Mixed up my credit report
Applied for a home loan and used Equifax as the reporting agency. Somehow merged my brother's account and mine together. We have the same birthday but different year and same first initial. The report came back with all our details merged into one file..
My details such as driver's license and employment history are all wrong, even got my brother to apply for a credit report and they sent him my file.
Submitted a corrections request, then the ticket is not found, numerous phone calls and all i get are escalations to different departments..
Class action needs to be taken out against equifax
This organization is nothing but fraudulent scammers, you can pay for their service which monitors your credit file, however when there is something incorrect on your file and you lodge a correction they wont do it. They cant even ensure the information on your file is correct. These fools have the incorrect drivers license on my file, incorrect address and cant even spell my employers name correctly. I have lodged to complaint against them and have received no response. My personal details and everything is correct on other credit reporting agencies. A class action needs to be taken against this firm. 0 star rating
A lot of outdated information. I requested correction and they said it wouldn't take longer than 30 days to fix it but I have been waiting for more than 2 months and nothing. The worse company ever.
This is a scam
I was told by DODO that I have bad credit from Equifax. I requested Equifax for my free credit score to check up and soon I received a call from a credit repair company. I never got my report and am still waiting for Equifax to get back to me with an explanation. I believe they need to be investigated by ombudsman.
Having a credit report of someone else pointing to my wife's identifier. A matter of privacy breach from Equifax.
My rate is actually -5 star.
Equifax gives the bank a credit report of someone else with mortgage pointing to my wife's identifier. So the bank does not give the loan.
This is a matter of a privacy breach for the unlucky person whose personal credit information has been revealed to us. Bad credit report company.
6 week refund, still waiting
I tried to do a car history report with equifax and came back with no answers, was promised refund withing 1 week, then next day, then 21 business days, then next day, then 3 days, then back to 21 business days, then not sure.. After 15 or more phone calls and more emails 6 weeks later i am still waiting for my refund..So angry
Currently in the process of obtaing my credit report, have called up cust service every day for the last week all I get is the run around. Staff need to be better trained as every person I've spoken to have conflicting Information!
Come back Veda!!
I used to have an annual subscription with Veda, which gave me emailed alerts whenever my credit file was access and a full emailed credit file report once per year. When Equifax took over... they said the service was no longer available and put me on a $6 per month plan... and I have received nothing since ?!?!. No credit file, no alerts (I have arrange at least 2 new credit items since)... they continue to debit my account the $6 every month and give no product or service in return. I’m
Leaving this review after the final straw this morning.....
I wish there was a way to rate someone negative 5 stars.
I applied for credit from my bank who use Equifax for their credit checks. I was declined and nobody could tell me why, my score is between 500 and 600 and the only negative marks against my report are 3 enquiries over the past 2 years when making enquiries with lenders about what interest rate they could offer me for a loan. This company does not provide customer service in any capacity, refused to look at my financial history in depth as they used an automated algorithm to determine my score. If they had considered my history properly they wo...uld have seen that I have no unbecoming marks against my name and that I should have been eligible for credit. Disgusted that my bank are using these people for credit checks and I hope they realise sooner rather than later that this company is going to cost them millions in lost revenue.
Couldn't be any more poorly put together
As an employer if you want to put in place the biggest barrier to entry for attracting the best possible candidates for your organisation then use Equifax eCredentialing. It has huge problems for any user trying to create an account. Getting into your account if you have been lucky enough to be able to create one is almost impossible. If you are able to log in the process a candidate has to complete is so cumbersome and glitchy most quality candidates will simply be so frustrated they will give up and decide they want to work for an organisation that is better managed than to have chosen such a foolish piece of technology to use.
The worest credit services ever
I had annual subscription with them, they started doing monthly subscribe only, and after my annual subscription is expired, I called them to renew it, but they said we are sorry, we have to cancel your account and create new one, I said that's fine!!! they did and got new account with no records, so I lost all my old records, no i have data or no information in my account with them!!, except my credit score and that's it!!!
Worst company I have ever dealt with!!!
If I could give them a negative rating I would. Most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my life, I guess that's what you get for having a call centre that is based in the Philippines. I think I have spoken to half a dozen reps now and not one of them can understand a thing I am trying to say. The situation is that a default was placed on my credit report in error, the other two credit agencies have had no issues removing the default having received confirmation from the creditor that the default was an error. However, the default sti...ll remains on my equifax report. Everytime I ring the call centre I get the same response we have not received confirmation of this from Origin. I'm pretty sure Origin would have notified them otherwise the other two credit agencies wouldnt have removed the default. Seriously the issue lies with Equifax, even though they're trying to blame Origin (origin have been nothing but helpful). The Australian government needs to do something about them!!! Why have we even got such a company dealing with our most private and personal information when they cant even control what information gets sent to them?
Absolutely Incompetent - Ask for every possible detail under the sun and provide nothing in return. It's that simple!!! They clearly have not ever heard of customer service. If you can go elsewhere.
Since 2013, this company that was re branded from Veda to Equifax, has deducted funds from my account. I was unaware that when I purchased a credit report in 2013 that they would deduct that amount every year unless I opted out. The ACCC recently took this company to court for its unconscionable conduct. On the 2 Oct 2018 Equifax received a penalty of $3.5 million for misleading and deceptive conduct and unconscionable conduct. So one would think they would stop all 'subscriptions' that were obtained in an unconscionable manner. But no, two ded...uctions on my account occurred after this decision, the most recent was December 2018. They asked me to provide evidence that I had cancelled my 'subscription' knowing full well about their recent court penalty. I wonder how many other people are still having funds deducted from their accounts.
Equifax - no equality
My credit score with two other CRA is rated mid 700 to 800, One would think that applying for a car loan would be easy. Far from it. Equifax have given me a low 500. When i ask the question as to why, I get the run around. I get emails sent to me requesting details as to my identity after I have previously rang them and they established my identity obver the phone. . the majority of lenders including 2nd tier lenders are contracted to Equifax. Guess what , unable to get a simple loan due to the Eqifax score . lenders will not look at the ot...her two CRA credit scores. The other issue relates to enquiries, each time a person makes an enquiiry about a loan , it is reported on the credit file and if to many enquireis the credit score is reduced. I find that going through a Broker for a loan wil impact on the credit score, they make several enqiries through their panel of lenders and bingo, they all get recorded . Equifax should be made to justify how they calculate credit scores, simly put they will destroy consumer confidence and we will finish up with a class of society unable to get finance because of some alogorithm calculation. Its an absolute joke
