I had cleaned before arrival to ensure that the cleaner would have time to do a thorough clean of the townhouse. The bathroom floors where left with a sticky chalky residue, kitchen sink wasn’t cleaned, no dusting was done, no polishing. Nothing was cleaned besides from the work surfaces.
To be frank, I would have done what this cleaner achieved in two hours rather than the three and a half it took and I’m heavily pregnant.
Did do a good job of the shower and bath themselves. The cleaner was pleasant and kind which is why I give three sta...rs. However, the reviews for this company left me with an expectation that it would be a good thorough clean before baby arrived but I have been left disappointed with work to do myself. Not worth the price charged. Won’t be using this company again.
I used these reviews to choose this company for a once off clean, so thought I should leave an honest review to help others. I selected a spring clean, with the outlook towards a fortnightly clean, but I would rather try out another company. Their website is very professional, but the actual service doesn't live up to the claims. To be honest, my house looks much cleaner when I do the job - there were chalky-looking water marks all over the floor, the shower looked dirty, there was dust on the walls and benches etc. Some areas were cleaned well..., but after a professional clean, I feel that it's a fair expectation to walk in and have the immediate impression that the house LOOKS clean. I'm glad I wasn't having visitors immediately afterwards! The cost seemed a bit higher than competitors, but apparently this doesn't equate to quality. The cleaners seemed pleasant and diligent, but they didn't really speak to me or discuss what they would do or what my expectations were.
Waited 3 weeks for a booking confirmation which got cancelled too
I contacted Family clean based on some positive reviews and waited for few weeks to get a confirmation on booking for a weekend based on my request. I made plans to ensure I allow time for this booking on weekend and get a phone call that this booking has been cancelled. I wish I could also join people who wrote some good reviews about their cleaners and services. However, considering the way they have handled my interest in their services, I am highly disappointed.
Not great at all. 4 bedroom home. Choose Brisbane family clean because of good reviews. We did not have the time to clean ourselves, that's why we hire them for one off cleaning.
At one glance, everything looks clean. However, they did not bother to mop underneath the sofa (our kid's toys still untouched underneath the sofa scattered around)
Bathroom: only toilet bowl looks clean. They did not clean the top of toilet bowl or windows next to it. They only clean the glass in the bathroom and sink, the floor itself still kinda dirty.

Not willing to measure up to own standard or honour guarantee
Family Clean's website lulls the reader into a false sense that this is a company that works to the motto "If it's worth doing, then it's worth doing right the first time". There's much talk about what a friendly company they are; of the high standards they hold; how they guarantee that they will keep coming back until the job is done to a standard that gets your bond refunded; how they're experienced professionals who know what the RTA exit standard is. Their website makes it seem pretty easy to get a reliable, reasonably priced estimate. A...bout $450 for a 'Queenslander' type home (which is a pretty big house). So with all that reassurance, we were pretty confident that this was the company to do our bond clean. Some of the shine came off when I met my cleaning team and the estimate was $250 - $175 more than their estimates. My little 3 bedroom house was hardly 'Queenslander' size. "It was hard to estimate, we've never cleaned a house like yours," was the response. I was a little skeptical, given the house was a rectangle with three small-average sized bedrooms and bathroom/toilet down the back, hallway down the middle, kitchen and lounge-dining up the front, but since time was ticking down on the end of lease deadline, I was willing to let it slide. I was also willing to let slide the claim that there was 12 hours worth of cleaning, since we'd already done a bit of cleaning after we cleared the house. I can't fault the team of 3 cleaners for their conduct. They were polite, well mannered and friendly. They were quick too, since cleaning started at 7:45am and they were packed and out the door by 12pm - a little less than 12 hours, but I thought I'd be getting my bond back. So it came as a rude shock to be told by our former real estate that the cleaners needed to come back and finish off a few details they missed. After a few attempts to call the company, I sent off an email letting them know this and passed on some feedback. I certainly wasn't expecting the rather rude and curt reply that insinuated that my house was one of the filthiest they'd ever cleaned (which is not entirely accurate since 'Jo' - the owner, didn't even clap eyes on the place); that the real estate was probably wasting their time; that it was 'highly unusual' that his cleaners would miss details. Jo might as well have come out and directly called me a liar, rather than try and make himself seem cleverer than he is. He decided to really show just how 'professional' he was by letting me know that he would send his cleaners back in his own time to finish the job - a reasonable person would think that a bond clean would be something that really couldn't be done 'in one's own time' given the need to hand the place back and the owner/agent be able to do their thing with the property shortly after (our owners wanted to renovate and put the house up for sale). I think Jo changed his mind after our real estate sent photos of what was missed. Yet even after a second crack at it, the cleaning was still not done. Worse, our agent let us know that since their exit report and the cleaners going back, there had been some damage to the property. It was made quite clear that Family Clean wasn't the preferred cleaners to get back to finish the job. Our old property manager let us know that Jo had been rather unreasonable to deal with when she contacted him. That put me in a bad spot, since the real estate had to organise their own cleaner and the cost is coming out of my bond.
