Do not buy from this place. If you do, keep your expectations very low. Their stuff sucks and it's a hassle trying to sort it. I bought two and i had to get a refund after WEEKS. Not to add the fact that the customer service was the worst.
Horrible Service - GO ELSEWHERE!
Ordered on 6th APR 2021, nil updates on website. Emailed them asking what is happining and was greeted with the generic "we have escalated your concern..."
Looking at other reviews, EyeBuyDirect blames delays on Pandemic which in all honesty is a complete load.
Last email stated I will have them on or before the 26th APR 2021, if I have not received them I will be requesting a refund via the ACCC.
Great, excellent, satisfying eyeglasses from eyebuydirect.
Quality eyeglasses, very cheap and fast delivery. I bought 3 eyeglasses -2 for myself and 1 for hubby. Very satisfied and their customer service was wonderful . Bought a very stylish eyeglasses( on sale) with premium progressive lenses as well as photochcromic lenses( transition lenses) all at Au $160+++ only. I did the math per eyeglasses with premium progressive lenses and transition lenses will cost you over $700 -$1000+++ all in, if I were to buy other stores.
Good service, decent products
I know there are some negative service reviews on here, but I had the opposite experience. First pair ordered and arrived within a few days, however, I did not like the style. Quoting their return policy to them I was offered a replacement and only charged the difference. The second pair took longer to arrive (couple weeks). The quality of both thee glasses are alright, both frames seemed to have a dry film coating on them, but for the price it is fine.
DON’T IGNORE THE POOR REVIEWS
I unwittingly made an order for a pair of glasses on the 6th of February as I’m (still!) in desperate need of new glasses and thought I’d give EyeBuyDirect a chance having never ordered from there before. I was sucked in by the claims of the order fulfilment being 14 days at most.
After ordering I came to this site and read a lot of unfavourable reviews. I thought I’d be the lucky one but I’m definitely not.
It’s the 20th of March and the last communication I received was on the 12th of February saying my order is aLmoSt rEady....
Just go ...to a real optometrist, don’t try to scrimp and save, don’t believe their claims of a quick turnaround. It’s simply not true, and if like me your current pair of glasses are broken and you desperately need a new pair, don’t risk it with this place :)
Products not bad but service is abysmal!
Placed my order with an applied discount code however when payment went through the code has disappeared. Emailed straight away and happily received an email apologising for the glitch and a partial refund would be processed within 3-5 working days for the difference.
Compared to others my 3 week wait for my glasses wasn’t too bad, in which time I emailed several times chasing my refund - each time receiving a copy and paste response saying the matter had been escalated to the accounting department and I would here back shortly.
My order is n...ow complete and my last email has now gone without reply for the past 2 days, I’m concerned my refund will never happen as the order is closed! I would appreciate a response from EyeBuyDirect ASAP confirming my refund has/will be processed as a matter of urgency. Order number AU51790632.
Glasses was damaged so had to order a pair urgently. Friend recommended Eyebuydirect with 7-14 days delivery.
Placed order on the 15.
It's now 4 March.
I got no glasses.
All emails requesting update been ignored but funny enough, I get daily 'get these frames for free' spam from them.
First and last time I'm ordering from them.

I ordered two pairs of glasses and specifically asked them to use the same script and details of my previous order but that didn't match.
I can read with but can't work on a computer with as the focusing distance is too short.
The previous order was fine (although they sent me the wrong size first) and I don't know why they couldn't match the details this time despite the fact I mentioned it not once but twice while orderinh.
Also it took ages for me to get the glasses and they're obviously cut them in china.
Not happy and although they are cheap and look great I'd rather pay more, buy local and have glasses I can use and wish I gave the money to charity instead
Ordered glasses and arrived 14 days later. Love the style, fit, lenses. What costs $200 at an Aust Optometrist cost $40 from Eyebuydirect. Fast delivery. Only downside is cannot claim from health fund as seller is based overseas.
