I purchased a set of sheets at the same time as I purchased a mattress and pillow. I’m happy with the mattress and pillow, but the sheets are a whole other ball game.
After 6 months of not excessive use, in rotation with other bamboo bed linen, the Ecosa sheets are falling apart. I expected better.
I emailed Ecosa and was informed that they were out of the 45 day warranty period. And “Please also note that bamboo can be a delicate material so should be hand washed when possible otherwise washed in a room temperate gentle machine wash in a delic...

Poor and failing customer service even to a loyal high spending customer
Don’t risk a purchase with Ecosa as they will not provide customer support even to high spending loyal customers.
Since boxing day I have spent $1967.25 on Ecosa mattresses, toppers, pillows, sheets and a duvet cover. Recently I requested a change to the colour of a duvet in less than 24hrs from order and before dispatch. Ecosa choose to send the original and not wanted coloured duvet. “[name removed]” did not even bother to reply to my emails requesting them to confirm they would pay the return cost. I’ve emailed them and chatted with th...

Poor quality, faulty sheets and difficult return negotiation
I purchased a duvet cover for my son's room. It arrived in a lovely box and I was happy with the colour (as per the website images). After washing the product before use I went to put it on my son's bed and found a hole in the fabric and the zip unravelling. It is very cheaply made and the fabric is extremely thin.
I immediately contacted the company to ask for a refund showing pictures of the issues. They insisted that they would not process a refund - despite this being against my consumer rights. They used various tactics over 3 or 4 emails...
Questions & Answers
I brought these sheets and a doona cover before Christmas and am waiting to use when we go into our new house.
Is there anything at all I should avoid doing so that I don't have the same problem these poor people have had ?
Not really - I followed all care instructions provided by ecosa VERY carefully and I’ve only used the sheets 4 times. Unfortunately the product is just very poor quality, and the customer service is just as bad. I would suggest trying to see if you can return them while the packages are still unopened, if by chance they happen to be reasonable and accept the return, then go and purchase better quality products from a more reputable company.
I definitely would not ever purchase again, but hopefully you got lucky with your purchase and it lasts longer than a few uses.
Bamboo can be a delicate material so should be hand washed when possible otherwise washed in a room temperate gentle machine wash using only a mild detergent.
