Great service at the Fyshwick store.
Purchased few doors from doors plus in Fyshwick, I found James to be very helpful, had a great product knowledge and very pleasant to deal with, I have also had some communications with the store manager and was very happy with the service provided.
I will be recommending Doors Plus to everyone I know.
Great service & Speedy
Looked for a front door on Sat 21st Nov excellent customer service from Josh at Balcatta WA, he did a measure that afternoon, door fitted on Wed 25th Nov.
The Wollongong store is operated by a husband and wife team. Whilst I have found the wife to be lovely and helpful, i am actually quite traumatised by how rude and obtuse the male is. His customer service and manner is aggressive and rude. I am in the need of a barn door but he continually quotes me different prices each time we speak and gives me new information that he says he has already told me eg about the 8 week wait when this was need to me today. I told him that i find his manner uncomfortable and he said “I feel the same at this end “ - where did this man learn his customer service?

WHAT A FUSS!!
My experience with Doors Plus was anything from “No Fuss”. Firstly it took over 4 months to get my bifold doors delivered after many ignored emails and phone calls. During the quoting stage I was very clear about what I wanted with the sales consultant who ended up also being the person who came out to install the door. I also called and emailed photos to the Mitcham sales office to confirm what I wanted could be achieved. (We are talking about a very basic bifold door, so nothing too complicated) or so I thought. Long story short, on installa...tion day the doors were installed exactly how I didn’t want them. (Hello, do I speak english?) Ie With poorly fitted wooden trim all the way around the door to hide the masive gap between the door frame and new door. On top of this, the door is too short so there is a 20mm gap under door and 10mm on top which looks really bad as it’s next to a linen press door that goes all the way to ground. After expressing my disatisfaction to the installer, I wasn’t going to pay the final payment until this was fixed, however the Sales Manager that I was asked to call got quite angry with me and said I was breaching their sales terms by not paying in full. This same Sales Manager PROMISED to help sort out my issue the very next day if I paid now, so I paid him over the phone. As soon as I did so, I was asked to send photos which after viewing he replied,, “Oh that gap under the door is normal”. Nothing to see here!! I haven’t heard from them since and don’t think I ever will. Overall a drawn out exhausting experience which has resulted in a pretty ordinary door for $1500 from a company who claim to SPECIALISE in fitting doors. Never again!
Don't bother, worst service I've ever experienced
Ordered a main door back in July 2020, was told 8 weeks to install and paid a 25% deposit to secure the door. Did not receive any further communication at all. At 12 weeks after the order, I rang them to find out what was going on, and was told they had changed processes and were working through orders, then told my door was still not ready but they would find out and get back to me. Nothing again, went into store and told that nothing could be done and I had to contact their office. Asked for a refund, again told nothing could be done in store.... Contacted the office again and told they needed 90% payment up front before they would install the door I had now been waiting 14 weeks for. I demanded a refund, told they could not help me over the phone but they could transfer me to someone that could. Got transferred back to the store, told again all they can do is email their office. Still no resolution.
No fuss, that's all we've had
Started off well, had a door installed in July, door looks great, but the lock didn't work. Carpenter said, no worries we will replace it. A week later and we received a partial new lock. However what we were left with is a door that locks or unlocks sometimes, you can be locked in or out the house when it decides to not work. Multiple calls to Sefton Park, head office emails and promises that someone will come and fix it and then denials of these promises. Absolutely disgraceful. We've now had to pay for a screen door so we have a reliable loc...k and some security! Your customer service is atrocious, no-one wants to give a name so we actually know who we are speaking to. So very disappointed considering its not a cheap door. No fuss - false advertising.
Noel exhibited what a true carpenter should be when he replaced our workshop door which faces the weather. The work was neatly done,well fitted and tidy. He has pride in his work. No mess afterwards. He is a great asset to DOORS PLUS.
We found the staff at doors plus Geelong to be both professional and very knowledgeable, Charlie was very helpful and gave us great advice. The fitter was a delight to watch as he was a true professional.
Best service ever
Went to Macgregor store.served by Raymond who had a difficult job sorted and booked in 15 minutes. Installer was great and completed a difficult job. End result was better than we could have hoped for. Brilliant tradesman. Will be back with another job soon. Highly recommended.
Review for Doors Plus Footscray store
This review is based on their customer service. I wouldn’t know what their products are like and i probably never will as i no longer want to give them my business. It’s a shame as I was really into one of their designs.
I had organised for someone to come out to my place at 5:30pm a couple days ago to confirm measurements and provide a quote. To my surprise, they were a ‘no show.’ Not to mention, I had to leave work a little early to ensure I’d be home when they got there. Also, since it was after hours, I couldn’t call anyone to find out wha...t’s going on. At no point did I receive a call or text message to advise me of the situation. I called the Footscray store the following morning only to be told that someone will call me back. You’ve guessed it - no call back. There was also no apology given instead just crappy excuses. Footscray Doors Plus - how hard is it? You guys are incompetent and unprofessional. You’ve lost yourself a customer. *** update, after writing this review, i was given the opportunity to rectify this issue directly with the company prior to submitting it. I was contacted by one of their staff who stated that they will call me within 24hrs to confirm another date/time that they will attend my home to confirm measurements. Silly me, went along with it. 3 days later - no call back. What a joke. Absolutely pathetic.
My husband and I believed the vendor when he told us that it would take 2 to 3 weeks to have the door we chose installed and paid the required deposit of $400, only to find out after the payment was made
(printed in the receipt/invoice) that it will take in fact 10 weeks before the door is installed!
And of course we cannot get our deposit back..
Salesman just couldn’t be bothered. So glad we don’t speak to our customers in the same way. It was to much effort for him to find the door we wanted. But basically it was his attitude. Was going to get a price for a bifold door but not now.
I have been impressed with the team from doors plus from walking in the door to enjoying my new door. Everyone has been professional, friendly, done what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. I am extremely happy with the finished product and highly recommend doors plus at Granville.
A Happy Customer
Having made two purchases from Doors Plus over the last 5 months I have to say I'm very happy with the experience. The salesman (James) was generous with his time and responsive to my (many) questions. He took time to explain the ins and outs of what we wanted to do and made several sensible suggestions along the way. He obviously knew his stuff having been in the industry several years. I thought the prices were fair and the quality of their solid doors first rate. However, you don't really find out how good someone is until something goes ...wrong. Our latest order was misplaced, resulting in a lengthy delay due to unavailability of stock. James went out of his way, going the extra mile, to ensure we were kept informed and things went smoothly after that. The new time-frame was spot on to the day. The latest doors were delivered personally by James, ensuring everything was correct. The original (front) door has been in service for over 4 months now and looks great. Following installation James did a quality inspection in his own time to ensure our satisfaction. We're very happy with the products and experience and top marks to James, an honest and genuine operator. Thank you Doors Plus. You're most fortunate to have dedicated people like James working for you. I know much of what James did for us ate into his personal time, having visited our place twice outside of normal working hours. A big thank you to James.

