Good, but not as good as expected. **update: Very Good overall
Update: Fanco Australia got back to me regarding the oscillation issue after testing several of the same model and have determined there is an issue with the oscillation of my fan. They have organised a replacement. After sales service has been exceptional & friendly. I didn’t expect to hear from them again but they investigated further and got in touch to let me know their findings and offer a resolution.
The service team at Lighting Illusions were equally prompt and friendly with their replies, also advising which store had a demonstration model on display.

Church air flow
We purchased 2 of these fans to improve the air circulation around the sanctuary of the church room. They are quiet and powerful and I would highly recommend them to others. Show details · 1Great while working
Great fan, quiet and efficient, while working however the 1st lasted about a month & the replacement about a year, during which it was used for only a couple of months. While the warranty service was as good as can be expected it still takes a couple of months by the time you send the fan back for assessment and a new one is dispatched by which time summer is almost over. The main problem seems to be when the fan is in turn (or oscillate) mode. When it gets to a certain angle in the turn cycle it shuts down completely, it will generally start ... Read moreagain as long as you leave it in a fixed position. Further, the wired remote controller no longer controls the fan and while ever it’s turned on at the power point it runs, the consequence of this is that there is only one speed.
A Very happy customer
I am very happy with the fans there is very little noise and they look great and easy to install and good performance I love the black colour and staff are very helpful Show details · 1Great fan, quite pricey for what you get
I wanted a wall fan for my kids bedroom so after some extensive searching, this was the top rated fan in Australia. I considered getting it shipped down but it wasn't worth it. So off I went and got myself a bundle - 2 for 375.1. I wouldn't trust the shipping company again (Direct Freight) but thats another review
2. The fan weighs around 6 KG which is light. Considering that I paid almost 200 a fan I would have expected to see some mounting screws but there wasn't any at all - none for the fan and none for the remote. At Costco you get an en... Read moretire pack of different types for screws when you just buy a 80 dollar TV mount. 3. The fan though was easy to mount up. The fan blades though were something else. These looked like they were made from cheap metal and could slice someone in half. They just seemed very cheap. 4. Had to make sure the fan cover went on right after as I didn't want it falling down and the blade zooming off and decapitating someone. The cover itself wasn't as easy to slip on - there were 8 positions which sort of had to slide on. 5. All done, the remote was wired which I knew about so that was OK. No mounting screws again for this though. 6. The fan itself is great. There are 6 settings, 3 is about as quiet as it gets and 4 - 6 are quite loud. From the reviews I assumed that all 6 are quiet but they aren't. Then again, these aren't meant to be in a bedroom. 7. Turn on the fan and the speed is 1. Set it to 3 but clicking the next twice. Turn off the fan and the next time you switch it on, it is back to 1 again. So really , EVERY time you switch the fan on you have to set the speed again. That's alright - I like humming the 123- ABC song when I do it. In summary - yes the fan is great - good airflow and none of my other fans come close. But for the price I would have expected. - Screw mounts - Quieter fan - Not having to set my speed all the time Would I get it again? We are quite limited to what we get in Australia - so probably yes.
Good morning Roland, thanks for your feedback on the DC semi commercial wall fan. I’ve passed your comments regarding the screws to the product team. You’re absolutely right about this fan not being ... Read more
designed for bedrooms! Being a semi-commercial model makes it more suited to places like cafes, gyms and exercise studios. As you can imagine, in these types of environments you can get away with a little more noise! Although a lot of our customers are happy with this fan in their homes too due to its great airflow and DC motor, making it much quieter than other high powered fans with similar specs! However there’s always a bit of a trade-off between airflow and sound, after all air movement creates noise – but DC technology helps minimise any motor noise. Regarding settings and memory functions (i.e. the remote “remembers” the last speed setting), whilst we agree this would be a great function and we’d love to be able to offer this to all our customers, because turning the fan off cuts power to the motor and remote, at this stage, technology doesn’t allow us to. On another note you mentioned you may consider purchasing again one day and if so, perhaps take a look at our new domestic DC wall fan, now on pre-order through some of our resellers. The design of this product is similar, but we expect it to be easier to install! Thanks again for your feedback! It’s always welcome and taken on board wherever possible!Bought one to try mainly for DC power savings
I'm a production engineer/geek was against buying this for our hostel due to its high price, this last summer we had loads of wall mounted fans (cheapish H***r brand) breaking even many brand new ones. This fan for slighlty less than 200$ though proved to be much better than expectations.
However, this fitted a larger space with wind really that strong (and power saving too!)
Just wish Fanco, as the only australian DC motor fan maker, do size/power varities of these for smaller space or domestic use even.
I would rate this really very high in durability department as well.. this i'snt going to break anytime soon.

A good addition to improve ventilation
I installed two of these fans in a semi-commercial kitchen. They were easy to install and work very well with low noise level. They are wall mounted and also look attractive. Air flow is good. Show details · 1Brilliant, quiet fans perfect for bedrooms
We have been so happy with these fans. We bought 3 for each of our girls bedrooms and they have been fantastic. Really quiet but powerful fan that work brilliantly and keep our girls cool in summer. Couldn’t rate them highly enough. Show details · 1Just what we needed
This was the perfect fan for our back deck in sunny Queensland. We were after a fan that was wall mounted, needed to be energy efficient and quiet but able to produce strong airflow. Our new Fanco DC Wall Fan ticked all the boxes. It's made our days on our back more enjoyable and comfortable especially for when we have visitors over, its just what we needed. Hi, in previous posts there is mention of an upcoming domestic DC fanco fan. Did that model ever eventuate? Am looking for a wall fan for a bedroom. Also, will a model like this ever be available with a detached remote? Cheers.
