Bought a Bamur-AG mower which looked good and ran well, for a while.
After about 18 months and very light usage ( maybe 20 - 22 mows of a small lawn) the recoil starter packed up. No option but to buy a new starter - at a cost of $62. This raises the question of how long the new unit will last, and will parts be available in the future ?. Agree with other reviewers that this is cheap Chinese junk.
If considering buying a mower do yourself a favour, go to the big green box or your favourite hardware store, pay a bit more, and get a decent product.
Warning - Do not buy a power product from Edison
I have a 2016 Mower bought from Edison and I need a new Air Filter.
Other parts like spark plugs, blades etc are easy enough to get anywhere but if you need anything specific they won’t stock beyond 2 years citing minimum “consumer law” requirement to do so.
Darren provided little to no specific information, then he tried to get me to buy an entire new mower...
You get what you pay for, Chinese junk mowers, bad after sales assistance and shady business practice.
Next time I’ll buy a reputable brand from a seller that can be trusted to offer support when you need it.
There are other Bad Reviews on here, you have been warned about Edison’s....
Insulting and terrible service
i purchased an expensive stump grinder expecting it to be good, but obviously made in china i should have known better, twice the cost of other stump grinders at $1695, cables no good , accelarator slips, brake sticks, then the teeth packed up after only 2 small stumps, so i ordered new teeth almost $200, 3 weeks later they never arrived, they were sent to perth, i was bounced around between Darren and Alan , they are refusing to refund me, and now i cannot purchase replacement teeth so the machine is useless, yet they have a dont give a damm attitude,, but people always change when they meet up with me in person,
Bought a mower that barely worked. Edisons tried to run me around with little fixes etc despite being a new product that shouldn't need fixes. Doesn't start at all now and have been complaining since the mower was basically new but Edisons don't obviously back up their warranty. Seems like this product was absolute junk.

Purchased the following item:
MTM 62CC Pole Chainsaw Petrol Chain Saw Brush Cutter Brushcutter Tree Pruner
Package turned up without brushcutter attachment. I requested they send it out however they refused saying it wasn't included. When I questioned them as to why it was included in the listing description if it wasn't included they advised that I shouldn't purchase an item based on the listing description and should read the full description more thoroughly.
Edison Don't Honour Warranties!
Don't buy from this Company ! I brought a wet vac from Edison's via eBay,- and the electric motor failed within the warranty period . I contacted Edison's 7 times via my eBay account,- and Edison's have not responded to all 7 of my emails ie not responded at all.

The quality doesnt get any worse than this Baumr AG Line Trimmer from Edisons.
Bought a Baumr AG 40v line trimmer. Terrible quality chinese made toy. Died right after the 1 yr warranty period expired. No parts to repair. No replacement available. Cant get through on phone support. Getting the run around on email. Straight in the bin. What a waste. Only used once a month for about 15min. Do yourself a favour, spend a few extra bucks and get a proper quality tool from your local hardware store with 6 years warranty thats actually going to last.
Emailed Edison’s to enquire and request a part for my broken mower still waiting for a response from 4 months ago and again 2 months ago tried ringing unable to get through. Very poor customer service but are quick on shipping and taking your money otherwise after service a big thumbs down

Not happy at All!!!!
My mother in law bought my husband and I a 20" petrol lawn mower for Christmas after it arriving to us we assembled it as instructed, mowed for no more then 3 minutes to see how it ran (seemed fine) 2 days later we needed to mow our lawns and went to start the mower again and the pull start would not retracted so my husband to the top cover off to see if it was restricted and there were small plastic shards of broken plastic all through the top, also the coil has exploded inside the mower. My husband also discover that there was extreme corrosi...on all over the motor and not to mention the rust all through it. On the same day we contacted the supports email that is supplied with images of all that was is wrong and we still have not received any corrospondence. We are wanting a full refund for the mess mower they have sold a customer. If there is no response the ACCC will be contacted due to a substantial amount of money lost and very poor customer service and also faulty products. I will add, our lawn still is not mowed!!! Not happy!!!
Poor customer service
Edisons and the freight company were not contactable by phone. I wanted items to be left near my front door if I wasn't home. I was told by Edisons that if the freight company doesn't leave it at my door then I'm responsible for re-delivery costs. Delivery distance is only 12 kms and cost > $100 for a $220 product. GIven that neither company is contactable by phone in real time - this is incredibly poor. Also Edisons offer 15% bonus discount for first order on their website which they don't honour if product is already on sale - but they don't tell you this which is misleading.

First came across the business last year. Asked a question on a product. Staff had no idea. Referred to the online brochure, which did not have the answer to my question.
Fast forward to 2020. I needed to buy an item sold by Edisons and another online retailer based in Vic with bad reviews. Chose Edisons, being Sydney based and to reduce purchase risk by going through Ebay and paying a bit more. Pick up of the item not an option as their warehouse only opens Monday to Friday 9am-3pm, so one has to live or work close to Seven Hills or Penrith ...in Sydney. It takes one week for delivery through their courier, based in Victoria, who are very difficult to reach by phone. Edisons only communicate via email and it can take 3 days to get a response. Edisons promote a 15% discount on the first item, if one has subscription with them. What they do not and can not clearly say, even after several emails, is whether the discount applies to the original listed price or the latest webpage posted price. Their staff do not understand simple questions and over the last few days has not been able to give me a clear answer on the simple question: Is the 15% subscription discount applied to original listed price (which is what I think is the case) or to the current posted price? The staff keep mixing up the issue with an item already purchased and the question relating to the subscription discount on an item not yet purchased. Summary: Edisons.com.au staff have no idea of what they are selling. Staff do not understand the simplest of questions put to them, which is most annoying. Response to emails can take 2-3 days. Pick up of items is inconvenient with the warehouse open for a very limited few hours Mon-Fri. Edisons use a delivery courier based in Vic and their 1300 number will place you on lengthy hold, repeating a prerecorded message.
Very Bad Experience !! Do not recommend
Customer service matters when there is issue or problem. Most of people who wrote positive review, actually, wrote about product rather than edisions. It is like giving positive review to dealer if your toyota car runs fine.
I bought product from edisions.com.au and i received partial delivery. Then i realised that there is no contact number mentioned on site. As usual i send email to email@example.com and contacted them through filling form in website. My fear become reality, No Response. Did same again since then everyday and still no r...

