DO NOT BUY THIS PAINT. Its completely not appropriate for painting. Its too watery and even when you mix it stirring it for 1hr its still watery. You cant even apply the paint it just looks like cr^p. You'd need 30 coats to get a good coverage. I'm returning this to Bunnings tomorrow - its completely unacceptable for $250 for such bad paint.… Read more
Complete waste of time and money. I will NEVER buy Dulux again.
Fix your paint DULUX. Whatever you guys have done have totally ruined the paint and your reputation.
Worst paint that I ever used – Painted hallway and one wall in living room with one coat, it was patchy and rough when applied was hoping it would be better as it dried next morning it was even worse. Show details

Mixed brands – Hi we love dulux. But ran out of colour. Our nearest shop sells a diff brand. Will it work to apply top coat of this brand if I can get nearest colour? Show 2 replies
Happy – Looks good, nice sheen, covers well and guaranteed to last but like all dulux products, it definitely goes on better with a little bit of floetrol as without i found most of there wash and wear range thick and ropey. without floetrol it also has a tendency to use alot more litres compared to other company's premium ranges. Overall good product Show details

Terrible – Not happy with product quality at all.Chalky residue appears on walls after a couple of weeks of painting. Was told that the formula was changed due to this reason as we had similar problem years ago when we used this product. Don't waste your time or money on Dulux. Problem not rectified. Show details

Rubbish for Doors – We painted our internal doors with the Wash and Wear semi gloss. 2 months of drying time from the final coat. We hung the doors today and the paint has just peeled off in spots. Very disappointing with this product and now have to spend more $$ and time to fix the problem. Show details

Wish I'd seen the reviews to begin with – Spent four days painting my caravan, ended up hiring a painter to finish the job because I was just not happy with the result. Bought one coat of Dulux primer and three coats of wash and wear and still had areas that the paint would just peal off with just a little pressure. I've wasted time, money on pain and money on hiring a painter because of… Read more
the poor quality of this product. I wish there was a way to go back to how to used to be, would have been much better.

Formula change is rubbish impossible to get a good finish!!! – The new formula is like painting with rubber! It dries too quick. Leaves brush strokes. I think they have overdone if with the quest for "one coat and dry in 1 hour." there was nothing wrong with the old one. Please bring back the old one. Lambs wool applicator is completely unusable. You need a microfibre one to get passable results. Plus it… Read more
is low bonding so you need to prep a lot harder to get it to bond to the surface. So the intention of saving time has been penny wise but pound foolish.
How this passed any practical tests of the market and got on the shelves is beyond me.

Wash n wear... new formula – Ive been in the painting trade for 30 years and ive used all the brands over this time... I painted the walls of a laundry with this paint and I came back the next day and I had runs in the paint had to sand them out .the old formula would never do that. I spose I could get used to this but why bother ill go back to solver instead. Dulux seams to… Read more
cover ok (probly only due to the colour I was using) but the paint is very thin... looks like everyone else is having problems also...would of takin it bsck for a refund but time is money so I just did my best to make it work.

No problem – Time to repaint the bathroom. Puttied, sanded and undercoat all round. 2 water based finish coats easy to apply. Paint went on well, no streaking. Consistency was good no need to thin and thick enough to do the job, after a good mix. Paint is either good or its not, and so can't complain about this one. Haven't graded it as excellent as time will tell whether it lasts or not. I would buy it again. Show reply
not worth the money – I am a professional painter and I am totally unhappy with Dulux wash and wear. Would get the same finish If not better with Solver at half the price . Dulux is nothing else than a well promoted brand that does not live up to its reputation and price especially.

Terrible finish – We have always used Dulux Wash & Wear every time we have painted our house yet this time round we are struggling to get a good finish particularly with the semi gloss paint on our skirtings and doors. The paint is thin, dries very quickly and is leaving steaks. We have had to paint over three times to get a decent finish. The is very… Read more
frustrating and time consuming. I queried this with the Dulux store and was told we needed a better quality brush so I went out and purchased a very expensive brush only to get the same finish!
We are very unhappy and will not be purchasing Dulux ever again.
Terrible – Had my walls painted by professionals but the finish is terrible. A couple of weeks we painted I attempted to wipe a couple of small marks off the wall and now I have a shiny patches on the wall (and the marks didn't budge). Quite simply, it doesn't "wash and wear" well at all. Also, where the painters cut in around a sensor on my wall, we can… Read more
see a very obvious square of paint - the paint didn't blend in well after they used the cutting in tool. I watched them paint, and the painters applied the paint correctly, it's the paint that is at fault. I will need to repaint soon with a different brand. Don't use this!

Know better, choose better.
Too soon to comment – It has only been 2 months since using this product. So far it seems good......but I'll come back in a year, and then let you all know if I am still happy. It does smell a little, so use it in summer when you can have the windows open for a few days.....it is a small room after all. I also recommend not using the showers for about a week to make sure it cures fully.
Update - it has been 5 months now. I am very happy with the result. It is important to make sure… Read more
happy – I like the amount of shine not to much just right and a nice smooth finish which i feel the dulux low sheen standard paint lacks also had it tinted antique white USA apparently one of their most popular colors and I love it. It's a creamy white with no yellow.
easy to use – I have never used a semi gloss before and thought I would paint my bathroom using this, I just used the white and found it fine to use, I had to use two coats though and it dried quickly in between coats. A 2 litre tin did my small bathroom fine using the white like i did, its a pretty straight forward colour, it really lifted the appearance of my… Read more
bathroom and im happy with it. quite expensive at $65 for a 2 litre tin and it was just enough to do my small bathroom. it also leaves steaks if your not careful, i would probably use a low sheen if I were to use the kitchen and bathroom one again.
