Don’t waste your money
• I’ve been using it since about October 2020 (lucky I purchased extended warranty, but the product has failed before then...(won’t be buying a dyson stick vacuum again)
• quite heavy being the outsize version and remember that you have to hold the trigger down to use the vacuum, as soon as you let go it turns off...this can be quite strenuous on your hand especially for anyone who has any sort of pain in their hand, arthritis or for the elderly...you could use your body weight to push it along carpet but still that’s not very practical
• out...size version isn’t really necessary...if you really want one of these just get the normal size as it’s less heavier and I highly doubt will get full after vacuuming the house • does not come with a hose attachment so cleaning areas like behind computer tables, hard to reach areas etc is pretty much impossible...a non branded hose kit can be purchased off ebay for around $40 which seems to be of good quality, but keeping your finger on the triggger and with your other hand guiding the hose/nozzle can be annoying too • not bad for the car but not the best either, a vacuum which has a hose is much more preferable and easier to use as again the car has a lot of hard to reach places and this vaccum isn’t suited well for that use

It is not bad
I am a long term Dyson user. The v11 is much more powerful and it is a very efficient cleaning soloution.
My only concern of the products is washing. There are smell everytime after wash. I would give it a 4 stars.
Purchased for $1,329.00.
Does what its meant to do
Have been using Dyson (V8) for a while. This is way more powerful. Quicker cleaning time. Less bin emptying runs.
Have multiple rooms with thick carpet and a large vinyl floor. Have 2 large Goldens and 2 kids.
Only question ? Mine didn't come with the extra Battery Pack ? I got it from Goodguys.
Purchased in February 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,297.00.
Great for carpet and laminate flooring, absolute rubbish for wooden floors
Great for cleaning carpets and laminate/vynil flooring. Absolute rubbish for wooden floors. Left scratches and scuff marks everywhere in my engineered floor. Plush strips wear out without spare parts other than buying a complete new head. Never buying Dyson again.
Purchased in July 2020 at JB Hi-Fi for $1,200.00.
The Vaccum itself is great but the heaviness of the stick is ridiculous! I have to take multiple breaks because my wrist hurts from the use. You don’t feel this as much on hardwood floors or tiles (still heavy though) but once you take it out on the carpet - the stick just gets almost impossible to use comfortably.
This is my first Dyson purchase and I’m extremely disappointed as I did my research and finally invested in one and it is sadly nowhere near the expectations in terms of ease of use.
Purchased in December 2020 at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $1,299.00.
love it only had it a day
We have a 2 storey house, 4 dogs, the lounge, study and 3 bedrooms are carpet the Family room, kitchen/dining area and toilet, bathroom are tiles, I was able to vacuum the whole house and the barrel wasn't even full, it's a quieter machine than the V8 absolute that I had, I fully recommend the Dysonv11 outsize
Purchased in September 2020 at Costco VIC, Docklands for $1,239.99.
Very disappointing Would not recommend
I purchased the dysonv11 outsize in early April it worked well for 2 months and then I started to notice when I pulled on the trigger it wouldn’t always start straight away I perservered with it and it stopped working completely at the start of July after owning it for under 3months I rang Dyson and non of the troubleshooting worked I was informed that to have it fixed ASAP I should take it for a 2 hour drive to Mount Waverley which I did I still have no vaccum I have rung Dyson and the lady on the phone was lovely but has no answers to when my less than 3 month old vaccum will be fixed so after 3 weeks I am unable to vaccum my home

- V11 Outsize
When the missus bought her parents a Dyson V7 i told her she was mad for spending $500 on a vacuum cleaner... I used it once and went straight to Harvey Norman and purchased a V11. This thing is a beast, i have never seen anything pick up cat hair like this beauty does. The bigger bin and the interchangeable battery (optional extra) make the Dyson V11 Outsize Pro unbeatable in my eyes.

Best dyson so far
Brought for $1275 from the goodguys and haven't looked back, this is the best dyson by far, I have had several dyson over the years. Upgrades from a dc23 corded vacuum and the first time we used the v11 it had picked up dirt that our old dyson had left behind. Got to admit it was a big outlay to purchase but it's looking like it's worth it.

