Love the V11 Outsize. I have carpet, tiles and hardwood floors. Does a fantastic job on all surfaces. Love how portable it is and easy to empty the waste container.
Purchased in December 2020 for $1,400.00.
Fabulous piece of equipment.
Fabulous piece of equipment. Excellent suction power. Picks up our ragdoll's cat hair effortlessly on carpet. Excellent on all surfaces. Love the hardwood floor and stairs attachment. Overall a great product.
King with no cloths
The worst vacuum cleaner
Blocks all the time. If it’s the filter then you need to wash it and wait 24 hrs
Only last 7 mins on full
Doesn’t actually pick up well
Purchased in July 2020 for $1,200.00.
Does what its meant to do
Have been using Dyson (V8) for a while. This is way more powerful. Quicker cleaning time. Less bin emptying runs.
Have multiple rooms with thick carpet and a large vinyl floor. Have 2 large Goldens and 2 kids.
Only question ? Mine didn't come with the extra Battery Pack ? I got it from Goodguys.
Purchased in February 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,297.00.
love it only had it a day
We have a 2 storey house, 4 dogs, the lounge, study and 3 bedrooms are carpet the Family room, kitchen/dining area and toilet, bathroom are tiles, I was able to vacuum the whole house and the barrel wasn't even full, it's a quieter machine than the V8 absolute that I had, I fully recommend the Dysonv11 outsize

- V11 Outsize
When the missus bought her parents a Dyson V7 i told her she was mad for spending $500 on a vacuum cleaner... I used it once and went straight to Harvey Norman and purchased a V11. This thing is a beast, i have never seen anything pick up cat hair like this beauty does. The bigger bin and the interchangeable battery (optional extra) make the Dyson V11 Outsize Pro unbeatable in my eyes.
Purchased in April 2020 at Harvey Norman for $1,299.00.
This machine is a beast.
With 3 little boys and a dog - our house is always a mess. I am constantly cleaning food crumbs and dog fur. My 3 year old is messier than the cookie monster and the dog fur is so difficult to keep on top of. I have been managing on my beloved DC35 Dyson stick vacuum, now 9 years old.
In need of a new more powerful vacuum cleaner, I was looking for something more agile than an upright, something quiet, compact, powerful and fast.
I invested in the V11 Outsize and have not looked back. This machine is a beast. It is powerful, you can see it s...ucking the dirt from all around, it is light to use on the stairs and I can store it in our tiny entry cupboard by storing the wand and the drum separately. It is also has a new feature that makes it super easy to remove any long hairs that have become wrapped around the spinning head. The wider head also means you can cover more floor area in less time. With the power of an upright vacuum cleaner, I can whip around our house in 15 minutes and have a result that feels like a deep clean. This could may well mean we no longer will need to invest in a weekly cleaner.

I am in love with the Dyson v11 Outsize! A quality product which makes cleaning so much easier.
The Dyson v11 Outsize arrived just in the nick of time! I had moved house and couldn’t find the charger for my old vacuum cleaner in the myriad of boxes around me and I was slowly becoming overcome with dust and dog fur which my broom couldn’t gather as it seemed to drift up and away from me rather than in the dustpan.
I have never owned a Dyson vacuum before, but my previous vacuums were not exactly cheap and I had paid between $400 - $800 over the years for various brands with various success. My current vacuum was a VAX upright cordless 20...V VX7 which I purchased in 2015 for $449. Aesthetically, the Dyson v11 is beautiful. The red colour finish wouldn’t look out of place on a red ferrari. There are quite a few parts in the box and the unit and accessories are well packaged within recyclable cardboard. The Dyson v11 comes pre charged at 20% and needs to be charged fully before use. This took a few hours and I kept checking as I was excited to put it through its paces. The LCD screen shows the amount of charge the vacuum has left (see photo) and there is also a blinking blue light on the handle which turns to a steady blue light once the unit is charged. Once the unit was charged, I started vacuuming my hardwood floor which had previously been vacuumed by my floor robot ‘Cherry’. I was astonished at the fist full of fur that was picked up by the Dyson when I thought the floors were relatively clean (see photo). The vacuum was very easy to assemble, however, I did wish there was a manual included and more instructions for the different heads and attachments. A small pamphlet was included with a link to the website which led me to a page that didn’t help with the setup or included tools. However, this is a minor inconvenience though as googling “how to use Dyson vacuum tools” will help you figure out what the different attachments can do and googling for the manual will help you find it to figure out how to clean and use the device correctly. I noticed that my long hair does not get tangled in the rollers on the turbo brush attachment. Every vacuum I have ever owned including my old vacuum and my current robot vacuum always tangles my long hair around the roller and I have to cut it away when cleaning the roller to ensure that the vacuums suction isn’t affected. The Dyson suctions my hair straight to the canister without tangling around the roller!
Fantastic vacuum cleaner, very convenient, long charge at full power
I was sent a Dyson V11 outsize to use and review, as part of the Ambassador Program.
I can’t tell you how excited this made me as for the last year or two, I have been considering buying a Dyson cordless to use in my family room, so to get the latest version has been like hitting the jackpot.
And I haven’t been disappointed.
When I looked these up online, I saw one retailer had them at $1299. For this price, you would expect good performance and the machine has not let me down. But like most things you buy, it isn’t absolutely perfect, so I h...

