Received the wrong item.
Ordered a PS4 game, Switch Travel Case and Switch Joycon Grip through the online store last week. What was delivered (on Thursday) was a Simpsons Pop Vinyl figurine. While my initial inquiry was answered, and I sent them photos of the incorrect item, receipt and delivery label, I've yet to hear anything else from them.
Although this is the first time this has happened, I'm disappointed after what was once good customer service.
Better to avoid if you can.
I purchased gears of war 5 (new) on Saturday, it was delivered today (Wednesday). It didn't come sealed or with the Xbox sticker on it but it did have a new sticker on the top right of the game. Once I opened the case and looked at the disc I noticed it had dust and a few small scratches on it. I find it unbelievable that they can classify games that they have opened and put into cupboards and then placed back into the cases as new because half the time the discs get damaged.
Over 30 days to process last pending payment!!
3 preordered items purchased. Final payment pending received - per website T’s n C’s it is 1-4 business days to process at that point with 2 week delivery period. Over one month later items still pending and estimated delivery date in the past ... I canceled the items as I found them at JB Hifi in store AND in stock!! These items were just figurines. The 4th item I ordered is Xbox series S. Won’t be canceling that!!!
Beware of Exchange Policy

Due to Covid 19, we have been getting organised for birthdays and xmas early. I purchased the Mamba NBA Limited Edition Xbox Game $149.95 in September for my sons birthday and presented it to him for his birthday today (6 weeks later). He's not keen on the game so he wanted to swap it for another product. The game was unopened, in original packaging as new purchased from EB Games Galleria Morley.
EB Games Galleria would not allow an exchange, but they were kind enough to offer to trade it for $26.00! Under no cir...cumstances will I be purchasing in advance from EB Games for xmas. Aparently they have a strict 7 day exchange policy. When I purchased the game in September, I told them it was for a November birthday and was unsure if he would like it. I was told no problems, he can exchange it for something else as long as I keep the receipt and original condition of the game (which I did)! The T & C on the website state the 7 day policy but also state they can use discretion if the product is in original condition. Galleria Morley and the EB Games customer service line would not allow an exchange! Beware of their policy if you are purchasing in advance at any time regardless of what you are told verbally in the store, they will not honour their word.
Won’t be pre ordering from EB Games
When I know I haven’t be able to get out on a release launch, I pre order for delivery. I’ve done this 3 times and all 3 times the item is delivered almost a week after release.
JB Hi Fi without fail, gets your release day item to you on release day.
The only reason I used EB is for the pre order deposit but from now on, I’ll just go to JB and make sure the funds are there.
Very disappointing while everyone has their release items, many others wait
Incredibly dissapointed in this preorder. Estimated delivery of my console was the 12th and had been since September. So what does EB do? They ship it on the 11th (might have been sonys decision) but offer no explanation except a copy paste to everyone, and send it with Australias slowest and most unreliable courier service as opposed to DHL or other faster couriers. Pathetic effort on their behalf and glad my PS5 is the digital version as wont have to deal with this company ever again.
Poor customer service
Bought a blue yeti broadcaster mic which is a boom mic system aswell as a webcam so q totql of $600.
I get home the webcam is a type-c usb only webcam so i have to buy an adapter for this which is no big deal, I then unbox the boom and microphone put it together no issues, the next month elgato bring a microphone which has software so i choose to buy this and use the microphone in the $400 boom i bought, the issue is now the blue yeti mic has no stand so if the boom broke or you change microphone the blue yeti cant be used. So I preordered the ps5 from EB games in hope of receiving the first shipment, which did not end up happening. About 2 days ago I received an email from EB games saying that I’ve advanced in the que, which meant I’d receive the first shipment of ps5s and this new made me extremely excited. I got an email from them right now claiming that they “made a mistake regarding [my] PlayStation 5 order” which means that I will not be receiving the first shipment of ps5s, EB games has got to have the worst customer service in the gaming/ technology industry. I do not recommend anyone to shop their from now on as they might cancel your future orders. What a let down.
No respect for long term customer (L4)
Preordered game, took one month to arrive (ok, this was mainly AusPost). Refused delivery! Won’t refund until they receive game. It’s not the way you treat customers. Won’t buy anything from these S-Bags again!!

