Helps with reflux
We bought the Dr Brown bottles knowing that it helped with reflux, so tried it after my second child seemed to struggle with the pigeon bottles we had. I would say the Dr Brown bottles work to a certain extent in helping the reflux. The teats are also nice and soft like a nipple. We also eventually got the six month plus teats which have a fast flow and even flow out when the bottle is held upside down which wasn’t great. Also, found removing the green tube inside made the bottle leak all the time!

Good product but leaks alot
Since using this bottle my sons(3month old) been less gassy, but this bottle leaks alot which is really annoying despite using exact recomendations for use my only issue with the bottle. If you're not phased by leakage then this is a great product. Super easy to clean but can be time consuminh taking the parts apart to clean individually.

Great for wind but they leak
Bought a 3 pack and all leaked really bad at the collar. Went back to manufacture who sent new vents (the green parts) found the new vents work for a while with no leaking but after a week and a bit back to leaking.
Followed all instructions and was only cleaned in a electric steriliser and never microwaved.
They need to improve this product.
Purchased in October 2019 at Baby Bunting Online store for $30.00.

Great product, helped our baby spew less!
As most newborns do, our baby spat up more than we would have liked and guzzling down her milk seemed to be a big part of the cause so we switched from Tommee Tippee bottles to Dr Browns Options which includes a great little vent. The vent minimises air flow through to the baby so they just get milk - awesome! When she was a few months old we switched back to Tommee Tippee just because there are fewer parts to clean and our baby didn't need the vent any more. The vent to us was worth the investment even though we didn't use them for more than 3...
Read more months. Cleaning them was a little bit of a hassle but not too bad. Also we originally bought 1 x 150ml and then quickly bought 3 x 270ml and rarely used the 150ml again because our baby was drinking more than what it held. Oh, and it occasionally leaks, in which case you must take it all apart, wipe it down or completely clean and reassemble if it's empty - if full of milk still just wipe down what you can and reassemble. Didn't happen to much but a known problem unfortunately.lisa

Annoying but worth it!
Dr Browns wide neck bottles really helped our baby who had reflux. They stopped him from gulping air so he was more settled instantly. The bottles are annoying though. The middle part needs to be replaced every couple of months as it gets loose over time. More parts to clean and are prone to leak when travelling. Annoying but they do really work so that is the main thing. We will be using them again for our next baby regardless of if it has reflux or not. I recommend them especially for anyone who has a baby with reflux!
If you are not in a major city, you will have to order them online.

so so
The lids are so difficult to get off which is not good when you have a hungry baby, difficult to use when out, leak easy. I only used when i was home and they are good for wind but just too fiddly so i swapped to tommee tipped and very happy.

Good bottles for colic but they leak
So, for my newborn after trying 3 different brands, settled on dr brown bottles. He loved the bottles as it made him less colic and less spitting of the milk. All good with bottles, only bit of more cleaning with vent system. Secondly, they leak sometimeS. I didn't like them without vent though. Would definitely recommend them.for colic

No more gas pains! So much cleaning!
These bottles are fabulous for stopping wind getting trapped and giving your bub tummy pains. I've been using for 5 months now after being referred to them by a staff member at the baby shop! I have 7 of these bottles, 5 plastic 2 glass. I love having a happy baby but my goodness the extra cleaning and bits and pieces to sort is a pain BUT I way prefer a happy baby :) Like others, I also had a few leaks but probably user error clicking the tube into the top! Have recommended to friends who are also loving them!

Working well for us
Have been using these bottles for a few weeks now due to a colic/reflux bub. We were using event classic but bubs was in pain for 5+ hrs every day so i gave these a try. Have noticed a huge difference in him- much less fussing and less wind.
Haven't had any issues with leaking as others have mentioned.
Can be a bit fiddly & time consuming to wash all the extra parts, but if it keeps bubs satisfied i'm happy to do it.
Plan to stop using the green filter around 3 mths when colic tends to ease up.