Do NOT waste your money you will be told different reasons to as why your glasses haven't arrived yet. Then you will be told it's at the "lab" then told it's on it's way then told oh sorry we didn't get your payment when thank GOD I had proof and top of that try to add a few more dollars for you to pay. For God's sake people are struggling enough and these idiots just scam people. You will not get it in 7 days it's been over a month and still nothing just excuses. Go to your local optometrist guys. Will be taking this further because this has to stop and preying on innocent people is disgusting and karma will come knocking. Disgusting scamming company. If I could give no stars I would.
Excellent pricing with great quality glasses.
I've been a loyal customer to EBD for a number years now and it's been life changing! I have a strong script, so getting glasses at my local optometrists is quite an expensive affair.
They have a great selection of frames and lenses, and the online try on feature works pretty well too. They really do stand by their 14 day return policy as I've sent back glasses for a refund with no questions asked. I've had replacements sent out to me with no issues as well when I've had issues with the frames. They're owned by Essilor which is a massive Fren...ch Optics company, so I have some faith on the quality of lenses that they produce. I notice some of the reviewers complaining about poor quality and delivery times. I've gotten a pair of stylish prescription sunnies for $80, when something similar would cost me $600+ at a local optometrist. At that price point I'm happy to deal with extended delivery times. It takes 3 weeks to get lenses in at a local shop as well, so it makes no difference. Admittedly some of the cheaper frames haven't been the best quality however they have a 1 year warranty as well, so well worth the money. Customer service has always been on point whenever I've raised an issue. Keep an eye out for coupons as they regularly give out discounts too. I don't generally write reviews but this is one of those companies that you just have to write a review for. I've saved literal thousands of dollars on glasses and sunnies over the years and I hope this company is sticking around for may years to come.

Website says 7-14 business days for shipping, 2 months now and still not received my order.
Let down big time!
I ordered prescription glasses and sunglasses on the 20th October, they advertise 7-14 days... 14 days later no glasses. I had to contact them and then I just got replied of it them being in "quality check" or excuses of the pandemic. I understand if it was a delay with shipping but my glasses had clearly not made it to that stage.... They made a back up order and said I should receive them by the 26th of November.. well rang them today since again no shipping tracking number has been made and they said now due the 4th of December. Requested a ...refund since again no shipping tracking number and I need glasses and I don't want to take the risk of them not arriving soon. A month and half is too long to wait. I am really disappointed as I have order before a few years ago and no issue. 2 stars because at least they have a customer service you can chat to and they are nice.
Didnt receive my order and refund!
You just lost a loyal customer! I have used eyebuydirect from 2018 and been recommending it to my family and friends. The first 5 orders are went smoothly.
This time round, I waited for a month for my item to be shipped (I understand it is covid time and have asked them prior to purchase which they said no issue/delay despite the current situation which was a lie).
They cannot update me the status of my order, keep saying in 3 business days, in 48 business hours etc.. it all sounds like an automated response! My glasses have been at the last ...stage of quality check for more than 3 weeks and when I asked if my glasses have been really made or not, they cannot tell me. They ended up offered me a backup pair instead as their solution, which I need to wait for another 14 business days if I opt for it. At the end, I asked for a refund since I need my prescription glassess urgently and cannot wait anymore for something uncertain, I have not receive my refund! I also lost my EBD credits even though my order is cancelled LOL.
After waiting too long for my glasses they finally arrived. I am pleased to say they are great! Very pleased with the frame and the lenses.
I am really happy with my prescription sunglasses
The polarised prescription Hanoi frame sunglasses I bought seem to be good and came to less than half the price of what I would have paid in a brand store. They also have an option that they donate a pair for the pair that you buy to kids around the world which I thought was a nice touch. Shipping took about 17 business days, so a bit longer than the 14 business days advertised, but not too long.
