethical. when you choosing the products they always recommend the expensive one... I strongly recommend people avoid domayne sprinvale!.. they should be banned to do business in Australia!
Disgusting customer service, no doubt about products too
Even I couldn't find less than one star. Worst customer care service in Domayne Springvale. I will never shop with Domayne again. Paid advance 2K for leather sofa price of 10k and very next day called them and mentioned to hold the order for sofa since I thought it's not worth for the price but they didn't confirmed that they cancelled the order so I visited to the shop. The main saleswoman says she the owner had very arrogant tone and said she had already placed the order and cannot cancel all, because I ordered matching fabric cushions. She s...aid I have to pay for cushion because they already cut the material but my order was requested for end of April, since I'm building the house. It was so disgusting the way she spoke and wanted to get rid of deal and I agreed to pay for cusions $300 even though I don't need them. Please think twice before you buy from Domayne Springvale.
Not even worth the one star
I should have checked the reviews online to save myself the horrible experience. If there was an option to select no stars, I think that would have been a more accurate reflection of their level of service. Bought many items for my home from Domayne Springvale store and this is by far the most negative experience I have ever witnessed with the arrogant and abhorrent level of customer service I received. The department manager at homewares is condescending so save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. When a complaint was made and sent to their head office, it gets ignored and to date it's been a whole month without replies of a resolution.
