Precision max adhesion water based undercoat does not stick
Painted a house full of doors and frames a year and half ago thoroughly sanding and following manufacturers directions and then coating with max adhesion and aqua enamel I am now redoing them because the paint is basically falling of in sheets. This is the first time this has happened in over 32 years of painting
Very Bad Product
We have 14 homes in our complex and all painted with Dulux Paints
Homes are aged between 3 & 4 years old but the paint on these homes has deteriorated after 2 years with some worse than others
After contacting Dulux they came and looked and said it was within specification.
So I asked for a % per year and not one person could tell me or have the decency to phone me back
Dulux advertise continually that they have a 10 year warranty but I can tell you it is worth nothing.
Stay away from their product
They have cheapened their can lids which are poor quality
I bought a 1 litre can of Dulux indoor white sealer/primer as I am repainting the bedroom.
The sealer is good quality BUT the cans they use are poor quality. you can only open the can using a paint can opener 2-3 times before the lid bends out of shape around the edges which means as I have used only about 15% of the sealer.. the can will no longer seal correctly as the tin lid is very cheap quality and is bent all around the lid. This is the last time I will buy dulux because of this. This never use to happen but guess they want to save $0.05 ...

Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer
Used this paint on laminate kitchen doors...sanded prior, washed VERY thoroughly with metho and left to dry. One coat of primer and looked good, felt nice and smooth...THEN came the topcoat - acrylic semi gloss - and bubbles are showing up - touched the surface to see if it was topcoat air bubbles - but its the primer lifting!!! Wth...let primer dry ALL night with heat and most of the next day...why i decided to try another overhyped dulux product is beyond me...almost as bad as their ceiling paint...
Theatre black- terrible experience
Bought Theatre Black paint from Dulux for my theatre room. With a kid it took us a few days to paint 3 quotes in one room. The slightest touch leaves marks and anything hits a little harder brings out white. We spent so much time and money on this product... left very disappointed :(
Don't get a Dulux Accredited Painter
Be aware that Dulux Accredited Painters are not accredited at all. These 'accredited' painters have to pay $1200 or so a year so that they can use the Dulux logo in their marketing.... and then charge more for their service. They are not better at all. I asked to see what this "accreditation" is all about and all I got is a business agreement. It is misleading to called them "accredited".
The real good painters to not need to ride on another company's logo to impress.
Many painters even use these logos without paying and it is really a dogs b...reakfast. Best to avoid them altogether. The worst bit is this: Dulux Accredited Painters go into agreement with Dulux to use more Dulux Paint, whether that is the best product to use or not for your situation, as happened to me. If later on the product fails and you have a dispute, Dulux will be on the Painter's side not yours - remember they are paying Dulux the $1200 a year for the privilege, so they sure want to get some back scratching back. These schemes should be investigated.