This machine is a beast.
With 3 little boys and a dog - our house is always a mess. I am constantly cleaning food crumbs and dog fur. My 3 year old is messier than the cookie monster and the dog fur is so difficult to keep on top of. I have been managing on my beloved DC35 Dyson stick vacuum, now 9 years old.
In need of a new more powerful vacuum cleaner, I was looking for something more agile than an upright, something quiet, compact, powerful and fast.
I invested in the V11 Outsize and have not looked back. This machine is a beast. It is powerful, you can see it s...ucking the dirt from all around, it is light to use on the stairs and I can store it in our tiny entry cupboard by storing the wand and the drum separately. It is also has a new feature that makes it super easy to remove any long hairs that have become wrapped around the spinning head. The wider head also means you can cover more floor area in less time. With the power of an upright vacuum cleaner, I can whip around our house in 15 minutes and have a result that feels like a deep clean. This could may well mean we no longer will need to invest in a weekly cleaner.

I am in love with the Dyson v11 Outsize! A quality product which makes cleaning so much easier.
The Dyson v11 Outsize arrived just in the nick of time! I had moved house and couldn’t find the charger for my old vacuum cleaner in the myriad of boxes around me and I was slowly becoming overcome with dust and dog fur which my broom couldn’t gather as it seemed to drift up and away from me rather than in the dustpan.
I have never owned a Dyson vacuum before, but my previous vacuums were not exactly cheap and I had paid between $400 - $800 over the years for various brands with various success. My current vacuum was a VAX upright cordless 20...V VX7 which I purchased in 2015 for $449. Aesthetically, the Dyson v11 is beautiful. The red colour finish wouldn’t look out of place on a red ferrari. There are quite a few parts in the box and the unit and accessories are well packaged within recyclable cardboard. The Dyson v11 comes pre charged at 20% and needs to be charged fully before use. This took a few hours and I kept checking as I was excited to put it through its paces. The LCD screen shows the amount of charge the vacuum has left (see photo) and there is also a blinking blue light on the handle which turns to a steady blue light once the unit is charged. Once the unit was charged, I started vacuuming my hardwood floor which had previously been vacuumed by my floor robot ‘Cherry’. I was astonished at the fist full of fur that was picked up by the Dyson when I thought the floors were relatively clean (see photo). The vacuum was very easy to assemble, however, I did wish there was a manual included and more instructions for the different heads and attachments. A small pamphlet was included with a link to the website which led me to a page that didn’t help with the setup or included tools. However, this is a minor inconvenience though as googling “how to use Dyson vacuum tools” will help you figure out what the different attachments can do and googling for the manual will help you find it to figure out how to clean and use the device correctly. I noticed that my long hair does not get tangled in the rollers on the turbo brush attachment. Every vacuum I have ever owned including my old vacuum and my current robot vacuum always tangles my long hair around the roller and I have to cut it away when cleaning the roller to ensure that the vacuums suction isn’t affected. The Dyson suctions my hair straight to the canister without tangling around the roller!
The Dyson V11 Outsize impresses immediately for several reasons as soon as it is out of the box, unpacked and assembled.
The first is the ingenious environmentally friendly packaging protection for the individual pieces which I can only describe as very practical cardboard origami. An example of one piece is in the photo which I couldn't resist including.
Secondly, the sturdy well-built quality and innovative design I have come to know from previous Dyson products that I have owned is obvious, where the high-quality plastic construction is ...clear evidence of the built to last philosophy. Thirdly, the comprehensive array of tools to cater for any task to be asked of a vacuum, stick or otherwise. Once put to use, the power of the V11 combined with the flexibility of individual cleaner heads and tools assures performance second to none. The High Torque XL cleaner head not only automatically adjusts power to suit any floor type, but also features 2 adjustable (3 position) vents so that suction can be varied closing vents to deep clean carpets and opening when less suction is required on hard floors. There are also 3 power modes determining power and associated battery run time which are easily selected using a single button. The modes in increasing power order are Eco, Auto and Boost.
Fantastic vacuum cleaner, very convenient, long charge at full power
I was sent a Dyson V11 outsize to use and review, as part of the Ambassador Program.
I can’t tell you how excited this made me as for the last year or two, I have been considering buying a Dyson cordless to use in my family room, so to get the latest version has been like hitting the jackpot.
And I haven’t been disappointed.
When I looked these up online, I saw one retailer had them at $1299. For this price, you would expect good performance and the machine has not let me down. But like most things you buy, it isn’t absolutely perfect, so I h...

