Untrustworthy repair process. Has broken down within 2 months
So my machine stopped working properly within 2 months of purchasing and the barrel clip kept coming off and the dirt would come out of the barrel. So I sent it off to repairs and asked for the repair team to contact to discuss the issues before fixing. Funny enough no one called me and they have gone ahead and replaced the motor and the barrel without even consulting me and it’s on its way back to me. I called and spoke to the supervisor [Name Removed] who told me that they replaced the motor and barrel due to the machine being blocked which h...as caused the motor to failure. This being due to my lack of maintenance apparently. Their website clearly states this wouldn’t be covered under warranty. I would consider a motor replacement a major failure in the machine which would make me entitled to a replacement or refund of the machine. For some reason Dyson dont want to be held accountable for this and have made it clear it’s not their problem because I didn’t buy it directly from them and want me to bring it up with bing lee?? I don’t see how this fair. Don’t buy it waste of money

Overpriced and poor quality
Had the V11 Outsize Pro for just under a year and now that it's broken for the second time thought i'd write a review. Completely overpriced and sub-par performance. My V6 was a better vacuum, notwithstanding the battery. Battery on this thing is great. Biggest issue, apart from it breaking twice in 12 months is that it doesn't vacuum well at all backwards with the outsize head and the other heads are standard size, defeating the entire purpose of it being outsize. This is our second Dyson. The first broke 3 times in 18 months and this one has ...now broken twice in 11 months. First time the outsize head broke, and now the pipe connection has broken. So no vacuum for 2 weeks the first time and now another wait for parts. Not good enough for a $1250 vacuum

Don’t waste your money
• I’ve been using it since about October 2020 (lucky I purchased extended warranty, but the product has failed before then...(won’t be buying a dyson stick vacuum again)
• quite heavy being the outsize version and remember that you have to hold the trigger down to use the vacuum, as soon as you let go it turns off...this can be quite strenuous on your hand especially for anyone who has any sort of pain in their hand, arthritis or for the elderly...you could use your body weight to push it along carpet but still that’s not very practical
• out...size version isn’t really necessary...if you really want one of these just get the normal size as it’s less heavier and I highly doubt will get full after vacuuming the house • does not come with a hose attachment so cleaning areas like behind computer tables, hard to reach areas etc is pretty much impossible...a non branded hose kit can be purchased off ebay for around $40 which seems to be of good quality, but keeping your finger on the triggger and with your other hand guiding the hose/nozzle can be annoying too • not bad for the car but not the best either, a vacuum which has a hose is much more preferable and easier to use as again the car has a lot of hard to reach places and this vaccum isn’t suited well for that use

Does what its meant to do
Have been using Dyson (V8) for a while. This is way more powerful. Quicker cleaning time. Less bin emptying runs.
Have multiple rooms with thick carpet and a large vinyl floor. Have 2 large Goldens and 2 kids.
Only question ? Mine didn't come with the extra Battery Pack ? I got it from Goodguys.
Purchased in February 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,297.00.
I had read negative reviews about the Outsize’s weight which as a woman of 67, had me concerned. Happily it is not a problem. The floor takes most of the weight and instead of pushing with my arm alone as with old style vacuums I use my body to push and occasionally guide with my other hand. The floor area in the house is large so the bigger bin is great. Emptying it two, even three times is easy (and kinda fun). The wider head reduces cleaning time by a third as does not having to stop and plug in a barrel multiple times. Using tools might ye...t prove to be where weight becomes apparent as the bin canister and battery end is the heavy part of the machine - but I don’t care as I’m loving the rest so much. Suction and ease of use are incredible! It adjusts to moving between hardwood floors and hand made rugs without damaging either though I do avoid rug fringes as always. I’ve gone from hating vacuuming to looking for an excuse to do it. I’d highly recommend this machine.

The Vaccum itself is great but the heaviness of the stick is ridiculous! I have to take multiple breaks because my wrist hurts from the use. You don’t feel this as much on hardwood floors or tiles (still heavy though) but once you take it out on the carpet - the stick just gets almost impossible to use comfortably.
This is my first Dyson purchase and I’m extremely disappointed as I did my research and finally invested in one and it is sadly nowhere near the expectations in terms of ease of use.

