Electrolux ERM4307SD

Struggled with this for nearly one year – This fridge is driving us crazy. We cannot work out what temperature to choose, as the interior seems to be moist at all times. The vegies go off in the crisper, no matter which setting we use also. Its interesting that Electrolux do not have any standalone fridges in their range any more.

Disappointed – We have just recently purchased a top of the line electrolux fridge erm4307sd and freezer efm3607sd and have been disappointed by the performance of both. Both the fridge and freezer are set on the maximum coldness and the fridge is not as consistently cold as our previous fridge or as cold as we would like it. With our normal opening and closing of the fridge through the day the temp of the items in the door could stay above the recommended temperature range for the whole day. We have had a thermometer in the fridge to monitor the coldness of liquid in the door and it increases to 5 degrees and more after the door has been opened and takes half an hour to get back down. The compressor can take 10 to 15 minutes to cut in when the fridge has been opened. The electrolux service man said that some fridges are designed to operate on maximum settings. The fridge works better at night which suggests it is not coping with our Darwin daytime temperatures. So what happens when we get a hot day, should we go out and buy ice or not use our fridge or perhaps turn our old one back on and use that one?
