Couldn’t come any more highly recommended
Been doing a lot of research into getting a new provider as I refuse to keep feeding these money hungry companies like O***s and T*****a. Jumped on the epic website and opened the online chat and spoke with James who answered all of my annoying questions and was very informative, decided to take the leap and signed up and before I knew it I was online. After a quick reconfiguration of my wireless router and I was set, speeds are great and my family can all use the net at the same time for all kinds of different streaming at the one time with no issues. I don’t like to share my little discoveries like this one but I think everyone should try out Epic broadband.

EPIC speeds from an EPIC provider
Epic support agents are my new best friends, I had some issues with connecting my modem (turns out I was using the wrong cable) James was so friendly and so patient with me while helping me set up my modem. Strongly recommend epic if you are looking for a breath of fresh air with these providers.

Great experience and no problems
Wanted to look for a provider that was going to stop ripping me off and actually care for their customers, contacted an online from epic who walked me through the whole process. I asked what would be the best plan for myself and explained a little about what I will use the internet for and the agent suggested I don’t go with the bigger plan I was looking at as I t would be a waste due to the small amount of usage I go through, that alone sold me on epic broadband because an honest opinion is very hard to come by in this day and age. Thank you Epic, you guys have made me, one very happy granny

Much better support then my old provider
When I joined support agent was very kind and helped me with the sign up steps.
I moved from ABB and the service is much better, very happy with this company so far.
Just Terrible
Everything from the setup (waited over a month) to the customer service (disconnected phone line) and staff (tech support is a founder and full of attitude) is appalling. We all sign up for the same reason.. price. And they’ll charge you despite no internet and no one to talk to about it. These guys suck and basically decided to start a business without any real plan.

A++++ for customer support
These guys are awesome, I got the email to say I was active but needed to configure my own BYO modem but have no idea how these things work so I jumped on the online chat looking for a bit of assistance and spoke with an agent who booked in a screen share session and they jumped on and configured the mode in under 1 minute and I was active an online straight away. Top job Epic broadband ill be recommending you guys to all my friends and family.

Most patience customer service ever!
As per normal, the Australian NBN service took it's sweet time to activate my new service, and the Epic customer support staff were amazing. They constantly checked for other underlying issues and rang the NBN to chase my order. Then once it was all processed the net still wouldn't work. It was my first time using a NBN white box. The most paitence Epic customer service person sat with me trying to get the net working and it turned out it was me trying to colour co-ordinate the yellow cable with the yellow sockets on the modem! ha ha! Speeds are what are advertised. I am so happy to have a budget internet that I can afford as a Uni student. It's worth it, if you want to save some money.

Disappointed
Paid full month and fees, then I paid for a modem. Still nothing, no response from my emails or no phone line to get in touch with, absolutely disappointed with Epic. Only reason I joined was to support smaller Independent communication companies, being i’m a small business owner myself.

Transfer to Epic Broadband was an epic fail
I requested for a churn from my current ISP to Epic last Friday. I received an email saying the transfer had been initiated at 9am. I was told it would be completed by midday. By the end of Friday, I was still with my previous ISP and was told via chat (which I had to intiate) that it would definitely be completed by the next day. Come the next day and nothing happened. Its now 3 days since the churn supposedly started but its still not connected. I have canceled my account with Epic and will go to another ISP with better customer service and efficiency. Its a shame as Epic has good pricing, but it doesnt offset crap service. Phone don't work, chat support is slow and I don't get a reply with SMS's. I wouldn't bother.

Don’t waste your time and money
Don’t waste your time and money with epic broadband.I signed up initially on the NBN25 plan.
It constantly dropped out and was so intermittent that Netflix wouldn’t even load.
I tried to rectify the problem but they were quite unhelpful. Firstly telling me to check the settings (which were correct) and then they said that the speed test I was using was not comparable with their service.
I increased to the NBN50 plan to try to increase the internet speeds but it was still so intermittent that programs would not load.
They admitted that it was a fault at there end via email but then offered $0.67 compensation.
They took and would not refund the time I had the bad service PLUS 30 day cancellation fee.
Feel ripped off buy the whole process

Hi Ned, we advised that there was a line fault, and we booked an appointment with NBN to come and resolve your issues. Unfortunately we have NO control over the NBN network, we DO try our best to advo...
Read morecate on behalf of NBN to get issues resolved as soon as possible, but in some instances this does take a bit of time. This must be a generic response as it has absolutely nothing to do with my actual account. I was told that everything was good at your end and that I needed to check my settings and use a different speed test.
Not great - find someone else
Firstly they sent me other people’s invoices.
Secondly customer service is terrible. Can never get someone to answer the phone.
Lastly, it constantly disconnects and drops out. I got a modem from them too and my unit is tiny so it should reach everything. Seriously find somewhere else, price is tempting but not worth it at all.

Hi Lily,
The modem you have is a very basic modem, and we have advised that for better coverage it's best to take the Home Hub Pro (TP Link Archer VR1600v)...

solid ISP with great support and staff
I called Epic to get signed up to a 50mbps plan.
They set me up on chat and was good to go.
I've experienced fast internet that's I'm happy with. Support is great as well. Very helpful staff that spoke to me on the phone.