Awful costumer service
Ordered on 30.12.2020 from dyson.com.au .May be I had some misunderstanding of dispatching time , but after a full week , I called and the person said it's still not shipped . Then I asked to cancel the order and refund me ,so I can take it from other shop . Been transferred to a supervisor . She claimed divergent from the previous person , saying it is shipped . I could not find the logic of such a different information , right after I asked a refund . Anyway , in a very arrogant way , and extremely unacceptable manner , this person kept sayi...ng , I have to wait until the delivery is a fact , but she could not point any specific period for it . Then I need to organise the full shipping back and only then they can consider refund . It sound so wrong to me , and kind of twisting arms .I'm not sure how legal is , but definitely not moral , professional and not approach for such a name like DYSON . Extreme disappointed , still waiting for a future delivery ,while my warranty is already active since 30 of December , but would never consider to buy nothing else from this site . Strongly recommend you to do it somewhere else !

A Weapon- Phenomenal!
Upgraded from the V10 to the V11. The V11 has somehow managed to pull out a canister worth of dust/dirt from carpets that were just completed with the V10 earlier that day! The suction is something else. The battery life is 10/10. Yes it is larger than a V10 but we do our home in half the time now because of the bigger footprint. Its a tad heavier but nothing to write about. I wouldn't go back to a V10 now.. massive upgrade.
Upgraded but Disappointed
I upgraded from a V6 that we have loved.
Pros : Vacuum time - barrel cleaning - attachments - Auto floors - AI on battery and usage times - quieter
Cons : really heavy that it hurts vacuuming on plush carpet on Auto - heads too wide for practical daily use - no mattress attachment as standard - bulkier storage
AND it has made me invest $50
on attachments for the V6
This is a lot of money and it is really disappointing as I have loved our Dyson V6 and our old Handheld. I am really concerned this will end up in the cupboard like our barrel vacuum and wish we got the V10 that was way cheaper but more practical

Suction is amazing! However comes at a cost
I’ve recently purchased the Dyson V11 Outsize, and have been very impressed by its power, suction and other features.
However one thing that pains me (quiet literally) is the weight of the stick. After a one time use in our 3 bedroom home (couldn’t even manage to do the living room and kitchen due to the weight), I was left with extreme back pain.
I find the weight distribution to be uneven, and that it’s very heavy. Adding to that is the immense pressure pushing against our plush carpet with such a heavy stick. It’s tiring and painful.
I’...ve paid the price I have for this machine for ease of use and accessibility, but I’m now in so much pain after vacuuming the night prior that I’m worried I will develop back problems over a period of use. I’m now questioning my purchase, and have emailed Dyson with the hopes of a solution.

Dyson should've stuck with old design - developed Tennis elbow using the V11
I'm a professional house cleaner, and usually use either a Dyson V6 or V8 (V8 is my favourite). Then my clients purchased the V11 Outsize to use in their house- what a mistake. At first I was impressed by the V11's suction; ability to choose from 3 different modes of suction (Eco - Boost), as well as being quieter than previous models.
HOWEVER, the design means that it's unfortunately way too heavy when trying to vacuum a standard 4 bedroom house. (To be fair, it's not so bad on hard floors, but trying to vacuum my client's plush carpets ...felt like pushing through concrete.) It doesn't feel balanced properly (Most likely due to the excessive weight of the huge drum), and places too much weight in the wrong places - meaning I developed Tennis elbow after only using the machine for less than a month (Weekly use), which I'm still receiving treatment for. Don't think this Machine is worth paying over $1000 when it's poor design causes injuries. I'll stick with my V8.

Torque Head died after 7 days and poor customer support!
Firstly, the good points. When it works, it is very impressive and picks up a lot of dirt even after other vacuum cleaner has just been used. Battery life for the whole larger sized house is just enough, as long as you don't also use Turbo mode.
Now the bad points, and there are a few:
1. After using it throughout the whole house, it is definitely a heavy unit to lug around.
2. The heaviness is not helped by the fact that you need to keep holding the button down to operate it, there is no lock on it.
3. More importantly, the Outsize Torque He...