Placed the order on 25 September 2020. The first problem was that my payment didn't get through to their system and I had to fill out a statement form to authorize the card payment. That was a week being wasted. Now (23 October 2020), another problem is that my order status has been the 'lens cutting & bevel edging' one for more than 2 weeks. I should have taken the bad reviews that have been given by people on this site seriously. At this point, I think I will never get my order.
Cannot be trusted
Placed order on 3rd October. Their website claims 7-14 days delivery. Within days site said order was shipped. That turned out to be wrong. Well 14 days later, order hasn't shipped and according to their website it's either still being completed or shipped. Impossible to tell for certain. Two email enquiries resulted in two replies packed full of excuses claiming that order was in final stage of processing and shipping imminent. Their pricing structure is difficult to understand as each step adds more to the price and they don't tell you anythi...ng about delivery until final stage. The actual pricing depends on an obscure rewards scheme that makes little sense. I will definitely go back to previous supplier after this disaster. I am both disappointed and angry at this stage. Online vendors need to be truthful with their claims.
never had a problem
I have ordered quiet a few pairs of prescription glasses from eyebuydirect. I started with a cheap pair just to check the waters. every pair ive received arrived around 2 weeks after I order which to me is normal consider it takes specsavers and opsm around the same time. I love how on the website you can see what the glasses look like on a photo of yourself plus that fact you can also donate a pair for every pair you buy! I found my new favourite frames!
Do not Order
On the 30th August I placed an order and paid for a pair of eyeglasses. My status had not changed in 20 days ,so an email was sent, No reply. On the 23rd I called and customer service advised, a second pair will be processed and wait another 7 to 14 days. Now the 9 October 2020 and more phone calls ,I am advised a third pair will be processed. This company is incompetent in processing and completing orders and would not recommend .Now to see if I have my money returned or a pair of glasses ever arriving.
Haven't received my order after 14 days
I have placed an order on the 4th of September 2020. My order status have not been updated since. After contacting the customer contact centre, I was advised the order is in quality testing and an update from the logistics department will be requested. I am still waiting to get an status update to my status, starting to doubt if I will and begin to wonder if this company will deliver the paid products. Is this a legitimate company?? I would recommend people rather to visit an optometrist or local store, where you may have the real guarantee of getting your products delivered in less than 14 days.

Once they sent me frames which were larger than stated but they let me keep them and order another pair at no extra cost. They have always been good to deal with
Incredibly disappointing customer care
My initial order was made 6+ weeks ago (11/07/20), upon arrival (26/07/20) the prescription was incorrect and thus proceeded to contact the company for correct order. They helped me reorder this which I appreciated greatly.
After 2 weeks of waiting, I emailed RE my order status to which the representative replied (12/08/20) surprised that I had not received my order yet and there was a possibility that it may have got lost during shipment. I understand that this may sometimes happen's but I didn't believe them because I never received an emai...l with a tracking number (like my previous order) upon shipment. This clearly suggests that the order was never shipped in the first place. They then proceeded with a replacement order which would taker a further 14 days?! Surely any company with a decent customer care team would look to speed up this process given the circumstances, 14 business days is a generic shipping time in, and they could of quite easily prioritized the replacement shipment. I continued to stay in contact through email so my order didn't get lost again, to which a representative informed me (17/08/20) that the glasses will be 'shipped on or before August 22' - quite strange that is a Saturday, not a business day. I decided to put my trust in them that potentially they were helping by shipping on the weekend. Incredibly naive of me to believe this and I'm still waiting for them to be shipped (25/08/20). Despite this, I want to note that all representatives have been polite and professional through email (as have I) and it isn't their fault. Yes, there is a pandemic currently which will inevitably slow shipments I just feel more could have been done internally to speed up and track the process. I'm just disappointed in the company as a whole and for this reason, I decided to make a complaint. If you do decide to purchase from EyeBuyDirect, I really hope you have a better experience with them.

I ordered one pair or glasses with my new prescription. They came very fast - just over two weeks! Glasses are good quality and I am very happy. Would order again!!