Will not refund the difference too an item purchased that went on sale at a major retailer 2 days later. This is expected from customers these days to ensure we get the lowest prices. Will not be back.

Xbox Series X Console - another pre-order failure as per normal.
I was ready at 7.30am on the 22/09/20 for the 8.00am timeslot to pre-order the new console. I got through to the checkout screen clicked to pay, then nothing. I was given an "error has occurred" or "no connection" message. I tried to pre-order again at 12.00pm and at 3.00pm same error message yet again. You need to get your act together with your online store as I'm sure that you would be well aware that your site would have been jammed up and smashed with people doing online preorders for the console.
I was very sceptical in the first place w...hen I went to the Mount Ommaney store the day before and the girl stated that they were "only" doing online pre-orders, no over the counter pre-orders sales whatsoever. Why sceptical you may ask. I've ordered games and media from EB in the past and had issues with checking items out i.e. the online store crashing and locking up mid transaction. And don't get me started on how you advertise products as "in stock" and then finding out halfway through a transaction that you actually have no stock available?....what a waste of time. And don't give excuses either as you would be well aware of the demand that new console hardware would have. I will be doing my shopping elsewhere JB Hi-Fi, Hervey Norman as well as a plethora of online stores as you have waisted several hours of my time today on a website that doesn't function properly and never has in the past.
Have lost a loyal long term customer
Yesterday the Xbox Series X arrived for pre order at EB Games. The service and online ordering experience was so bad that I was compelled to write a review here and purchase this product elsewhere. Here is a rundown of the catastrophic failure that this turned out to be:
Attempted to purchase at 8am on the dot as instructed only for the website to crash repeatedly and for the system to lock me out of my own account! Customer service advised to try again at the midday launch. No apologies or statements made on website or social media regarding ...problems. Attempted to purchase at 12pm only for the countdown clock to change to 3pm for all new pre orders! Attempted to purchase at 3pm only for the website to once again crash when attempting to purchase on the billing screen. Was also logged out automatically from my account and repeated crashes on both billing screen and payment. Attempted to contact customer service via email and website crashed. When I finally could access the email function my response was rejected as it was over 1000 words (even though it never said before typing that there was a limit). After cutting it back I attempted to resubmit only for the website to crash again! Eventually after several attempts it worked. Great customer service!! Both Facebook and Twitter have thousands of similar stories and as of yet EB Games still has not issued a formal statement acknowledging these problems or issuing an apology. I am a Level 4 VIP member and have shopped with EB Games for a long time but will be shopping with competitors predominantly from now on. EB Games was already in hot water financially and this will ensure that people continue to shop elsewhere. There is no excuse for todays behaviour so don't go trying to justify it. What should have been a day of excitement for a new product has just become major disappointment and a lot of wasted time. Transparency and accountability go a long way. RIP EB Games.
Terrible website. Pre ordering the XBOX and its in my cart yet cant pay and it just keeps erroring out. Poor website. Terrible service and quality. No wonder EB gams will be out of business one day with such a terribel service provided to customers.
They messed up preorders
I was told by sales reps that we would need to register interest to preorder a PS5 otherwise we wouldn't be eligible to buy one but then found out on the big announcement day that they had opened preorders to anyone with almost no warning. Terrible service and I feel like I have been lied to.

Refused to let me speak to a manager.
I had an issue ordering a console as the order errored but my money was taken. I phoned the customer help line to get a rude gentlemen who informed me that their computers were down and that he would not let me speak to a manager as that would not help. He was so rude I ended up demanding a refund of my money and will simply not deal with these people again. Worst customer service I have ever seen.
Bad preorder system
Faulty preorder system, they get gold to the ebay bots but not to the individuals and families that want them, would not recommend them at all, very bad design system
The worst possible online buying experience
Absolutely terrible website and zero accountability from the company on the disgraceful pre-order situation for next gen consoles. An hour and a half of clicking and refreshing and nothing to show for it. I will never shop with EB Games again.

pre order through you guys to be stuffed around this morning. Then only to miss out every where else. Thanks for the wasted time. Never again will I buy from you lot again
Preorder fail yet again
Went to preorder the new xbox, was there for the second it ticked over, got to the final cart screen pressed done and it came up with an error occurred, then tried for 5 more mins .... then sold out!
This keeps happening eb every major pre-order. as someone who has spent a LOT of money at eb, probably wont be back.
