Worked for 3 months, then mop stopped working. Sent the product for repair, Courier has lost the machine, have no updates of current state, they refuse to give me a refund. Don't spend $1300 on this, there are better options around for much less and at least a customer service that cares.

This little robot has changed our lives!
We live on a farm next to a dirt road, we also have a BIG dog with long hair and a tiny dog with short hair…both of which seem to endlessly shed throughout the house, needless to say it can be a bit dusty and hairy after just a couple of day. The T9 runs every day in the high traffic areas and every third in the spare rooms etc and does a fantastic job, not only have our carpets never been cleaner but the little mop attachment is bloody brilliant. We have a very large single story house with tiles and carpet throughout and the little vacuum nee...ds to charge up twice to do a full house clean which takes about 5 hrs. Love the way it remembers where it has cleaned up to and just goes back there automatically after automatically charging it’s batteries and emptying its dust bin. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough….MAGIC!

don't buy this product, disgusting customer service and crap product
I purchased Ecovacs Deebot T9+ from The Good Guys last month. Since then this product is playing up with map and app connection to backend server. I get error Data acquisition time out code 33001. I tried contact technical support but no difference. I asked to delete/add robot in app. reinstalling app but this is serious issue happened while starting machine, I called customer care few time. The last time today I called they did not answer call but when connected speak different language other than English. This product is absolute ridiculous. not recommended. I suggest to buy Roborocks Solid app and robust product.

I love this vacuum!
I’m really glad I bought this. Performs well on carpet and vinyl and even does a narrow strip that is half vinyl/half rug. Mopping function is good. Mapping is excellent and I am able to just auto run it while I’m at work or otherwise out, with no problems.
Like others, I find that it doesn’t always empty properly, and nor can I detect any of the air freshener it apparently dispenses.
Overall extremely happy.

Good vaccum except for not auto emptying.
I have wooden and carpet floors. It cleans excellent i would buy again for that reason alone. We spent the extra money to get the one with the empty station and the auto empty station makes the sound like it is sucking up all the dust. But the dust stays in the vacum and we have to empty it ourselves. Thats why it gets 4 starts.

Used on a 70/30 split hard vinyl planking and carpet. I brought this machine to replace my I robot roomba 780 which is coming up 10 years old. It was a great price compared to the new irobots and had good reviews online. The suction is absolutely terrible! Compared to my nearly 10 year old irobot it picks up hardly anything, even if I have it on max suction. It still leaves our white cats fur on the carpet. It doesnt empty itself properly, doesn't go under furniture even though it can fit and the run time is between an hour and an hour 20 most ...of the time. Ecovac support is next to useless as I emailed them within 3 days of getting this machine advising that I think I had a dud re run time etc. I just got sent back a generic reply about what settings to have enabled on my phone. So I wish I'd saved up and brought another irobot. Would not recommend this product!

Good machine but big design flaw
Great suction, not too noisy, nice design but... if you have a natural fiber high pile carpet that sheds (like I do - but only in 3 bedrooms) or simply dust & debris that 'overfills' the small dustbin (doesn't take much) then the auto emptying station simply can't auto-empty and you have to manually clean it out. Oh, and then manually untangle the rollers. Every. Single. Time. Great that it sucks so well but this is a major design flaw. It is a large auto-empty station which was pointless for us. I thought maybe it would be ok if I ran it two o...r three times a day for several days but still didn't auto-empty. My house is very clean normally as I vacuum every week so it wasn't because of excess dust. I tried doing one bedroom at a time and then sending it back to auto-empty but it still couldn't cope. Pity as I thought it was otherwise a good machine but this is a deal breaker. Hope they can fix this issue in the design!

Ecovacs deebot T9+
I've got a new t9+. The vacuum is really good at cleaning and mopping. However, the app is appalling. Very bad mapping. It takes at least 5 different goes for each area like my 2x3m kitchen. Vac gets confused when going back to dock by going in circles and getting stuck. I never move my furniture at all. Already cleaned over 20x and it is still very bad. My older 4 year old Roborock cleans each area at one go and is much more efficient without the cameras. No spot function and can't clean my shaggy rug- gets stuck in the middle, unlike my older roborock. A waste of $1400. A smart vacuum is only as good as its software too. I give top marks for vacuum cleaning functions but only 1 out of 5 for software.

Good relacement of manual floor cleaning
Awesome job of vacuuming and mopping of our wooden floors and vacuuming of carpets.
The map is a nice feature but some glitches in editing maps were experienced (unable to divide rooms).
The robot also decides not to clean under or sofa even though it fits.
Overall, this robot does a fine job at the price, and manages decent object avoidance.

Disclaimer: Product was supplied for review. This is my first robot vacuum. Review is impartial. Product used daily for approximately one month.
Spoiler alert: your floors are not as clean as you think they are. We are but animals.
Did I ever think I'd need a robotic vacuum cleaner? No. Am I glad I now have one? YES! Would I pay $1300 for one? Probably not. But I probably would buy a lower-spec model if this one died.
This review is for the full T9+ kit with all the extras. You get sweeping, mopping, air "freshening", a self-emptying base station and 3d mapping of your home.
It's also cute.

A perfect robo-vac that you can rely on!
I received my Ecovacs Deebot T9+ from product review as a brand ambassador. I have been using another popular brand robotic vacuum cleaner for the past one year in my two storey semi carpeted house. Knowing the limitations of my existing robo-vac I was very keen to know how different this one was compared to the one I own, considering this one is almost twice as expensive as my existing one.
PACKAGING & INSTALLATION:
The vacuum packaging was quite great; however, I wish the company was mindful of over-packaging stuff. I don’t understand why ...

