Absolute waste of money. My previous WIFI Network consisted of a dodgy Temu WIFI Extender ($20) and Ancient TP Link Router and 2nd Gen Telstra Router and it was far superior to this rubbish. Why, you ask, how can that be! Well, those clever little boffins at Eero insist that you link your Eero units together in a great big daisy chain. What,… Read more

did you think you could just connect them to your home Network? Don't be silly, that would make sense.

No, no, no! You can only connect 1 Eero to your network and all other Eeros must connect to that "Gateway" Eero or they wont connect via Ethernet. So if you have a central Modem or Switch or router, throw it away and buy 20 Eero's, because that the only way you're going to connect everything. What a joke!

My mistake was buying 2 of these fish buckets thinking I could put one at each end of the house, both hard wired to my ethernet network. Nope, not Eero. To do that I need a 3rd unit and another Network Switch. I get that its the Eero ecosystem, but seriously, that Ecosystem properly sucks when you need to double wire your network or buy more Eero units than you actually need, to get them to work.

Do not buy!

Do not think about buying!

See what Temu have on offer, I dare say it will be way better!

Total garbage as a router. No matter how i configure it I simply cannot get more than 150mbps out of it on my superloop 1000/100 plan. Upload speed fantastic sitting around 95. Download speed only 15% of plan capacity. Also poor coverage. Only 1 bar in furthest room of a small 4 bedroom house. In contrast my old modem from Optus, a Sagemcom F@st… Read more

5366, delivered me 550-600mbps when connected and coverage way better, getting minimum 3 bars anywhere on premises.

In short, poor download speeds and insufficient coverage means I will not be using this again. Might be good in a small apartment on a slow plan but for my needs, total garbage.

Forgot to add the pathetic amount of LAN out ports (1) compared to my Sagemcom F@st 5366 which has 4.

Unfriendly interface. No way of fixing unit, has to be operated free standing. Only two ethernet ports, you use one to connect to the outside world and then just one spare so if you have 2 or 3 wired connections you need a network switch. Not IOT friendly, some units just won't connect. Power plug is wider than a standard plug, so it cannot sit in the GPO next to something else.

I brought this device based on comments that it was easy to setup and block devices. 1/ setup (after I found out I needed to turn on Bluetooth) was easy. 2/ adding devices has been (and continues to be) a problem. Not all devices show up, devices are logged on to the internet even after blocking time has been set. 3/ devices are not showing… Read more

up even after resetting the app (which only runs from my iPhone 15).

4/ printed instructions don’t exist - the only option is to phone the support line (which as a non verbal person, doesn’t help).

Would I recommend buying the device? Not a chance.

Product works ok but basic functionality is behind a paywall. Having shelled out $455 I was shocked and disappointed to find out that simple things like which websites have been visited and basic parental controls need a premium subscription. Don’t recommend this product. I feel Amazon are being greedy here. Show details

Fabulous male called Anton helped me connect my new eero 7 this morning, he was very switched on and new exactly how to connect from his end. He was patient, gave clear instructions in a timely and polite manner. If I needed him to repeat the process he was very helpful making sure not to rush me. I was able to get my new eero 7 connected and up… Read more

and running. I have connected our phones, tv and computer so quickly it is magic. Again Flip you were the best decision I made to get internet and phone connection with. I always find the staff on the off occasion I have a query to be most helpful. Pity other companies don't treat there customers this way.

The Eero7 is a top quality router and it is really easy to manage and configure. I required good coverage as we have a large house.and block. I called Swoop support yesterday, and spoke to top class technician DIRO. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted help setting up a 2nd Eero , reserving IP addresses and port forwarding. Diro… Read more

sorted this out in minutes. I cannot recommend Swoop highly enough. Sorry, product and nbn. I have been using google nest router and mesh devices for a few years... Their support has deteriorated drastically, and I am really happy that I moved to swoop and Eero.
