protect you on this if you can be bothered. Terrible customer service in general - have to stay on hold for hours, try to charge you for call out fees but won't tell you what time the consultant is coming. Awful experience.

I should point out that I didn't buy this machine. I probably wouldn't have picked it myself, as there are a number of red flags I like to think I would have picked up on. No, this machine was gifted to me by a friend and I decided to sell my very good 15 year-old Whirlpool. After watching the latest season of Curb Your Enthusiasm though I realised that my friend probably *foisted* the machine on me.

Firstly, the interface can be quite annoying. All types of combinations **that you legitimately will want to use** result in an uninformative error code.

On the plus side it is quiet, but on the downside it takes forever to do a cycle. My old machine used to finish in half the time.

Despite having millions of buttons, it's missing basic features that we had in the 80s, such as a half-load setting. Also, for the life of me I can't get it to do specific things like spin the clothes without going through a wash cycle. (Yes, it has a spin button - no it doesn't work). After the sixth or seventh time setting the machine up to do something slightly out of the ordinary, and coming back to a pile of wet and/or dirty laundry, I gave up and decide to get a new machine. But not before posting a negative review!

main selector dial is so easy to follow but the real bonus is the selection of options to tailor each program to the type of wash you require; water temperature, cycle duration and spin speed are all adjustable. No need to wait hours for a load to finish unlike other machines and it was just so whisper quiet that I actually sat in front of my very first was to make sure it was working. No more water hammer and house shuddering like we experienced with our clunky old top loader.

Okay and the best part is " IT WASHES SUPERBLY EVERY TIME". What a time saver, not having to pre-soak or scrub stained collars & underarms. My laundry detergent hasn't changed either in case you're wondering dear reader.

Another great feature of the Electrolux washer EWF14922 is the garment refresh which gives your outfit a quick burst of steam to refresh and remove body odours before wearing again; just want to add an extra item to your load? No problem, just pause and resume the wash once that troublesome sock has been added.

Quite simply, the BEST washing machine I've used. We opted for the extended warranty but at this stage, I don't think it will be needed. Great machine without the hefty high-end price tag. 5 Stars.

a 9kg machine means I can empty our dirty laundry basket in just a couple of loads, and I also love the fact we can fit our doonas into it and no longer have to take them to a laundromat. If there's one feature I miss that our Samsung did have, it's a half load cycle - which we didn't use very often, but it was still nice to have the option. I'm being picky here, but if there's one other thing I would change it would be to have the plug for the external drain a little bit higher as it is hard to get a container under it when doing a routine maintenance drain - which you should do with all front load washers. Oh and I almost forgot to mention you can open the door after you start the machine to add the sock you've dropped along the way, for the first few minutes of the cycle.

Confused – Only one tap connection on cold water!! Mainly wash in cold but do like to run the machine on hot to clean drum. Can this be explained to me. Does the machine heat its own water or has the hot water hose not been packed? Am at a loss, please explain. Thank you.  Show details

Terrible Washing Machine – We bought this washing machine and it only lasted 17 months and it had to be replaced because the cement block broke and ruined many of the other parts. Really bad quality, never buying Electrolux products again! I had a terrible time trying to get the extended warranty to get it fixed and then replaced, that's another story!  Show details

Great Machine, while it works – We really loved the machine since day one, but 3 years in service and now we are stuck without a washer again. We washed our last load on the weekend, and the machine malfunctioned when trying to start a new load. No error codes means no clue what is wrong with it. Calling customer service - I hope you have time and money.

I was told by the "Support Centre" that they cannot give support over the phone and want me to pay $145 for a technician to come out, and then I don't even know what the cost will be afterwards? By the end of the time I could have been a couple of hundred dollars short of a new machine?

This is the second Electrolux home appliance failing on me in the last 6 months out of the blue.

I guess Electrolux aren't using proper electronic components anymore, so I will be spending my money elsewhere.

The washing machine doesn't ruin my clothes – So far most of the stain on my clothes comes off without me pre-scrubbing. I just put everything in at the same time. My favourite feature is the steam setting. Sometimes you don't really need to wash that one piece of clothes you wore for one hour but you still want to kill germs and make it fresh.

Only downside, some of the settings takes 2 to 3 hours to finish the cycle. However it does have 18 mins quick wash setting.

Good washing machine – The washing machine worked for us. It takes 2.25 hours to do a mix load though. I felt it was too long but our previous one takes that long as well, so I don't know if it's a good thing or not. It washes our clothes clean and it's quiet. our previous one jumps around like it has a mind on its own! I like that it has a beep that tells you when it's finished. We're upstairs so it was a very handy feature.

Perfect machine – A great 9 kg front loader machine with a variety of programmes that suit a small family. It is economical in power and water usage. I am happy. I have an Electrolux carpet cleaner I had just bought and happy with that. I am yet to find out how it treats my clothes as had to dry before the fire on occasions.