Each to their own I found they work
Mixed reviews no 2 babies are the same and there is more to it than just the wind I have a 9 year gap between my babies my first was a breeze Isabella on the other hand rough pregnancy and delivery she also has reflux, bad wind and gas and is hard to burp making the combo hard on us. We have also changed formulas in conjunction with infants friend now but we started with these bottles after the formula change wasn't enough I bought 1 bottle to try there really not that expensive $12 for a 240 ml bottle I brought the wide neck first I've now bro...
Read moreught the 3 pack 120ml narrow neck options bottles as they allow you to use it as a normal bottle also. These are great you need to push the straw in and anyone vigorously shaking bottles doesn't understand having a wind or colic baby as the more you shake the more air you put into the formula or milk which won't help your baby if your heating the bottle I personally haven't found it a leaking issue and I use it for both breast milk and formula $12 to try it on your baby isn't breaking the bank. Reduces colic but BOTTLE LEAKS EVERYWHERE
Great bottle to reduce wind, switched over from Tommee Tippee and noticed the difference almost straight away. However the bottles leak at every single feed no matter how you put them together or how tight you screw the cap on. The leaking from the bottle drives me insane, it drips on my baby and formula gets everywhere. I have contacted dr browns about this asking as to wether it is normal for them to leak that much however got no response.
Dr Browns Leaky Bottles
The bottles are nice the only problem I have is that it leaks A LOT! There are times my daughters clothes are wet that is how much these bottles leaks it drives me insane and its extremely frustrating. What is even more frustrating the fact that the the SA distributor does not even respond in a proper manner to my inquiry I sent to them.

Great help with tummy issues
i love these bottles..!! I was sceptical at first but once i saw the improvement in my baby's tummy issues after trying them i decided to replace the rest of her bottles (we were using Pegion & Avent Natural).
My baby has a bit of reflux too. When we use dr brown bottles, she burps easily, less hiccups, less thrashing around, less spillage & no wet burps.
They are good for the middle of night feeding. I dont have to worry about burping her as there is less air in the bottle. She doesnt wake up from gas / discomfort. She was doing this previously.
We got them on special so the price was reasonable to other brands out there. I definitely recommend them.

Life-saver after bub refused other brand teats
Moved from breastfeeding to bottle when my daughter was 9 months old and returning to work. This is the only bottle that she would accept after a few anxious weeks! I had to trial and error the teats though, as I found them a little slower and used AR formula (which tends to be a little thicker and she suffered from reflux). Bottles were a lifesaver and wished that I had bought these from the start! Used wide-necked plastic bottles. Bottles rings needs to be tightly secured as they can leak otherwise, but this is a small price to pay. Woul...
Read mored not have been able to return to work on time if I didn't use these. Bottle/teat was accepted after bottle refusal of other brands, great for sufferers of wind/reflux Multiparts are more difficult to clean, expensive and harder to find stockists offlineGood for wind, biut bottles leak
Awesome bottle for wind and a guzzler baby and the teat is soft. After a month or so from the plastic lid the bottles leaked even if it was on super tight. We have no idea why. But still a good product. And still helps bring up wind a lot quicker and easier

My baby loves the teat!
After my usual Avent bottles were nowhere to be found in my local chemist, I went on a bit of a spree and bought a 3 pack of the Dr Browns Wide Neck Bottle on a whim, and they are excellent!
My baby has a very fussy nature and if he doesn't like the teat he won't drink until I get him his preferred teat... I was a bit concerned about this being new, and just forking out $65 for the bottles and level 2 teats they work a dream.
At first they leaked because I never read the instructions, you can only heat the bottle, not the blue internal tu...
Read morebe and seal and teat as otherwise gas explodes inside and milk will go everywhere. There are more parts in these bottles yet when you have a microwave steriliser it's easy. I use the Avent and the bottles fit in perfectly which was great. My baby doesn't have any wind or colic anyway so I never bought these for that purpose, yet he loves the teats - I just hate how it's almost impossible to see where you are filling up to, as the numbers are clear just like the bottle... impossible ! My baby loves the teat, pretty fancy looking bottle The measurements on the side are virtually impossible to seemichystar

