Similar thing happened to me, Jandk! I feel as if I hadn't chased it up with them, my table would have never arrived. Service stopped pretty much after they had taken my money. Luckily the sales rep was sensible enough to throw in free delivery. But yeah, terrible customer service generally. Wish I looked here beforehand.
Beautiful outdoor furniture
I visited your store and was served by Sam in the outdoor furniture department. I found Sam to be extremely informative and at the same time not pushy. I was so impressed that I came home and told my husband about this young man. We both visited the store together to purchase our new outdoor setting. My husband also found Sam extremely knowledgable and very helpful. Good work Sam you impressed us.
My recently purchased mattres was filthy from new
When I decided I needed a new mattress I visited the Domayne City West store. I decided that I wanted something that would last. I tested the mattress in the showroom and found one a Sleepmaker that suited my comfort level. I was approached by a sales lady and proceed to the checkout. The sales lady tried to convince me to purchase a mattress protector they ranged from $75 to $150. I declined her generous offer telling her I already had two mattress protectors at home. She then told me that her mattress protectors also come with warranties and ...these warranties would replace my mattress if it ever somehow got stained. I politely told her I am not interested. She was not impressed. As I was paying for the mattress I was asked if I would like to pick it up or pay an $85 delivery fee. I decided on the option to pick it up. I was then told that there warehouse is all the way out in Bibra Lake. I was also told that their warehouse only opens between 9am and 3pm. I knew this was going to be a challenge to find time to pick up my newly purchased mattress. A week later I had time to travel all the way out to Domayne's dirty old warehouse shed in Bibra Lakes. When the staff brought out my mattress wrapped in plastic I noticed that the plastic was filthy and covered in dust. I took it home and the first thing I done was wipe down the plastic wrapping with old tea towels. When I finally removed the mattress from the plastic wrapping I noticed it had a couple of dozen stains from where the dust leaked through. I had to decide if I was going to puservear with the stains or spend an hour and a half on a round trip driving all the way out to their warehouse to replace it with another one. I decided to keep my new stained mattress. Returning it would have been too bothering. Now I know better, I will purchase my next mattress from Harvey Norman, at least their warehouse is connected to their stores and most importantly their warehouses are clean.

I wish I had read these reviews before buying from Domayne. NEVER again! Ordered a leather couch and TV cabinet from West Perth store around end of July 2014 which arrived 10 weeks later. Delivery guy was in a bad mood and was very rude. Upon unpacking, TV cabinet (nearly $2K) was faulty… one door was crooked and out of alignment (one door was higher than the other). The inside of ALL 4 drawers were very badly painted and in some areas not painted at all. There were black marks & scratches in one of them. Overall, very bad workmanship. It was ...a total disappointment. We immediately contacted the store and was given an email address of the person to contact. They offered us an appalling $120 for us to keep their faulty $2K cabinet or take a replacement which we were told would take another 10-12 weeks to make. We emailed back (with 2 Domayne staff in cc) and opted for the replacement. We waited and waited and waited. Today, 23 weeks later, we contacted them again and were told BOTH staff did not receive our email ??? to confirm we wanted a replacement. She said it would take ANOTHER 12 weeks to get the new one. She was rude, dismissive and uncourteous, offering no apology until I demanded one. I hang up when she began to raise her voice at me. I called the other person who was in cc and was told rudely by the person who has supposedly replaced her that the other had quit and was no longer working there. I said I would launch an official complaint and I was told to go right ahead! We have now requested for a total refund and sending back their expensive piece of crap. Domayne, what a horrific experience. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
The worst customer services ever. Still did not get my furniture ordered 2 months ago
I have ordered an expensive dining furniture set (~8,000AUS) on the 25th of June at Harvey Norman/Domayne Perth, WA. I was assured that the furniture was on stock and would be delivered in 4, maximum 6 weeks.
After ordering and paying I received a phone call saying my order would be delivered in 8 weeks. I've just purchased a new house and had no furniture in it, so I asked to arrange delivery as agreed i.e within 6 weeks.
Now 8 weeks gone and I received another phone call informing that my order will be delivered in 2-3 weeks. I tried to co...
Good service in store, but why the hidden warehouse?
We went to the Domayne store in West Perth We found what we were looking for,a lamp table, and the girl serving us was great, she rang the warehouse confirm they had one that we could pick up the following day.
The problem was when we went to get it we could not find the place? The problem was although we had a map from the store with address of the warehouse, we drove around and around ended up having to ask someone...they had no signage or even a number on the street. When we did get to it we found they had a small sign hidden in side th...e door, seems that Domayne belongs to Harvey Norman and they share the warehouse..all secret squirrel stuff. Did not make us very happy driving around like that. The store service. Trying to find the warehouse.
I went into Domayne City West Perth to have a look at a new bed and mattress. The sevice I received was fantastic not only from one staff member, but from over 4 of them. They explained the difference between all the mattresses and the different brand, what they were made of and which ones suited me better. They did not rush me in making a decision and were just so helpful.
Not sure I got the most competitive price.
