Good but expected better !
Our experience with Eden Brae at the beginning and during construction was really good.
The sales consultant [Name Removed] did an excellent job, the customer service by [Name Removed] was great as she was answering everything in a very prompt and informative manner.
During the building process we had 3 different supervisors and all of them were working with their teams on the construction process and kept us informed with each stage of the process all the time.
I was really happy and confident with Eden Brae until we moved into our house, t...

Wouldn’t do this again, still waiting!
Sales process was nice and easy, this is how they suck you in!
On the last day our plans were due back for CDC approval, we get a call to say they had drawn the setback incorrectly and everything needed to be redrawn and resubmitted for approval and it would be an 8 week delay because we just join the back of the queue behind all the other new customers to get their plans built! Are you kidding me? It took three phone calls and several emails to their Customer Service Manager before she would agree it was their error and to push us up the queue...

Kitchen is falling apart after only
six months. Cupboards bind, dishwasher doesn’t fit, marks in paintwork. We have had over 100 defects noted in entire house and waiting on resolution. We have found that in the initial build they use cheap shoddy tradesman who take no care or responsibility. We found the painters painting by mobile
phone light one night- and they don’t use drop sheets- even after the carpet is laid! Neither do they clean before they paint. We have had dirt painted into all door treads.
One window not installed properly
and the lounge room flooded in a downpour.
Plenty of excuses from supervisors - still
waiting on resolution. House looks beautiful when looked at from afar - but beware the finer details.

Very Tedious & Poor Quality
I signed with Eden Brae in March 2019. Now August 2020 & still have not got satisfactory completion of my home. There have been major mistakes during the build which have been found by myself & taken a long time to rectify. Handover could not be done with works incomplete & still no sign of work being completed for new handover date. Tradesmen are not showing up to complete work and the site supervisor is not returning calls to advise why there is delays. I continue to pay rent & there’s been no compensation for the weeks where my house has sat with no work happening during fine weather. Very stressful & I would not recommend building with Eden Brae. I hope a manager rectifies these issues asap.

Extremely poor after sales maintenance service
Built quality, Very poor & substandard in so many areas. Garage got quite big cracks even before handover & they aren’t ready to rectify it despite so many requests. Plumbing is par below standard. Hot water pipe burst inside the ceiling & maintenance manager said it happened due to rain. Front entry door misaligned by quite a significant margin, again they said it’s ok. En-suite door continuously rubbing & scratching , he is continuously sending painters to patch up the paint, instead of changing the door. Maintenance manager [name removed] a...lways try to cover up all repair issues & created lots of hassle for us. Now hot water system pressure valve is malfunctioned & he said its out of warranty, whereas he was the one who told us it’s normal & don’t need to worry (within warranty period). He is the most untrustworthy, unprofessional & unethical person we ever experienced at eden brae homes. At 13 weeks inspection, he argued in almost every repair job. After handover, they will treat you as they don’t know you. We are still struggling to get things done which started broken down towards the end of 2 yr period or immediately after that. No courtesy, no values, no after sales service promises kept.

Couldn't deliver quality, give someone else a try
We went with Eden Brae as they ticked most of the boxes and were slightly better value than other major builders, they weren't the cheapest but seemed to offer fair value.
We had an OK experience throughout pre construction but unfortunately the end product just wasn't up to standard
Going into construct everything seemed OK, our first site supervisor [name removed] only ever called us once to complain that we had hired an external building inspector to do stage checks inspections.
I feel like he took this out on u...s by the quality of the work being completed. Our inspector picked up many items that didn't reach Australian building standards, [name removed] and Eden Brae would always tell us it's OK, they are still still fixing it.

Poor Quality Build for a Premium Price
I don’t usually post reviews but after seeing how many positive reviews there are I thought it would be helpful to share our experience.
Firstly, let’s start with what went well.
Our sales consultant was really helpful and even called on call on his day off to discuss options and answer questions. Our customer service co-ordinator was friendly and excellent with communication; everything moved smoothly and very quickly.
Construction is where the disappointment began.
Our supervisor was difficult to talk to and communication was very minimal.
Questions & Answers
Would you take over the build and plans of the design (modified) we went with (big mistake) with clearly one of the worst project home builders in Australia, MetriCon. What an absolute nightmare they have been!!
Hello good morning
I’m messaging you in the hope someone might help me... we are pretty sure we’ve decided on building the Sandringham 38 but it’s not on display anywhere our consultant has assured us of this...but maybe someone’s built it or got some pics to share with us???. here’s hoping thank you:))Kyra
Hi Kyra, sorry I don’t have any info on a display site, but I love the Sandringham from what I have seen online.
I am wondering if you can please share the quite you received from them? My quite came in at a touch under $500k for the 38 model.
Can anyone share their first hand experience with Eden Brae connect homes?
I built my first home with Eden Brae home 17 years ago, and while I had a few small issues, for the most part they were still very good. After 17 years and 3 growing boys, the house still looked amazing when we finally sold only a few months ago. We're looking to build another home (which is why I'm on this forum) and seems like they are still pretty good and will probably stick with Eden Brae based on our last experience and recent reviews