Great front loader for our small family – Only had this washing machine for a few months but pretty happy with it so far. 4months old and it leaks water out all over the floor – Not happy at all. Our machine leaked water out all over the floor, whilst the machine was on I looked underneath with a torch and it's just like a tap running. Good and reliable machine, easy to use and washes well and gentle on clothes – Not overly noisy. Be able to reopen the door for those last minute or dropped items is an awesome feature. Reasonable noise levels. Qualiry of washing is dependent on quality of detergent. Gentle on clothes but again depends on cycle used. Great machine, highly recommended – Love the delicate cycle, clothes are cleaned gently and very clean. After the spin cycle, they don't take long to dry. The longer cycle for sheets and doona covers is excellent. Very easy to use and many different cycles to chose from. Cannot fault this machine. what you're doing you don't notice the screen is crashed a code will come up but you got to find your own way to get the code because it does not or Electrolux tell you how to get the code

Love this machine...works like a boss! – I've owned this machine about 8 months now and have not had any problems with it. We are a family of six and I do at least 2 loads a day. Terrible! Don't buy. Worst washing machine I have ever purchased! – Machine is 4 months old. Ruined my linen and towels. Won't drain fully. Clothes are always drenched. White clothes come out grey. Machine okay, but have an issue with it – The machine is quiet, and works well. However my issue is at the end of the wash the powder compartment is always full of water. write a report so we could get our new machine! We had stressed to them that we had a newborn and a 7 year old, plus we live in a small country town that has no laundromat, 35 minutes from a main town.... they promised they'd have the report done within a few days which did not happen!

We ended up getting Electrolux again, mainly because there were too many brands to choose from and because we already knew how it operated.

The other day, some of the smaller garments came out with grease all over them. Wasn't very impressed with that!

It is however a very quiet machine so that is a positive.

I'm not sure if I'd go with Electrolux for a 3rd time but only time will tell.

LOVE IT! – This machine has every cycle I need from a quick 18 min to 5 hrs. I love that I can adjust each cycle to my own time limits by adjusting the spin cycle or time cycle. options to suit. It has a steam cycle, a wool cycle, a bed linen cycle as well as the usual front loading options. It washes well, is great all round and is easy to clean inside and out. The only thing that has gone wrong with it, from the start, is that I have had to giggle the door lock around before it clicks in, which my warranty will cover. I have had the machine for nearly 3 years and I would buy another one without hesitation.

Great family machine – Great clean and rinse with loads of options to customise cycles from wash time to spin speed. Great washing machine – This machine is great but you must read the instruction booklet first. Lots of programs to choose from and I like that it has a quick and favourite program. If the beeps are annoying you can disengage the beeping. Clothes clean very well and whites are white but this depends on your wash powder as well. a few weeks. Until it started all over again with even more issues. So with e-10 happening every few minutes on top of that it now pause at any random time and I don't realise til I go check on it. It makes the 18min wash into a marathon. On top of this miss I have to manually clean out the pump filter (never had to on previous machines) and even worse is the pump filter is in a spot so low that it spills straight onto the floor. This is thee worst product I have ever ever purchased. It blows my mind that a product like this even exists.

Pretty goood, but not 100% happy – Overall I'm quite happy with this machine, it washes our clothes quite well but there's a few petty things I don't love. while it's going so little people can change the settings and turn it off which is a hassle, and I'm a bit disappointed about that because I wanted a machine that I could stop my kids fiddling with. Being able to set a favourite cycle is useful though, and it's very quiet. All up I'm quite happy, but there's a few things I'd change if I could.

Audible warning beep – When it has finished its cycle it lets out 15 very piercing beeps that are air piercing loud and infuriating other than that it seems ok but if your laundry is within air shot bear this in mind.  Show details

Bad product – We bought one as a new replacement from the old machine . straight from the box , the drum doesn't want to spin. This machine is a worry , I regret buying Electrolux. Especially after reading people who reviewed earlier , I could imagine there will be lots of trouble from now on .

only been in the house 3 days and reading some of the reviews here I am sure it is only a matter of time before I have mechanical issues. My disappointment stems from the utter frustration I have with the programmes and the complete lack of flexibility around being able to adjust the time and spin speed to what I want. My old machine allowed me a full range of spin speeds and timing functions but this one has only 2 programmes that allow me to choose the top spin speed of 1400 rpm, both of these programmes are over an hour long.....seriously Electrolux what the F..K!!!! I need my towels spun out at 1400rpm but they need no more than a 30 to 40 min wash. The quick wash function is only 18mins which sounds great until I actually realise my items are only going to be spun at 800rpm, that is a programme I will never use. In New Zealand this machine retails for just on $2200 and if I had paid that I would be sending the P.O.S straight back to where it came from. I hate this machine with a passion with its queer restrictive programming and its swimming pool of water left in the rubber seal at the end of each wash. The only good things I have to say is at this present point it is relatively quiet and most importantly I did not pay for it!!!