I have carpet, vinyl and tiles
First thing I noticed was the lack of a manual, until I discovered that one could download it.
The packaging was very good and was surprised by all the attachments that came with it.
It is a great vacuum cleaner, and for my home, the battery lasts long enough to do my whole house. My problem is possibly age-related, but I did find that when using the attachments, it is too heavy and hard to manoeuvre in tight spaces. There is no way I would even attempt to use it for anything overhead.
Also, possibly because I...

We’ve had 2 vacuum cleaners for a while now; a Dyson v6 slim for the small jobs and a Vacuum-Maid for the full house clean. The hope was our new Dyson v11 Outsize would be good enough to do both jobs and replace them. After using the Outsize for a month ... we reckon it can; but with a few conditions.
Firstly, did the Outsize have as much suction as our Vacuum-Maid which is a ducted system with a powerful motor and dust collection bin located in the garage? We’d say yes to that. Not scientifically compared but the Outsize had extremely powerfu...l suction and cleaned just as thoroughly. It had a couple of advantages over the vacuumaid too. We didn’t have to drag the 8m hose behind us, grinding it against our newly painted skirting boards around corners, then plugging and unplugging into different outlets around the house. The Dyson is cordless! It’s the main reason we selected it to replace what we have. Sooo much easier to vacuum the house cordless/hoselessly. The 25% larger head also makes a big difference; less sweeps to complete the same job than with the smaller head of our old vacuum ( and of other Dysons). Our 4 bedroom, office, 3 living area house ( big but not massive ) was vacuumed with the Dyson about 10 minutes quicker than before. The manoeuvrability of the big head is also better but a bit harder to get under chair legs. The intelligent nature of the Dyson, detecting the type of surface, is an impressive time saver in our house. We move from thick brand new carpet to timber floors to hall runners to tiles in very close quarters. The Outsize detects this and you can hear and feel the motors and head changing to suit the surface automatically. It’s very cool and works. The dust bin is much bigger than any other cordless vacuum out there and I guess for a really dirty huge house you might need it, but we will struggle to ever fill it from vacuuming our house. Easy to empty though. Our v6, one of the first Dyson cordless models, can be a bit fiddly to empty at first; the v11 Outsize has a much improved easy push trigger system so happy with that.

This thing is probably the best upgraded model that Dyson have released for battery stick vacs. My previous vac was a Dyson V8 Animal that I bought new in 2013. I thought that thing was great and it is still going strong for me. I have upgraded my house from a 140sqm living spaces to 250sqm living spaces so needed more vacuuming power, size, and battery life.
The V11 model I have came with an assortment of attachments to complete any job that I need done. I have the V11 Outsize, and there is another package available for the Outsize; the V11 O...
The V11 Absolute is a beast of a cordless vacuum with a 150% larger bin and 25% larger head on the main power brush. I received this unit 4 weeks ago as a Dyson Ambassador and every member of the family was excited to use it. We were able to clean our 5 bedroom house on a mixture of floating floor boards, tile, carpet, and shaggy rug with the main head and on a single charge. It was so easy to use even my 8 year old could do it.
Grading up from the Dyson V6 the difference was extremely noticeable (picture attached for size comparison). The leng...

