Do not buy
We have had this product for 4 months, all was well but now the exclamation mark inside a triangle on the display and the machine doesn't work. Piece of junk.
Purchased in July 2020 for A$900.00.

Not Worth The Money
I got into air purifiers during the bushfire season and thought an air purifier with a heat/cooling component would be good. But it's got some weird glitches to it and Dyson service/help desk is not what it used to be. After about a week you get an irrelevant reply cut and pasted from the manual that you've read already and then an email asking you to rate their service. Mine keeps showing the problem alert signal and is super noisy. I also get headaches and feel sick when it is turned up high - I think that it is overheating and there might be...Read more
flame retardant chemical in there that is toxic. It triggers its own VOC (volatile organic particle) emission alert when it has been on for more than a few hours and my power bill is apparently the same as an eight-person household - when there are two of us. Nothing has changed except this heater. Given that my last perfectly rational question to Dyson was met with a late, mealy-mouthed and patronizing response, I'm not wasting time approaching them again - I think they've been bought out by another company - I used to love them and any of their products automatically went on my 'want' list.Purchased in November 2019 at Harvey Norman for A$498.00.

Waste of money.
Does not deliver heat far enough. 2 seater sofa, 2nd person feels cool air, the person closest feels some heat. ( set at 37)
Bought last week & fan stable on a hard wood floor. Not satisfied. Waste of money.

Waste of money, absolutely tragic purchase
Worked well for about a month, then just refused to work again. I know it’s under warranty but seriously why do we have to pay almost a thousand dollars to have to chase our tails to get satisfaction. I will never buy another Dyson product. This one will be in the appliance graveyard.

Terrible airflow for a hugely expensive item
I eventually plucked up the courage to spend a crazy amount on the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool fan after the recent Bushfires.
I must say that I am REALLY disappointed with the product. It performs its core function of blowing air very poorly. Even on the top speeds of 8-10, the airflow is much worse than the $15 Target fan we were using before and which we have started using again. It does little to cool us down even though the unit is sitting at the foot of our bed. It will be of little or no use in a large family room. At the moment, it is an extre...Read more
mely overpriced air purifier. It does have excellent functions such as an app, air purifier, timer etc and is simple to use but I think that Dyson have focused too heavily on all the gimmicks and have forgotten about its core function, blowing air. We will be returning it this week.Purchased in February 2020.

As your machine functions as a purifier as well, you may find the fan strength is different to other fans (without purification). While Dyson d... Read more

I wish I'd bought a cheaper air purifier and a fan
I bought the latest model (v4 I think) for $899 from Harvey Norman in December 2019 to deal with bushfire smoke in Sydney. Beware: there are many paid reviews online.
Pros: seems to clean the air well inside our bedroom.
Cons (much of this is shaped by the cost of the machine):
Fan issues
- Fan does not work as well, and is significantly noisier than our $10-$30 pedestal fans at any speed above 2.
- Even at 10, the fan is about as strong as our pedestal fans on low.
- Separately, the machine intermittently makes a high pitched grinding / whirring noise. Turning it off at the power point usually gets rid of it, but then it returns in a day or so.

have worked with our third party supplier to rectify this. Inside your home, The Pure Hot+Cool machine won't be able to provide you an AQI, however will report on the amount of PM2.5 particles and PM10 particles in the air.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Absolute False Advertising
To pay $500 for an item that calls itself hot + cool when it does not cool at all is a joke
I have the worlds most expensive fan...
The heater settings work fine, but this item DOES NOT COOL...it is just a glorified fan....

you similar to a normal fan using the wind chill effect. While it won't cool the room, it will provide personal cooling as a fan in summer. That being said, if an air conditioner is in the room, the Pure Hot+Cool Link can help move the already cooled air around the room more effectively.Similar opinion? Just bought the HP04. How do you know that the purifier is active/on?

When your machine is in auto mode, the fan speed will be shown as dimmed when the machine is monitoring the room, and will be more prominent when actively purifying the air.

Hi,
Just wondering to use the appropiate term Fan vs Cooling based on the performance in hot summer. Does it really cool the room though its not a Air Conditioner?

DysonDyson
To confirm, the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool can function as a heater, however doesn't function as an air conditioner as it doesn't work on refrigerants or the like. The "cool" refers to it's ability to function as a fan to cool you in summer using the wind chill effect.

Thanks for the clarification. Make sense of using term Cool
