Disappointed with Dyson – When my machine stopped working, the customer service was terrible. The person kept trying to sell me a charger when that wasn't the problem. In the end, after half an hour on the phone, the inexperience person finally worked out it was the motor, but said they couldn't do anything as it was a product that they no longer service - but the product is not that old and I haven't used it much.

Purchased in for $600.

Hi Ying, thanks for taking the time to share your honest feedback about your experience. Dyson DC43H™ handheld vacuum first launched around 9 years ago. This machine is now a legacy model which can’t be serviced as the spare parts are no longer built, nor are available. Feel free to reach out to our experts to discuss your options, our contact details are listed here: external link

Powerful cordless and good for what it is designed for – A strong suction cordless vacuum. The battery life is pretty good and the motorised head is useful for cleaning. Only real downside is that it obviously doesn't give you the same flexi polity that you would get with a stick Dyson equivalent. Given the other Dyson sticks basically have the same functionality, you probably are better off getting one of those instead. That said, it does work fine. Would be nicer if you didn't have to always hold the trigger, but that's how all of the dyson's are built anyway..

It's so powerful – It was very handy and very powerful. My friend has another brand of vacuum that they bought from China. After comparing they reckon Dyson is very good. Though people might think this one is bit too weak, think about it's designed for mattress and it's compact already! I bought from Harvey Norman and it cost me only $198, so I top up other four years warranty with 30 dollars! 228 with 6 years global warranty!

Great mostly – Cleans nicely and is quite quiet. Works like magic on rugs and mattresses. It is quite easy to use and can reach normally inaccessible nooks and corners with ease. I would recommend it as a good buy to people who want a handheld vacuum cleaner for quick cleaning esp. for rugs and other small areas.

Wish I had bought the cheaper brand – From the beginning after being charged it would work for a few minutes then overheat and stop for 2-3 hours. After three days of this, phoned Dyson who said it needed a new battery......it was brand new. Phoned Harvey Norman who gave us a replacement. It works but is nothing special. It cost nearly double the price of others but apart from the salesmanship spiel about Dyson, it is very ordinary and I am disappointed.