Fantastic little machine!
I had vacuumed and mopped my house which has hard flooring and tiles throughout and i have to sweep, vacuum and steam mop every second day to get rid of dust and dirt with a tradie husband and a dog that drags dirt inside constantly! I charged up the ecovacs deebot to give it a trial run and as I don't use wifi I just started it up manually and watched it map out each area it was in and cleaned all the skirtings, all my rugs and under all of the beds and the whole time it did not bump into any furniture or walls and did not damage or mark anyth...ing or get stuck on anything. I emptied the deebot 3 times on its first run - I wanted to see how much dust and dirt it sucked up & I was shocked of how much fluff, fine dirt, dust and dog hair it picked up after I had already precleaned everywhere so I am so impressed by this! I love the way it has the power to pull itself up onto my wool rugs and then thoroughly clean them all better than some standard vacuum cleaners! Its very quiet and so efficient and it cleaned a 4 bedroom house easily and quickly on a single charge - I did not have to recharge it half way through the cleaning which is great! I have used other branded robotic vacuums but I think for me this is far superior in its cleaning capacity and it has been well built and not flimsy like some of the other branded ones. For someone like me this wonderful machine is a godsend and makes my housework easier! This is not a cheaply made or designed machine and you can tell by the fantastic results you get from using it.

It is has a place in your household..
I remember as a kid watching "The Jetsons"..and all those gadgets they had in their futuristic home..one being a vacuum cleaner.
When one of the Jetsons dropped an item on the floor..out from a trapdoor came the vacuum cleaner and sweep up the mess and then head back to the cubby hole from where it came.
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ has nowhere near that type sophistication..even 60 years after the last Jetsons episode aired.
So like a line from that song "War".."what is it good for"...the Ecovac"s Deebot T9+ in some degree can fit into peop...

Great little machine
This is the first robot vacuum that I've ever owned/used, so I can't compare it to other robot vacuums.
It comes with a nice, easy-to-use APP for your phone, which is where you press buttons/etc to not only set the Deebot to map your house, but also to charge itself when done, self-empty its little dustbin, etc. Setting up the APP did initially knock off the internet on my phone (I had to 'reset network settings' on my Samsung android) but I'm not sure what caused it. I restarted the setup a second time and everything went smoothly.
I love it.... It's surprisingly powerful for such a small unit. It has a small 'dustbin' where the mess goes once it is sucked up. The charge lasts for the whole house, which is pretty good since the Deebot is so thorough (i.e takes its time to clean, sometimes going back over areas). It mapped the house quite quickly (visible via the accompanying phone app) and remembers where everything is. If you change the angle or position of its docking bay, though, it will get confused and do slow movements and circles as if scanning its surroundings for the bay. All I did was turn the docking bay sideways (after it had been mapped) so it wouldn't stick out as far from the wall, and this confused the machine. I turned it back to its original angle after about two minutes of the Deebot trying to locate it, and it came back and found it without issue. This probably isn't a big deal if you a) make sure the docking bay is in a place you want to keep it, or b) erase the map of the house and let the Deebot RE-map everything with the bay in the preferred angle. The Deebot's charging dock/bay has a compartment where you put the little vacuum bags in, and once the Deebot has returned to its dock, you press a button in the APP that allows it to auto-empty from the Deebot dustbin into the vacuum bag in the dock compartment. It's an excellent addition. You do still have to ensure that you remove excess hair or other particulates from the Deebot's little rotating brush, but this is relatively simple and is common for any vacuum, I'd imagine.
I’m not that dirty!
Now, I have tried a few, and one fail on me, which brought me here to the T9+.
This is a great little machine, the 3D smarts is amazing and cleaning ability makes me ashamed of my own cleaning abilities... I vacuumed and mopped, then set this little bugger on its first mapping mission.
After completing the map, I checked the dust bin, and to my shock and joy I saw this bugger filled with all sorts of things!
The auto clean function works well and the auto empty is great! Loud but great!
The robot itself is quiet as it scurries around cleani...ng better than me obviously And have tested avoidance systems as well, they work!! An odd moment with the unit was when trying to stop her from cleaning, the missus yelled No!! Go to bed, and the robot we call “Senior” appeared to pee??? Where did the water come from?? She was loaded with the scent capsule?

Questions & Answers
Hi, my robot has now decided to totally disappear from the map has anyone else had this happen? I can see the docking Station on map but no robot. So he tries to create a new map every time he cleans and cannot return to base. It's super weird. Any tips? I've tried turning both units off for a while.
UPDATE...had to let it try and do a new map and return it to charge (several times) and eventually the robot and the charging station found each other and could reconnect and I could restore my original map. So weird and frustrating hope it doesn't happen again. But will leave this up incase anyone else has the same issues.
I have never had that problem. But one tike ive had the map showing the vaccum at a different place
Is the pad that is used for mopping washable? Or do you have to use a new one every mop?
With this particular model we include 10 disposable microfibre mopping pads.
For the most hygienic and hypoallergenic clean, we recommend disposing of the mopping pads after use. Additional mopping pads may be purchased via our retail partners including Bing Lee, Godfreys, JB Hi-Fi, and The Good Guys for less than $20 per pack.
Hope this helps,
The ECOVACS team.
