This Ego hedge trimmer has given me great results. It's got a lot of cutting power, I have a long row of hedges in my back yard that I didn't want to just maintain and trim, but cut in half right through the wood. I tried my chainsaw but it was very annoying as the chain tends to make the hedge bounce around, rather than cutting.
I literally pulled the trigger on this hedge trimmer, poked it in to the centre of my hedge (which is 1.8 metres tall) and stared pushing it sideways through the wooden branches. It cut right through first time. Succe...ss! In just a few seconds I had a section of hedge cut right along the middle. This ego hedge trimmer for regular hedge maintenance is like using a hot razor blade through melted butter. The hedge just falls away. When you reach a wood part that needs removing this thing has the depth and power to slice through it. It is well built, and feels solid where it counts. The central motor part is a big block of solid aluminium which gets very hot. This is great because that means it's doing its job of dissipating heat correctly. You will not find cheap abs plastic here. It has some weight to it, it's not heavy but it most definitely is not light. I'm using a 5.0ah battery.