So far so good
I signed up with Epic 17/2/21 to transfer an active NBN FTTC service from another service provider across to Epic. I signed up around 2pm. After signing up using their website, I received a text and email straight away to acknowledge my order. Around 4pm that day, I received another text saying that my order had been accepted and is with their provisioning team. The text also provided my member number. I contacted their online support around 7pm that night to ask for a timeframe for the transfer. The online consultant responded to me within ab...
Read moreout 5 mins, and although wasn't able to provide a timeframe, he clearly explained the process of how the sign up process work and was generally helpful. The next day on 18/2/21, around 10pm, I received a text and email saying that my Epic NBN service was now active and the email contained my PPOE username and password. I used my Belong modem and there was no issues with configuring my own modem. It was just a matter of reading my user manual to find out how to access the settings (I had to make sure my modem wasn't connected anything to access the settings). I configured my modem in about 10 minutes and my internet access has been good so far. It was a seamless transition from my perspective. Apart from the 10 mins it took to set up the new modem, there was no period where I had no internet access. My first bill was also emailed to me around the same time that I got my text saying that my internet service was active. My NBN service with my previous provider was 25/5, which is the same as what I signed up for with Epic. As a comparison, I haven't noticed any big difference. Previously, my day time internet speed (while working from home) was around 20-22Mbs upload and 2-3Mbs download, and the evening speed was around 21-22Mbs upload and 3-4Mbs download. I'm now getting with Epic day speed of around 20-21 Mbs download and 2-3 Mbs upload, and evening speed of around 21-23 Mbs download and 2-3Mbs upload. I've found this sufficient for 2 people to do MS Teams video meetings from home at the same time during the day and to stream videos at night. I'm in Hawthorn Victoria.1 comment

Please stay away from this provider if you value your time and money.
Cons:
1) They dont inform you about the upfront fee and will charge you Pro rata and the full amount for the upcoming month, even before making sure that you can actually go online.
2) My connection didn't work, even after spending time with their support for 2 days (Please note that they are never available on phone and only via chat) and when I asked them to cancel, they told me there is a one month notice period for a connection that never worked and charged me for a month.
3) Dont be surprised if you get different messages from different pe...

Hi Manesh, we definitely do inform our customers about upfront fees, when signing up for a service it clearly states we bill in Pro-Rata + First Month, this is because we are billed by our upstream ca...
Read morerriers in the same way and we must pay our upstream carriers to deliver a service to you. As for your service Never working, it came down to you not being able to configure your modem, in this case we always suggest the next step is to purchase a pre-configured modem from us to resolve the issue, or organize for your own on-site technical support from a local computer repair company to assist.Hey Andrew,
Thanks for taking time to reply to my review. I really wish I'd got such a prompt response when I was struggling to get in touch with you guys to resolve the issue with my connection. ...
Read more Regarding the upfront fee, could you please confirm the mode of communication as I wasn't informed about it in any communication I had with you guys until I was billed (not over the phone, or via emails, or by support's chat). Also there are a few other reviews in the same thread where customers have mentioned the same point, so it might be a good idea to have that communication sorted going forward. Regarding the modem, during the 2 days I spent with Epic's support, sending them photos after photos of our modem, they confirmed that the modem configuration was not the issue instead they were saying something about configuration on their end. Please note, this is not the first time we are configuring a modem and we work in the IT field enough to know the basics of modems and networking technology. I understand the part where you guys are not able to cancel and refund just based on a request, however, the way how I see it is that I paid a month's bill, and wasted 2 days of my time with your support apart from losing 2 days of work due to no internet connection. Not to mention the hours I spent trying to get someone from epic on a call. So while I understand your cost for upstream carriers, I am not very sure if I understand why I ended up paying for it. I do not wish to spend more time on this, however if you want to take this as a feedback and put processes in place to make improvements for your future customers, please do.Find out how Epic Broadband Home Plan compares to other Internet Service Providers

Avoid if you are looking for a good service
After reading a great review on finder I signed up to epic broadband. In the time since I have signed up to these guys all I have had is connection issues. My tv would say was connected but didn’t work, the service on my mobile and laptop kept dropping out daily and ultimately I’ve been paying for a service I have not received. I have now made a complaint that is sitting with the ombudsman for a refund and I have moved over to another provider. All Epic give you is Internet that keeps dropping out with no ability to sort it out as they have no...
Read more phone support to help their customers. I tried the online chat which dosnt work when you need to configure a modem (which by the way as part of me signing up they never gave me the email address and password that is required to configure the modem) When you email them they just either don’t respond or tell you to just reset the modem or there isn’t anything else they can do. Just because you BYO modem and it’s low cost does not make it acceptable to provide no service. One of the people I was chatting to told me they was pretty sure it was an Ip issue - it had nothing to do with my byo modem which works perfectly with other providers. Stay away from these guys if you want drama free internet.. I’ve noticed finder have changed there review aswell but I’m disappointed that they made such a bad service sounds so wonderful. Do your research before signing up with these guys and you will see for yourself. Really disappointed with both epic and finder..1 comment

Hi Jessica,
In these circumstances the problems you are explaining are usually caused by our older IPoE network, we have an entirely new network that operates under PPPoE and our suggestion would be to get in touch to move across to this network.
This ISP I am absolutely blown away By
I Don't ever post reviews about anything, but this Company has Blown me away with their service.
I requested a call on their online chat since their phone number for support is currently under maintenance. I had the call come in after 5 minutes and got setup with my Router.
These are my results and I am absolutely Blown away. I play many games with a ping of under 5MS, download plenty of things, and the speed has been so fast with no dropouts.
The Support staff are Local Australian Staff and not off shored..To me that is priceless.

Can not fault
Signed up last night about 5:30 pm, was told by a sales rep Sal that connection will be a few hours. I’m on FTTC and I have had issues before with a new connection taking days so I was sceptical of the “few hours”.
8:15ish pm comes around I get a text message and email saying my service is active so I went through the easy to follow steps to configure my router and boom! I’m online.
First thing I do is run a speed test and I was blown away at the result, 96.03 down and 37.03 up ping at 8ms. Best result iv ever seen from an ISP.
Thanks Epic broadband, I’ll be sticking around for a while I think.