Update July 2021:
Having owned the Outsize for some time now, its given me a better perspective. The overwhelming impression Im left with is one of convenience. The fact is I just havent used my mains powered vacuum for the house even once since getting the Outsize.
While, like I suggest in my review below, the Outsize might be out performed in certain situations, it becomes a largely irrelevant observation given I exclusively use the Outsize simply due to its convenience and ease of use. I now vacuum my house in stages, vacuuming a room or ...two when I see they need it. This, over time, covers the whole house. Only for the car would I get the mains vacuum out,and to be fair I do not have the flexible hose attachment for the Dyson when I might consider using it for the car as well. Reiterating whats in my review, the Outsize is relatively large and heavier than less powerful units, which may be a problem for some (but not me) - but to offset that you do get performance generally on a par with a mains unit in my opinion. This makes it less than ideal for stairs, but still far quicker and easier than a mains vacuum. For further details see my earlier full review below.

V11 Oustsize Dyson's Mega Cordless stick! But is it the best all-rounder?
I’ve purchased many brands of Corded Vacuum and Hand held/Dust Buster cleaners in the past 35 years.. My experience is that Dyson by far is the best brand for longevity and performance, still owning my corded Dyson some 15 years on, flogging it in my previous large home, so followed up with a Dyson DC59 stick as a Dust Buster, but found it was so good I started to use it as a regular house Vacuum Cleaner, using it now in my average sized home nearly 3 years. After 5 years the battery started to die after a few minutes use, another battery ...purchased from Dyson has is still running perfectly, into year 6. We have almost finished building a rather large house, and with a lot of build dust happening for a long time, I had been looking into the purchase of a more heavy duty stick with more power and longer battery life for our next house, not wanting to go back to using a corded cleaner. As my current stick does a great job, I thought a newer model would surpass it. It was very timely that I was asked to trial and review the Dyson V11 Outsize, by productreview.com. This is an unpaid review. For anyone currently with a Dyson Stick and wondering if the time has come, and if it is worth the money to upgrade, I hope my honest review and insight comparing the old to new can add extra perspective from a household review point. For first time buyers considering a Dyson, my operation and performance review will hopefully assist you too. I am not measuring sound or throwing anything onto a floor to test. But, speaking of sound, there is some good news!! This Dyson has been trialled at my current 28 square metre home. Our household flooring, consists of matt tiles to Living areas, Master Bed and Hallways, 3m x 4m metre rugs, charcoal carpet in media room, office, theatre room and 3 x minor bedrooms. Residing is two adults and a very special hairy Border Collie Fur Child, who sheds a lot of long fur year round, along with my long hair, also adding to the shedding problem onto floors.
Questions & Answers
I bought my Dyson V11 outsize 6 months ago, have not had an issue with it until a few weeks ago. It will not differentiate carpet to floor boards and is sucking at carpet power mode and obviously draining the battery so much quicker. Any tips on how to fix it?
Hi check the little screen on top it should say Auto and the bottom pad and roller should be clean .Hopefully it works
The Dyson V11 Outsize needs to be in Auto mode, with the Torque Drive Cleaner Head attached for the machine to change automatically between hard floors and carpets.
If the machine is in Boost or Eco modes, you are using another floor tool, the machine won't automatically change.
If you continue to experience difficulties, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Dyson Experts, you can find ways of getting in touch here: https://www.dyson.com.au/support/contact-us
Yes I always have the machine in auto mode and the Torque Drive Cleaner is always attached.
My Dyson outsize works, however, the 2nd battery says charged and when I put it in nothing happens.

We have just purchased the V11 outsize and find the dust head pulls firmly to the right when vacuuming, we cannot understand why it is doing this even on ECO mode.
This is certainly not to be expected. We would encourage checking the wheels underneath the floor tool and ensuring all the wheels are clear of debris and spin freely.
If so and this continues, please give our Dyson Experts a call on 1800 239 766 with your machine handy at your convenience.