Too heavy for me to use
Bought the V11 Outsize recently as we have just done a second story addition to our house (fully carpeted) and I thought it would be great to use upstairs & on the stairs save taking my Dyson Animal Barrel Vac (which I love) up the stairs. I also wanted it for the mini soft dusting brush to clean the venetian blinds. I have always wanted a Dyson Stick Vacuum, as I have a few friends with them that love them (who warned me to get a bigger one as the battery runs out too quickly on the earlier models) . However being unable to test drive it in a...shop due to COVID I was unaware it was so heavy and that I would struggle to use it. Also the trigger operation - doesn't stay on unless pressed constantly and I find this coupled with the weight of the machine very difficult to use. Also removing the machine off the holder, I always press the trigger as well, as you need to get a good grip on it to get it off the holder. I cannot use it for the venetian blinds as its too heavy to hold in the position to clean especially above my head. The vacuum does suck well and is good on both timber & carpet but the head needs to be changed to use on both surfaces. I would recommend you try this machine before you buy it.

love it only had it a day
We have a 2 storey house, 4 dogs, the lounge, study and 3 bedrooms are carpet the Family room, kitchen/dining area and toilet, bathroom are tiles, I was able to vacuum the whole house and the barrel wasn't even full, it's a quieter machine than the V8 absolute that I had, I fully recommend the Dysonv11 outsize

I was a little skeptical, but my experience has made me a believer
I recently moved into a one bedroom apartment. The place had been "professionally cleaned" before I moved in so I didn't think it needed much attention. I wanted a vacuum cleaner to keep the place clean but didn't want a big and bulky machine. I was looking in JB HiFi at various stick vacuums and the differences between the Dyson V7 and the V11 Outsize. I was initially hesitant at the bin size and the motor size of the V11 and the higher cost, but looking at the features and how much more power and function it had, I went with the V11 Outsize. ...How my initial fears and hesitations were blown away within my first session! I have carpet in the bedroom, but hard flooring throughout the rest of the apartment. After charging the machine initially, I went through the apartment with the power head attachment just to get a feel of the machine. The wider motor head makes covering floor space a breeze, and near the connection with a stick tubing is an ingenious articulating bit which allows the power head to move and rotate really easily with the turn of your wrist. The power head picked up SO much dust and dirt! I was shocked as the place had a professional clean and the carpets had been cleaned as well (or so I was told). The powerful motor has such an ability to deep clean carpet without losing suction and it wasn't an effort to push along the carpet. I'm 6 foot tall as well and just felt this machine was nicely sized and didn't feel like I was straining my back bending over like I have using other vacuum cleaners. I followed with using the fluffy head cleaner and that picked up so much fine fluff and I don't think I really needed to use this after using the power head through the apartment but I was mesmerised with how fun it was/is to use the machine. All in all for 60sqm took me about 25 minutes (I was going slow just to have fun with the machine) and the results was half the bin full of fluff and dirt (see first picture). The battery went down to 60% with that 25 mins. It just boggled my mind as I'm a clean tidy person and didn't think there'd be much to pick up within 1 week of moving into a clean apartment. Emptying the bin is very easy - a bit like using a trombone. The clever thing as well is if there's dirt/fluff stuck on the stainless mesh higher up, the end of the bin brushes it down and out with the rest of the muck so you don't have to reach in and up to clean the stuff off. I really like this little touch. Closing is just to lift the trombone type slider back up and close the bin hatch.

Questions & Answers
We have just purchased the V11 outsize and find the dust head pulls firmly to the right when vacuuming, we cannot understand why it is doing this even on ECO mode.
This is certainly not to be expected. We would encourage checking the wheels underneath the floor tool and ensuring all the wheels are clear of debris and spin freely.

There have been several occasions when I've gone to start the Dyson and the High Torque XL cleaner head's rotating brush bar hasn't spun up. The vacuum works, but the roller just isn't spinning. If I then release the trigger, the next squeeze of the trigger will fix it. I don't know if this is a fault or some odd idiosyncrasy that affects them all?
Sometimes when pulling the trigger, the brushbar may take a second or two to turn on, however should certainly turn on every time the trigger is pulled within a few seconds.
