Since making a reasonable deposit for a system i have basically had zero contact from these people. I had to call and get confirmation of receipt of funds and request a receipt.
No updates at all as to the progress of the system install. I've had to contact synergy and western power myself today to try and figure out if applications have been made to the appropriate providers. I'm not sure if I've been duped as yet??? Very poor communication from the start. ZERO INFORMATION.

Good setup for solar and battery
Works well however take care on the size of battery as too small and you are still paying for high feed in tariffs. Also if you have an existing solar array any new solar plus battery seems not to include the existing solar as input into the battery.

Very happy with all aspects of installation and support service
The information given and workmanship involved with the installation of our panels was all we could have wanted. We were informed at the outset of an extra cost involved due to our particular situation and every effort was made to reduce this cost.
A problem arose a couple of months after installation due to power surge in grid. Energy matters immediately notified our supplier and the problem was solved on the same day.

Good Up Front Sales and Installation - Poor After Sales
I had no problems with this company in terms of the sales itself and the installation, although my wireless receiver had to be installed twice, however the after sales service once my inverter had issues was almost non-existent. The website contact page crashed 3 times and the phone calls went directly to voicemail. The website states "Rock Solid Warranty" which may be the case but only if you can actually contact them
UPDATE: I have had my warranty claim now settled in part. Only action I got was contacting the company that bought out the ori...
Awesome job, awesome customer service, awesome products.
Nearly five years ago we had 20 x 250w REC solar panels (5kw system) installed with an Aurora inverter installed by energy matters.
The original sales team in Launceston were very professional and informative and helpful fully explaining all costs associated with the purchase and install and also explained the costs by the electricity supplier.
As I do a lot of homework on most things I buy, I decided on using REC solar panels with the full knowledge that they were a premium product and wouldn't be as cheap as some of the budget deals on tv t...
Too Expensive and did not honour their promise!!!!!
I recently installed solar panel from energy matters and was very disappointed firstly they charged me nearly double the amount for solar, Secondly they that did not honour the promise when they sold me the panels. At the time of sales they informed me that I will have all the relevant components that's required and I will not require to purchase or pay anything extra other than the smart meter, now after paying nearly double for solar system compared to what other providers charge they want me to pay them more for getting the monitoring enable...d for checking how much electricity feed back to grid. Its a total rip off and feel very helpless and frustrated. I waited for nearly 2 months and they are want more and more money. I requested the support team to go back and check the sales recording what was promised and still haven't heard anything back from them. Raj - QLD
Long delays for connection
The installation of our solar energy was efficient and fast. I wish I could say the same for the connection by the distributor. It took over two months rather than the suggested 20 days so we lost a month and a half of use. The retailer will backdate use to the date the distributor connected but not before. Is there no remedy for this tardiness.
Costs After Installation
Was don't advised properly of after installation costs.
Was harassed by an overseas call centre.
Don't want their solar panels on my roofs, as if we knew about the costs after installation we would have not have them installed. Energy matters will not remove them.
Keep away from this company. Buyer beware.
April 28th, 2017 Update: Solar System That Has Not Worked Properly Since Install.
Buyer beware, this company has installed a seven thousand dollar system on my roof that has not worked since install.
1; was not advised of cross over cost. Was advised by a Manager of Energy matter that they would pay half. Have not seen a cent.
2; was harassed by an overseas call centre (What an absolute disgrace). ...
Well worth the investment
Energy Matters assessed our requirements in terms of number of solar panels; gave us a quote and, after our acceptance, installed and connected everything at the agreed time with no hassles. The inspector who authorized the "switch on" commented on the neat and professional workmanship. I do keep getting messages wanting me to install a battery but I ignore these as I don't believe it is cost effective
Questions & Answers
Can anyone advise on service received from the company based in Menai?
I don't know about a company based in Menai.
My experience was:
15 Solar panels installed after negotiations and payment to Energy Matters.
The first meter malfunctioned and was replaced.our then providor 's accounts showed feed to the grid. November 2017 we changed providor to Energy Australia.we did not receive our 'delayed Account' until March.this showed no feed to the Gris since November. Almost a month later we are still trying to get proof whether the meter is faulty or the solar installation is faulty......we need this problem fixed and we are no nearer as at 16 April 2018. Does a 7Kw solar system without battery cost $18,600.00+ to install?
For reference, my 5KW system was just over $10,000 to install high-quality monocrystalline panels. Without knowing the panel type, where they will be installed or the site specifics it is difficult to give you a definitive answer, but over $18,600 does seem a like a high quote if the panels are just being installed on an ordinary suburban roof.