Greatest heap of s??t I have ever bought.
As I am 78 years old and still mobile when I saw the Powerblade self-propelled mower for sale I jumped at it. Delivery was quick but that is the only positive I have. After one or two jobs mowing the lawn I had trouble starting the mower. True, you were quick to give me the name of a mower repair person in Brisbane who fixed it. After two more mows the fuel line became ripped so petrol was not getting to the engine. I fixed that and then on the very next mow when I went to adjust the height the handle broke away meaning I couldn't adjust the he...ight. As stated this is the greatest heap of s??t I have ever bought. Given that I bought this thing in November 2018 warranty has run out. During the time I had the mower I spent three months overseas so the number of times I used it was not often. I would not and could not recommend this range of mower to anyone. The best thing you could do, even though it is out of warranty, is to give me my money back.

Painful purchase experience, go elsewhere!
It is hard to believe that Edisons actually has positive reviews.
I purchased a petrol pump which was too heavy for Australia Post to deliver so I had to drive 40 min round trip to the post office to collect it.
Pump was faulty and another headache to get Edisons to arrange courier to pick it up as it is too heavy for Australia Post (28kg)
They then delayed providing a refund for over 2 weeks after receiving the pump so I phoned ebay to step in and provide the refund.
I would not reccomend Edisons to anyone after this experience.

Jet-USA 3800PSI Electric High Pressure Washer / Purchase cancelled with no explanation or refund
Purchased Pressure Washer on 10th December 2019 and purchased was confirmed with the amount of $253.30 charged to my credit card. Email confirmation received. The product had not arrived as promised. I checked my Edison account and discovered the order was cancelled. Checking the invoice and website, you cannot tell when they cancelled the order. I attempted to contact Edisons to only receive a voicemail directing to you their website. I called the number several random time over 4 days and they never answer. I have emailed them and also ...used their online request form. I am yet to receive a reply. I have been charged the full amount on my credit card. At this point, no product, no response nor a refund. When I checked the reviews on Google and this website it appears that many of their reviews are very recent but are very general. For example, they do not state the product that was purchased and they also state that the customer service is great! When you investigate further and check reviews with specific products you will see numerous examples of no contact from Edisons. Despicable conduct and I have requested ASIC and scam watch to review the Company. This is especially pertinent give the headline on the company website regarding selling fake Toyota snorkels and being ordered to provide full refund. The headline is so dull that it is difficult to read and you can easily miss this because it does not stand out. Good luck if you do not live close to their warehouses.
prp-o2 water pump
purchased this pump with a 12 month warranty this pump failed and was replaced under their return policy/warranty the new pump arrived and was put to work and it has now failed after 6 months and after waiting for a reply for over two weeks , only to receive an email today advising they do not provide any warranty on exchange products, i have now lodged a complaint under the australian consumer law with the nsw office of fair trading
12/2/2020 returned pump to edisons and recieved a call today advising the pump is a total loss and will not ...be replaced as it is in their words 21 months old and warranty is only for 12 months from the date of orginal purchase so we now have 2 pumps that have failed to last 12 months between them. as nthe replacement pump was delivered in may 2019 it basicALLY HAD NO WARRANTY I would recommend that you consider any other brand .

SX92 92cc Fraud
SX92 mkII 92cc chainsaw is only a 70.6cc saw. Bore is 50mm and stroke is 36mm. Proof can be found here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/g55mx2r4cl4oqt5/YouCut_20191203_173635491.mp4?dl=0
I have contacted Edisons to inform them they are in breach of Australian Consumer Law by providing a false description. They refuse to issue a refund unless I send the chainsaw back at which point I am sure they will sweep it under the rug.
The chainsaw developed a fault otherwise I would have never known. I will be inspecting other small engines I have purchased from them.
No phone support
I would agree with the previous comments about no phone support. I believe this is detrimental to the company. I'm just not going to buy from a company that insists on email correspondence only. This not only makes it hard to decide on the product you might like to buy, but also if a problem comes up after purchase. I would have thought a quick 1 or 2 min call would have been worth a few hundred dollars to a company - apparently not.

I have not received my goods as yet, it was shipped last friday,
Depends where the delivery address is. Did you purchase directly from Edisons or through Ebay? Within Greater Metro area? If so, you should already have emailed Edisons. What I have learnt is that it is better to buy via Ebay, so that Ebay can get involved in solving problems. I am guessing that Edisons will say they are going through a very busy period, hence the delay. In that case Edisons need to adjust the expected delivery dates before an item is sold. Customer Service at Edisons is very bad. Makes me wonder how it is they are still in business. Edisons management obviously do not care. If Bluestar is being as courier, ringing them is a waste of time. You will be on hold listening to a pre-recorded message for who knows how long. My advice: keep emailing and asking questions.
Your replacement should be on its way to you soon. Please do not hesitate to get back in contact with us should you have any further questions or concerns. We're here to help!