Our warranty period on hardware is covered for 12 months. We only service these issues for a further 12 months after the warranty period ends.
As this order is now over 5 and a half years old, we will no longer service this.
You will need to arrange this with your own handyman.
Pretty poor I think.
Hi what is the maximum size a single guardian 2 in 1 door comes in?
Andrew, I recently had one of these doors installed at the rear of my house. I decided not to take up the offer of prepainting as this incurred a further $300.00 and we had not decided on colour etc. I strongly advise you to carefully inspect this product before purchasing. The seal on the middle glass door is not sealed against the wood and this allows rain coming through the security mesh to pass under the seal (the mitred seal is also unsealed. I can see places on the door joints that weather can effect. I also dont think the door is constructed of solid timber. I really can't be bothered with a protracted debate with Doors Plus but will simply try rectifying the problems that i see and hope that my attemps to paint/seal will last some time. Check the edges of this product as it appears hardboard is used, moisture ingress here will create a problem. I am about to start painting and can see that painting around both mesh and seal is going to be a "nightmare" Personally I cannot recommend this product! Good luck!

Our Guardians come in 2040x820x40 & 2040x870x40 off the shelf however we can custom make them up to 2400x1200x40. We have 100% solid timber versions and we also have MDF versions.
In regards to James comment, the solid timber Guardians are clear lacquered behind the rubbers and and between the screen and door.

I have a zone living bi fold door. The top bolt has come out resulting in the door not on the tracks. Plus the push button lock has broken. Is there any way to get this door repaired?
