Worst vaccuam ever

Doesn't vaccuam carpet properly, head keep getting stuck. Very expensive vaccuam and very poor performance. Spoken to dyson helpline and there services are the most worst experience I ever had. Show details

Shades behind my Dyson Origin which lasted yonks through 4 sons, cat and dog

carpet, wooden, tiles and vinyl. Changing tools for different surfaces is a pain when using at least twice a week.
I hate to be one of those but the whole machine does not appear as robust and people friendly as my original. Show details

Warranty and Customer Service…

I am just under 1mth shy of the 2yr standard Dyson warranty ending on my Cinetic Big Ball. It hasn’t been performing the best for a couple of months and I decided to call Dyson to see what advice I could get. The amazing/helpful and friendly ‘[Name Removed]’ explained to me their Return process of getting my Dyson back to their Service Centre (at NO cost to me). I asked so many questions and [Name Removed] answered every one.. It’s this kind of fabulous customer service that will keep me purchasing Dyson. I even have a spare DC39 (my workhorse) which I can use while the newer one is being looked at. I will update with the outcome. Fingers crossed it’s not serious. Well done [Name Removed]. Show details

Piece of Junk........Stay away from Dyson

Bought this Vacuum in 2019, paid top dollars however after approx 3 years of use, its motor has burnt out and warranty would not cover it (comes with 24 months warranty) either. I do not expect this to happen considering the amount i paid for this piece of junk. Even cheaper brands last longer than this.
Dyson might a good brand in the past......not anymore
Don't waste your money......stay away from Dyson

Exceeds expectations

The Dyson Big Ball Animal +, comes with many additional tools in order to get in to places other vacuums cannot. Such a relief to constantly see results in picking up a huge amount of dog hair on any surface, and dust. Highly recommend to anyone considering - especially those with pets in a large messy family!  Show details

Great suction but

This vacuum would be AWESOME IF it had a turbo powered head attachment!!! This would enable the user to thoroughly clean their carpeted floors, rugs, mats with ease. A self cleaning filter would be ideal as well.

Dyson doesn't live up to the hype

First few times I had no complaints using this unit on tiled and carpeted areas in my new home but then the suction was average. Sent back to Dyson twice for service only to be told there is no issues. I have persevered but I certainly wouldn't rush to purchase another Dyson ever. A simple task of vacuuming a rug becomes an issue where you have to go over several times to pick up fluff etc. Very disappointing Show details

Great not what i expected

I use my Dyson on both carpet and tiled floors. The only Fault I find is I need to change the heads for each floor but apart from that its a great vacuum. I have 2 dogs my Labrador sheds a lot of hair and unlike my past vacuum's it picks up the dog hair from my carpet with ease. I also purchased the dog hair head and use that on my carpet in the car, and the Ball does exactly what it says :it doesn't tip over. Fantastic product.  Show details

Over designed plastic junk

Way over priced plastic junk! Long hair tangles up regularly in the power head and it's a pain to remove the power head turbine to remove the hair, it's not just a simply case of sliding out the cylinder brush. The cinetic ball is a filthy contraption to use. Who could possibly think emptying a canister full of fine dust and hair into a plastic bag or straight into their bin is hygienically clean in any way possible. Paper vacuum bags all way for me with high end US brands such Oreck or Hoover.

Hard to clean when no filters to wash-bad smell

Bought this new 3 months ago have used it daily and empty it every second day after vacuuming as I vacuum three times a day with children. It is hard not to vacuum it's now pumping out a really bad smell of dirty feet and has not come into contact with anything that could cause it and I've now found out that there is no washable filter on this chemisty so if I can't get rid of this bad smell, I'm going to have to buy another vacuum but it definitely won't be a Dyson this time. Show details

Not happy

1. The dust bin's lid released open all of the contents as I disconnected from the unit. Happened twice! Massive mess to clean up. 2. The attachment adapter broke very early on in use. 3. It's short on suction power in general. 4. Dust bin gets clogged at the bottom in the narrowest part with the littlest debris, stopping the rotation of debris thus affecting its suction power. I have to empty out when its not even 'full' because of this blockage.
Poorly designed and manufactured. Not happy.  Show details

Multifloor cleaner ...Doesn't live up to its name

Not well designed or made as the wheels fell off after using on tiles as the shank that hold the wheel to the heavy body is pencil thin plastic with a single screw through it and of course the shank snaps in half and can't be fixed.
Might be ok for carpet over a long period but not good for going from carpet to hard floor as the wheels can't handle it.
My machine maybe 3 years old but for the near $600 paid I would expect a lot longer life than that. Show details

Not that great

We have 3 dogs and 2 children.

