Hard sales pitch
I had an appointment to measure for a front entrance. When they arrived they informed me it was going to take 2 hours. I explained I didn't want a huge sales pitch, so the Rep rang his boss and explained that I just wanted a quote. His boss said see how you go. The Rep then tried again to go through his sales pitch. So then then asked him to leave, he then rang his office and the person on the other end tried the pitch with me and I explained that I just wanted a quote and if they can't do this for me they could leave, they then said fine and left.
Don’t want to know about problems
Great product until something goes wrong. Back doors jammed locked and they couldn’t send anyone out for three weeks. Had to engage emergency locksmith. Now for the third time in two years we have to engage an emergency locksmith. Not good enough after spending $34,000+.
Windows are the Soul of the Home
All of us in the house are now happy that we have chosen professional company which respected their warranty obligations!
House is noticeably warmer in winter and much more cooler in the extra hot 40+ degrees days.
No wind goes any more through the house and noice reduction is exceptional!
I couldn’t get past the hard sales tactics. Horrible!!!
After 2.5 hours of an aggressive sales pitch, I was made to sign a “I do not want the discount “ when I firmly said I would not be signing today. I can see that some people would be pressured to sign without doing their research. There ARE comparable products and better priced. Abysmal outdated sales practices. Off putting to say the least.

How many family emergency cancellations can be legit for a company of this size?
Been trying to arrange a quote for over 4 weeks. 2 hour appointment slots need to be made with all household members. Big time commitment which we have made twice now, only to get a call 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment to cancel due to family emergency. Twice. The second time we were quite annoyed and they said”its hard to arrange people for quotes” ummm that’s your job?
Waste of time!

This is a scam, stay away !!!!
Called the 1300 number on the website and the girl on the other side was mentioning double glassing over and over as if they are the only company providing double glassing these days. Fast-forward 5 min after asking my requirements for the quote they needed 2 hours for someone to come and do the quote and want the whole family to be available to give me a quote for a single bi-folding door. When ask why they need both me and my partner available for this she was like we want both of you to make the decision. When i mentioned that we both want the same colours as other windows and doors and a bi-folding door for the space she said they can't do it and hung up on me. Don't fall for this tactics of trying to force sell.

Excellent product for thermal efficency
We purchased our windows from Ecostar approximately five years ago. We wanted to improve thermal efficiency. The installation was seamless. It took 2 days to install 7 windows and doors. It was a pleasure to have the installers. They were very decent guys. Our gas bills are lower. It does a very good of keeping the heat in, in winter. There is very little temperature change throughout the house. Another bonus is that the glass is self cleaning. Security is good. Another thing I like is with the old metal frame windows, they were not the...
Read morermally efficient, but with the plastic windows the profile is much more thermally efficient than the metal frames. Today we are ordering another 5 windows and a new front door from Jared. Another real benefit is that the windows are condensation free.Hard Sell reeks of scam.
I have not been that uncomfortable in a long time. The quote went on & on with promises galore IF I signed a contract on the spot. Who the hell does that?? 2.5 hours to see the back of the person who came into my home & took me for somebody who could be persuaded to jump into a contract. This is no way to do business & put me right off. NO SALE!! NO STARS.

Joke of a company
On 2 separate occasions I have contacted ecostar for a quote to replace 5x awning windows. You immediately get a sales person call to schedule a measure & quote, then ask about 10 sales qualifying questions. Then 1 day before the measure & quote you get another call asking the same questions. What they are doing is qualifying whether you are likely to purchase or not. If they feel you will not buy or are collecting multiple quotes, a few hours before the appointment time you get a call saying the guy is sick and cannot attend. As per some ...
Read moreother reviews, the appointment is simply a 2hr sales pitch, pressuring you to buy. You'll hear statements like, uPVC is designed for 80-90 years in the Australian environment, but its never been tested as it hasn't been in the country for more than 10-15 years and the warranty is only 10 years! This is a despicable & unethical practice, which I will be reporting to the relevant body.Find out how Ecostar Double Glazing compares to other Home Renovators

