Panels installed 2008. Failed & replaced 2011. Failed & replaced again 2017.

published

The performance of the system has been very good, with nearly zero hot water bill annually. No probs with the storage heater & pump or the technology. However the Dux 2AP absorber panel tubing corrodes & leaks internally - perhaps due to our proximity to the ocean & the essential breather vent in each panel. The cost option of changing brands is obviously prohibitive. Now replaced twice. As the panels cost upward of $800 each and re-installation is $500 per occasion, much of our energy bill saving has been eroded by poor quality components.

Date PurchasedJun 2008

Appalling, please do not subject yourself to this

Three failures in four years, two frost-release valves and a circuit board failure. Refusal by DUX to accept these as warranty items. Even when working the system demonstrates no material reduction in gas usage compared to our previous, very old and leaking standard gas hot water system. Please, Do yourself a favour, avoid Dux.

Nothing but trouble. RATE WORSE THAN TERRIBLE

Bought this unit in 2010. I have replaced thermostats, sensors, elements had wrong parts put in and been all at my own cost. Dux have never been helpful and their service is terrible. Worst acquisition I ever made. According to them the product's failing is my fault.