The pneumatic head doesn’t provide the rpm or power to pick up fluff and hair from carpet. It bogs down fair to easily.

On tiles it works well with the brush head

Our Dyson is 3 years old and has lost suction but this unit is sealed up so you can’t access the top of the cyclone area to see if it’s blocked.

Wouldn’t buy another at the price for the performance  Show details

Good but not great

We have had our Dyson for almost 6 years and it works like new. The suction, I find is quite good on both tiles and carpet as we have a dog and a toddler it gets very dirty.
We have never had and issues with it however I do find it to be very chunky and clunky so maneuverability isn’t great. I also think the brush head can get very tangled very easily with common things like hair or fur and is a pain to clean.
A good vacuum cleaner but not sure if I would by it again in hindsight  Show details

Does not clean carpet or tiles

We bought this vacuum cleaner 6 months ago from Harvey Norman and it is the worst vacuum cleaner that we have ever used. It doesn't vacuum hair from carpet, and doesn't pick up crumbs on tiled floors. The pneumatic head tool is useless and the dusting tool has no suction.
We have to constantly empty the vacuum cleaner to maintain any sort of consistent suction. The tools provided are horrendous.
We preferred our old Dyson, which lasted us for 10 years. We thought we'd be as pleased but are far from impressed. We would not recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone. It doesn't clean and is a waste of money.

Don't buy a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball

I bought this machine in November 20, thinking Dyson are the ducks nuts. Sooo wrong on this thought. The lever used to turn the machine on and off feels flimsy and brittle, I am really surprised it hasn't already broken. The attachments feel cheap and the machine was NOT cheap. The heads do not suck well as it sucks from the side not a straight down motion like a normal vacuum.
Once I save up AGAIN I am off to buy another machine probably a Miele, I will never buy another Dyson. Definitely not the best and extremely disappointed.

Awesome vacuum cleaner

Great suction, the absolute model comes with a whole lot of extra attachments, the ball rights itself if it rolls. Its emptying process is vastly improved in usability over the old DC39 we had. I'm finding I don't have to go over areas I've already done before just to get them clean. I judge a good appliance as one you look forward to using. This is definitely the case here, its a great vacuum. Show details

motor smells and makes popping sound, cost me $180 for repair to some internal filter that can't be accessed by user

I use this on tile, wood and carpet and alternate between the power head and hard floor tool,I purchased it nearly 4yo for around $700. It has had light use maybe fortnightly, the motor has just blown up and im taking it to dyson for a quote  Show details

The worst Dyson vaccum ever?

The bin unclips itself constantly after being secured and after you've spent a good hour vacuuming the house it dispenses it's load onto the floor without notice...so, you have to vacuum the mess up twice. This is one of the worst design flaws i have ever seen and i had exactly the same issue on a V6 stick vacuum too. will never buy a Dyson again after this! Show details

Fantastic suction but thats it

The vacuum cleaner cleans wooden floors reasonably well though I do have to go over it more than once. I have to constantly lift and replace the floor tool as it is difficult to turn. The floor tool and the hose and connections are bulky and difficult to use, all very unintuitive.
Even with holding the (less suction clip) the suction is so strong cleaning carpets it is a fight from beginning to end.
I have already had the dust bin replaced as the tiny clip that holds it shut didn’t work, the new dust bin still has difficulties not popping open when I remove it for emptying.
I have so disliked using it I’ve vacuumed far less than I normally do.
I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner. Show details

Dyson big ball pet vacuum issues

1. Hard ridges on handle irritates skin on hand.
2. Lifted container off suction body, small clip on container end not engaged, deposited container content on suction body and carpet.

Both IMO , design deficiencies.

Otherwise, does the job

Extremely disappointed

The Dyson Big Ball is an absolute disappointment. It’s hard to pull and constantly rolls over when going round corners. On the side of the head the two ends keep falling off with the slightest bit of hair or dust on it. The purple foam strip along the bottom of the head had totally come off. This has all happened in no more than 15 months of use. I’m so disappointed. All the hype about Dyson being a great brand. So disappointed. I’m getting in touch with our supplier to see what can be done, otherwise I have very expensive vacuum cleaner sitting in a wardrobe not being used.  Show details