Does Help
I've tried many bottles with my first child and now my second who is 10 weeks old. I wanted to try the Dr.Brown's wide neck to see if they would help with my babies wind and reflux. We have been using them for a couple of weeks now and they seem to be helping with his wind and it seems easier for him to drink his milk. I don't hear his stomach gurgle as much. Most times he is able to bring up his wind after his feed quite easily. He still gets wind of course and some reflux but that is to be expected. I also have him on Goats formula which help...
Read mores lessen the build up of wind in his tummy. Overall I would say if you're considering buying the bottles it's worth giving it a go, even buying maybe a couple and trying before you buy more. We got the pack with 3x 240ml and 2x120ml with one and two stage teets and bottle brushes for about $70. Improved my babies wind issues and allowed him to drink milk easier Expensive Option. Takes longer to clean bottles with all the bits and pieces. have to stir formula with spoon rather than shake the bottle.MummaStacePerth, WA

Really does reduce wind issues!
I first bought these bottles when my daughter was eight weeks old, we had been struggling with terrible wind/colic issues particularly in the evening and bought these bottles after reading the positive reviews on this website, and am soooo glad that we did. Her first feed using this bottle was at 6pm and coming up to her "nightmare hours" of not wanting to sleep, squirming and crying. I am not exaggering when I say that she fell asleep as soon as she finished her bottle and slept until 12pm that night. This never happened before we used the Dr ...
Read moreBrown bottles!! I was converted, obviously she still required burping but our wind problems pretty much disappeared. Now, the bad parts - these bottles leak after a bit of use. You can not put hot water in these bottles to cool while travellling unless you buy the specialised travel caps as the internal value sucks up the water and the bottle will leak (even when brand new) After five months of use the labelling has rubbed/washed off so you can no longer read the measurements. I now use the Avent gold bottles, but I still use the Dr Brown bottles for her night feed. While these bottles are a pain with the leaking (after constant use) I have not found any bottle that is superior in preventing wind or colic. Reduces colic and wind
My baby would cry for hours on end when a newborn, initially to a low milk supply and then due to pain in his tummy from wind. A friend of mine recommended the Dr Brown's bottles after experiencing the same thing with her baby. I must say, they must work in reducing the amount of air being consumed when bottle feeding as it settled my baby right down. Finally some relief for my son, as well as for us as parents.
I have used these bottles since my son was 6 weeks old and am still using them now that he is 6 months. Very happy with them, exce...
Read morept the only problem that I now find is after using them for a few months, they sometimes leak which is frustrating. They occasionally leak as I'm making and shaking up the bottle at the start, but often leak if you leave the finished bottle on the coffee table after a feed to tend to your baby for 30 mins or so for eg. When you come back to collect it, when you pick it up it can start leaking from when you pick it up and all the way to the kitchen. In saying this, I still think these bottles are great, and well worth using and the advantages far out way this little issue. I now place the finished bottle in the kitchen immediately or in a tied plastic bag if I'm out to avoid any spills or wetting any clothes in my nappy bag. Reduces colic and wind pain They start to leak after a few months of use. Takes a little longer to wash all the parts, however well worth using these bottlesdizzys

Good
Great bottle that seems to do the trick. My baby takes in less air meaning he has less pain. Even though the bottles take a little bit more to clean due to the bits and pieces, it is no extra hassle as long as it does its job! The teats are softer than other branded teats and the bottle shape makes it easy to hold. I wish I had known about these bottles from the start, would have saved me wasting my money on other bottles that claim to reduce colic but don't. These are the only bottles where I saw an improvement in my bub. They were no more exp...
Read moreensive than other branded bottles when purchased from the internet. They seem to actually do the job of reducing wind intake, unlike other bottles I had tried. Leaks a little when carried for travelling. You must make sure you keep the bottles upright when travelling at all times to prevent this. Would have given it 5 stars if there was no leaking.Questions & Answers

I buy them from babybottles.com.au and if you get the "Damaged" ones they have damaged boxes and are 100% fine inside and much cheaper. The delivery is fast also. I have purchased them a few times from this same website.

My son is 3 days old, in the hospital wer were using a different kind of bottle & he was feeding perfectly & I noticed no gas problems. Yesterday we got home & I started using the wide neck Dr B's range that I had bought, he is now struggling with wind his tummy is making wind noises as he feeds. What am I doing differently from everyone else? Coz everyone seems to be getting the opposite results. Now he refuses to feed he pushes the bottle with his tongue because he struggles with this bottle.

Just forget about the Dr Browns and go back to whatever you were using when he fed perfectly. As you said yourself - he fed perfectly and you noticed no gas problems. Can't fix what isn't broken!