Good all round service and product
Ecostar has been great. Installation really good and efficient. Since then no problems with locking mechanisms or anything. There is a difference with sound coming through compared with where we have the windows and where we don't. Where we have the Ecostar windows we have a busy road and noisy neighbor and we don't hear much any more, but where we havn't done it we tend to hear more noise especially when it's windy. 70-80% noise reduction is what we've found. We ordered back in 2016 about 10 windows and doors. Before we had the windows done o...
Read moreur kids couldn't sleep due to the noise and now they sleep well. The heat keeps in. There were two installers that were here for two days. No difficulty with the workmanship around the windows at all. It has been nice to have a 9 point locking system on the front door. We feel very fortunate. It is a fair investment and I don't feel that we have overinvested into the property. We feel we would probably get the amount we spent back if we were to sell the property. Today we are looking at doing some more.- 8 reviews

Very pleased with my new patio window
I had to replace a timber 3 m x 2.1 m timber sliding door to the patio. My plan is to replace windows with double-glazing as they become old and rotten for reasons of thermal efficiency as climate change closes in on us. I chose Ecostar because the PVC frame meant no more painting (yay!) and the window is manufactured in the UK which has a lot of expertise in double-glazing. Ecostar’s quoting process is somewhat bizarre and takes about 2 hours plus more if you decide to go ahead, so be patient! Feel free to bargain. They instruct you in all the...
Read more documentation, guarantees, technical specifications, colour options, installation procedures and so on. My parents had double-glazing put in many years ago and I always thought it was ugly, but I was very impressed with the new flat profile. The doors look very stylish and I am very happy with them. The double-glazing is a piece of engineering with almost unbreakable glass and impenetrable locks. I was a bit worried that his marvel of engineering would fail at the installation phase depending on the contractor, but Ecostar seem to use their own people. The installation was completely painless and the guys did a fantastic and professional job and cleaned up everything, taking just 3 hours. I think it was a pretty straightforward install. I made an effort to remove everything from the room and outside to make life easy for them. One downside you might need to consider is the fly screen. I rarely open the sliding door and don’t need one. However, if I wanted a screen I would need a retractable screen across the whole 3 m width and these are very expensive. Since everything has gone well for me so far (the install was about 3 months ago), I have not had to ring Ecostar about any problems, so I can’t comment on their customer service. All in all, I am very pleased with the new patio window and will use Ecostar for my next window that needs replacing.- 3 reviews

Stay away- this is a scam
The sales person does a sales pitch for 2 hours and will not leave your house without theatrics (I need to call my manager etc!)- the door and window samples are awful and the prices are easily 40% above market price.

Strange and uncomfortable quote experience
Very bizarre experience when the Ecostar salesperson came to my home for a measure and quote. I genuinely went into the appointment interested in their product but after I told the salesperson I was happy to forgo the ‘single visit discount’ and would not be signing up on the spot, they became very pushy, refused to take no for an answer, and I had to lock myself in my study while he performed all sorts of calling ‘his boss’ theatrics until eventually he got the message and left. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own home and however good their product is, their bizarre hard-sell tactics mean I certainly not buy from them

WOW!!! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???
We're getting quotes to replace a few windows at our house. The general process is someone comes over, has a quick chat, takes some measurements, and then leaves and sends a quote within a few days. Works well.
Not with these guys!!! It was actually like a comedy show from the moment I first called after hearing their as on the radio.
The first step is totalk to someone on the phone who makes an appointment and tells you that you'll need 2 hours for the sales person to spend with you. I said I didn't have 2 hours and suggested we should ded...
Read moreicate about 30 minutes. They said we should be ok. Well, it wasn't ok. After we'd sat with the sales guy for about 15 minutes and felt like we weren't moving terribly quickly, we politely suggested we speed things up and thataybe we could get to the measuring bit as we only has about another 30 minutes to spare. That's when the pantomime really kicked up a gear. "ohh no, there's no way we can do this in 30 minutes. I won't be able to tell you everything about our company and our manufacturing process". We told him that frankly we didn't care about the company and the manufacturing process, we just wanted a measure and quote.no service
We ordered our windows 8 months ago. still no delivery and what is more disappointing is that we have had no communications with Eco star at all. Poor.
Very poor. We paid the deposit and nothing more has eventuated.