As somebody who seems to be far too good at tripping over cords or yanking them out of the wall at the worst time, the Dyson V11 has been a welcome surprise. As somebody who also has lots of fluff and long hair lying around, the Dyson V11 hasn't improved my mood very much. The very short version of my review is as follows: the V11 Outsize is great for regular quick and smaller vacuuming jobs but it's not the best if you have lots of very dusty, dirty, and hairy vacuuming to take care of, and especially not if it's on uneven hard floors. Now for...the long version... Having used portable battery-powered stick-vacuums at friends' houses, getting one of my own was a relief. My house is quite small but I have lots of things in awkward places and my ancient-but-trusty bag vacuum keeps getting stuck on things or the cord will wrap around something expensive and pull it over whenever I need to venture into far corners. With the V11 Outsize I can now leap around like a twit and not level the contents of my house in the process. I mostly have hard wood floors, some kinda lumpy tiled floors, and rugs to hide them all. The V11 is not a weakling by any stretch! One rug in particular must be vacuumed on the 'Eco' setting otherwise the V11 lifts the rug off the ground unless my full weight is behind it (and I'm quite tall). What did disappoint me though is with all that suction power, some objects on hard floors just won't go up the tube. I spent over 5 minutes trying to vacuum up a single piece of popcorn but the recalcitrant oversized crumb would not yield. If it wasn't blown away by air coming out of the vacuum head, it would get stuck inside the head and pretend to disappear only to reappear when I moved to a new section of floor. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but my old (corded) vacuum won't let anything survive whereas the V11 seemed to have trouble taking up objects that weren't already very small. For example, a puffy ball of dryer lint wouldn't go under the head - instead it would be blown a few centimetres away. A coffee bean - it simply wouldn't fit under the front of the vacuum head without me lifting the whole unit up and placing it on top, but then sometimes it would blow the bean away first. A plastic bread bag clip - nope! A toothpick - NUH! These are all items my huge corded vacuum willingly eats that the V11 Outsize couldn't sink its teeth into at all, or not without lots of fuss. As for rugs, it does a brilliant job on those - really really good. Because my house isn't a mansion, I could vacuum all the rugs and floors three times before having to recharge the battery. If you need to tackle a large house with lots and lots of thick carpets, I doubt you'd get through it on one charge. With that said, if you (like me) don't treat housework as a marathon event that must be finished all in one go, the V11 is perfect for working on a small section of the house at a time. I definitely use it more than my old vacuum cleaner simply because I can grab it and walk anywhere in the house without having to perform tantric yoga to reach a spare power plug.

Questions & Answers
I bought my Dyson V11 outsize 6 months ago, have not had an issue with it until a few weeks ago. It will not differentiate carpet to floor boards and is sucking at carpet power mode and obviously draining the battery so much quicker. Any tips on how to fix it?
Hi check the little screen on top it should say Auto and the bottom pad and roller should be clean .Hopefully it works
The Dyson V11 Outsize needs to be in Auto mode, with the Torque Drive Cleaner Head attached for the machine to change automatically between hard floors and carpets.
If the machine is in Boost or Eco modes, you are using another floor tool, the machine won't automatically change.
If you continue to experience difficulties, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Dyson Experts, you can find ways of getting in touch here: https://www.dyson.com.au/support/contact-us
Yes I always have the machine in auto mode and the Torque Drive Cleaner is always attached.
My Dyson outsize works, however, the 2nd battery says charged and when I put it in nothing happens.
So we can get this sorted for you, we would kindly ask you to give our Dyson Experts a call on 1800 239 766 with your machine handy. Our helpline is open Monday - Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday - Sunday 8:30am - 4pm AEST.

We look forward to hearing from you and assisting.
We have just purchased the V11 outsize and find the dust head pulls firmly to the right when vacuuming, we cannot understand why it is doing this even on ECO mode.
This is certainly not to be expected. We would encourage checking the wheels underneath the floor tool and ensuring all the wheels are clear of debris and spin freely.
If so and this continues, please give our Dyson Experts a call on 1800 239 766 with your machine handy at your convenience.
