Unethical, Unprofessional & Purposely Non-Communicative – In early February 2022, I inspected 16 Pelican Street, Slade Point placing an offer in writing of $155k on the property on 5th February 2022 after being told the previous contract had fallen through because of termites. I was told to place my offer in writing including deposit etc. On 10th February I had received no reply whatsoever from Explore Property Mackay despite making phone calls to them and emailing them. I was told one of the owners lived remotely as their excuse for not responding. Where exactly were they? The South Pole? Frustrated, I phoned the property owner/vendor twice which finally prompted Explore Property Mackay to email me the REIQ contract on 18th February which I signed on 20th February. There was no mention of how to pay the $1k deposit to Expore Property Mackay but the contract said to pay within 2 business days of the contract date but there was of course no contract date on the REIQ contract. Finally, today on 23rd February 2022, I received a forwarded email from the vendor to Explore Property Mackay thanking them for putting forward the “offers”. What the??? I had already signed the contract! Sadly, if a property is listed for sale by Explore Property Mackay, it’s a poison peach hanging in the tree. Let it fall & be eaten by another lest you die from the toxic handling of it.
