Over it. Sick of washing things twice.
Had a 7.5kg F&P machine for about 8years. Hubby thought it was time to sell and upgrade as it was starting to go off balance frequently so he figured it was wearing out. Bought this 8.5kg, which surprisingly fits less in it (much to my adult son's disgust). At least the old machine used to wash! We are particular in NOT overloading this machine but clothes still come out with detergent stuck to them sometimes, and if doing sheets or large items you see bulk dry patches on them as you hang on the line, the water is simply not reaching throug...hout the load even though items are dropped so lightly into the machine, never squashed down and always on the fullest water level. I don't use the auto water level because I agree with other reviewers, it doesn't work. This is our 3rd Fisher&Paykel machine. When we went to buy the 2nd I said to the shop assistant "I don't want F&P because our last one was a constant fight with it spewing rubbish allover loads randomly." He said "I bet you had the 1995 model, they are so good now but." His guess shocked me because it was correct. We bought the 2nd. It was wonderful. Now the 3rd sucks. Never again. The other extremely annoying thing is you cannot just choose a spin cycle if say washing got caught in the rain or something or you just need to wring something out, it must redo the whole rinse cycle. Waste of water, time and wear.

Noisiest washing machine i have ever owned
I brought this based on the reviews saying how quiet it is, it is so noisy it sounds like it is going to take off, very very disappointed as our laundry is next to our living room, even with the doors shut you can still hear it

OMG - Welcome to my Nightmare
I have the 8. kg model. For 4 years and 8 months I have put up with it unbalancing !!!! I have had the technician out, who tried to tell me it is because I send my water out onto the lawn. I put up with it because I knew we were going to do a major reno and change our plumbing. Well guess what! I no longer do that and it still unbalances - every single friggen load. Biggest piece of rubbish I have ever purchased. I will not even give it away, as I would not inflict this nightmare on my worst enemy. Never Ever will I buy a Fisher and Paykel again. And as for the technician - Don't lie to people, if you know the machine has this fault, be honest.

Had for years. SO annoying. Don't buy. Unbalances ALL the time, quite unreasonably; then beeps. try rebalance...doesn't work... more beeping and so on for hours. Detergent dispenser is also silly.
The agitator fins rip my clothes regularly. As per previous reviews here, I can't wash a load of sheets without being home as the balance throws it out and it stops and beeps. Sometimes this occurs dozens of times, even if I just have one doona cover and sheet in there. There is no quick wash function; the shortest cycle is still 45 minutes (or thereabouts). I would not recommend it.
Absolute 10 out of 10 pile of junk. The amount of clothes that have been damaged by the agitator is unbelievable. I cannot even do a load of sheets for 1 queen si...ze bed with a light doona cover without it stopping numerous times for being out of balance. This means that I must be at home for 2 or 3 hours to do a set of sheets because it stopped countless times. The clothes come out unclean even on a long and hot wash. It is nowhere near as good as other machines I have used in the past and a huge disappointment. Avoid at all costs.

I bought this machine about 18mths ago & have had problems on & off with it since. It beeps all the time like its out of balance, lid locks & pauses randomly, touch buttons don't always work, it fills to different levels all the time & switches between cycles mid cycle. Ive had the service guy out twice (which took some time) he replaced the touch pad head board & computerised components, but still playing up after both times. Im so done with this machine. Before this machine I had a fisher & paykel washing machine for 11 years & loved it, was ...such a great work horse, only had a service guy out once when it was 7yrs old, then it went for another 4. So I bought all my other appliances fisher & paykel. But never again. Do not buy this washing machine, it is crap!

Bad machine for pet lovers
This machine is quiet but if you have pet hair on an item of clothing, it will spread it to every garment in the washing machine. My old Simpson washing machine had a lint collector so the clothes came out cleaner than when they went in. Can't afford to replace it as I only just bought it!
Washes nicely and is quiet but broken down with blown power board within 18 months. Warranty service is a joke! Waited 1 week for a service and then would not work 5 minutes after serviceman left. Re-booked me for another two weeks !! Service staff could not care less. Dirty clothes piling up around my family. Very very disappointed. Never buy a Fisher & Paykel again
never again fisher and paykel
this washing machine is the worst machine ever I have had fisher and paykel machines in the past and were great this Junker is always out of balance and stops and beeps on any size load 1 sock with also make it out of balance . it would be different if the feet were out level but they are . the balancing problem has gone on for years and always thought it was over loading but we ever have . now 1 year out off extended warranty this still goes on and the warranty is crap as well . I have had now 3 freezers' 1 dryer and a now washing machine fall inside the warranty or just out no help from any one . under 5 years old at this stage I will ever have a fisher and paykel product again .
I have had a fisher and Paykel for years and recently upgraded to the new one. Very disappointed with the amount of lint it leaves on the clothes. It has ruined black clothes
Phoned the help line a couple of times and they say to run a hot water rinse through it which I did with no difference
Never had any problems with the previous machine and have down graded to this rubbish . Don't buy it
Absolute rubbish. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone!
On our 3rd replacement machine and still having major issues with machine 'thinking' it is unbalanced. Have been told that it was a manufacturer fault but F&P still providing us with same make/model/problems. Not happy. Contacting Dept for Consumer Protection. We also paid for an extended warranty which has not been refunded. Refer to legal action taken by ACCC 2015.
