Omg I love it, swapped from a top loader. Can wash all my sleeping bags, doonas , blankets with no Probs at all
It’s great ! Has great length cycles from 26 min. I researched a lot of front loaders and this one was one of a few that did take larger loads on most of there cycles. It washes sleeping bags, doonas, large balankets amazingly, kind of fluffs them up at the end. I can wash Kids school clothes in 26min. No More lint on anything. There is only one super long cycle which is cotton that I don’t use because it takes a few hours, don’t see the need to wash something for that long. It is a very easy machine to use, it remembers the last cycle i used ...Read more
when I turn it back on each time, which can be handy with teenagers in the house. We are a family of 6 and I would never go back to a smaller machine . It sits very high and has a massive door which saves me bending right down. Clothes don’t tangle like they used to in a top loader. I was lucky I got to turn machine on in shop and play with the times on machine to see if it suited my family. Can’t speak highly enough of this machine. It has a time manager program which cuts down time on most cycles if I need things washed quicker. It only has a cold hose tap connector which is fine as it heats its own water if need be. Also has a vapour function which I put on to kill Germs , kids sick, underwear, towels etc.. spin speed is only 1000rpm which I find good, not one of the highest ones on market but I don’t have a problem with it! Seems gentle on fabric of clothes but still gets dirty farm muddy clothes clean! Again it’s an extremely easy machine to use has everything on it I needed. If you can fit this machine in your laundry it’s worth a look for sure. I paid $1400 for mine from Harvey Norman a few weeks ago. I don’t think I have any negatives to say about it at this stage. We are saving a lot in water that’s for sure from swapping from our 10kg fisher and paykel top loader. I have back issues but seems this machine is so much taller then most front laoders I haven’t had a problem at all. One thing it did say is it had an internal light , which it doesn’t! But because machine is so big it doesn’t getting dark in there at all when door is open. Think I’ve covered everything. If you would like more of the cycle times pls ask and I will let you know them all..Purchased in February 2019 at Harvey Norman for A$1,400.00.

Does the EWF1408B1WA always need the 90 minute Monthly clean with 1/4 litre bleach solution? It says to on page 8 of the manual. If you don't do it what happens?

I don't own this machine but generally they say this because otherwise you get mould and build up of gunk from soap residue/ lint etc inside the machine where the water travels. If you don't it will make the machine and clothes smell of gunky mould. Most machines need this hot cleaning wash done. Some use diluted vinegar or eucalyptus drops etc instead of bleach in the hot water.
Hi, Never have to do this as I make my own Fabric Conditioner and this keeps your front load machine in excellent condition. I have been doing this for 15 years now and it also saves on buying shop purchased fabric conditioner. This is the simple recipe
Use an old 2 litre bottle add 3 heaped teaspoons of Lectric soda crystals a few drops of soluble Eureka lavender oil (but make sure it is the soluble ones) then fill up with warm tap water - shake and then use as you would your normal expensive one for a fraction of the cost and it also helps keep your machine clean and smelling nice. All items available in Woolies or Coles.
Give it a try.
