No display visible
I was given this as a present two years ago. It was great for 18 months, then the band broke. I replaced that with a new band I bought on Amazon. Then the screen display started to fade so you couldn’t see it all at when outside. I had to be in a dark room to see it. The display has been getting worse for weeks until yesterday it disappeared completely. I can still get the data on the app but cannot use the watch to see the time. I rang the chat line and they told me to update my iPad and to restart the watch. Nothing changed. We paid $229 for this and two years is not long enough to have had good value from the purchase.

My watch has played up especially the display brightness. It is difficult to see when you’re outdoors. Also it kept freezing and not responding when trying to use it to select the excercise mode. Then it died after just 15 months.

What is the use of a device you can't read in daylight?
While this device may be packed with features, it's nearly impossible to read the face in daylight. Returning from exercising to discover it paused or failed to start is maddening!
Purchased from JBHiFi in August 2019. Had problems after a short while. Put it aside. Started again mid 2020. Does not update the time display. Tried regular update today. Links via Bluetooth only sometimes. Tried all the trouble shooting in the web site. Will not apply the update. Warranty is 12 months here, yet 2 years in EU. Will not be buying another and would not recommend.

Really great device!
It's a very simple and effective fitness tracker. I love the fitpay as you can just go for a walk and can pay with the tracker.
The only thing I would complain about is the bands wear off quickly and tracker screen did die after about two years, but the customer service was amazing and replaced it promptly!

Doesn't last long for the price
Good accurate monitoring but after 15 months it started going crazy with screen flashes, vibrates, and then just completely died. Too short a life for a rather expensive item. Will try another brand.

Did not even last a year.
After my Charge 2 died, only 1 month out of warranty, i swore i would not get another Fitbit. I had heard too many reports of this perfectly timed obsolescence to feel comfortable with another FitBit.
But i did get another... it was a gift though... a well-intentioned thought i guess.
I am not surprised to report that this one was even more rubbish than the last.
My Charge 2 managed to make 2 years... this one only managed to get through 9 months before the screen tearing started. A month later i have lost 20% of the lines on my display. I ha...ve had this just 10 months and it is already falling apart (the band lasted just 3 months but i got an excellent metal replacement off ebay) On top of that it keeps putting itself into Do Not Disturb Mode... which sort of makes the whole point of having this thing useless. I want notifications of e-mails and phone calls - oops, in DND Mode, sorry I want hourly movement warnings - oops DND Mode, sorry

I have had my Fitbit Charge 3 for around 14 months. After six months or so the screen went grey. The online solution was to hold the button down and it would correct. This didn't happen but I could live with a grey screen. Then after just under a year two black bands appeared on the screen and are in the way of the display of numbers for time and the number of steps walked. The small band broke so I put the large one on that came in the box. Now the catch has come away from the band so will have to buy a new band - but is it worth it seeing th...e display on the front of the watch is stuffed? I am now wearing a regular watch that I bought years ago and have just replaced the battery once or twice for $20. I don't even know if my Fitbit warranty was for a year but I was too busy around Christmas to follow up with the grey screen and black lines. I think I bought it early January 2020 as it was a Christmas gift voucher. Not good enough for a watch that costs over $100 to last barely a year. I did like tracking my steps each day and miss that function.

OK but not durable
Was bought this as a gift. Just after 2 years it stopped synching with my phone. Then the screen went mad- cycling through the functions (many of which were previously not visible- part of premium??). I tried a reset but it just starts rapid scrolling and vibrating again which kills the battery in 20 mins.
Will not buy again as 150bucks per year for a watch is too much (300 purchase price/lasted 2 years). This fault seems to be very common after 2 years- maybe built in obsolescence?
Off to buy a cheap copy this time.
Total waste of money
The band broke after 8 months. Wasn’t replaced because they were “out of stock” of plain black silicon bands. If I wanted to follow up, I would have to call them back. Great service guys! I bought a leather band. Then the numbers started disappearing from the watch dial 2 months later. Then the thing stopped charging 13 months after purchase. It’s expensive junk.

Like the watch but reliability is very poor
I have had to get two replacements over the course of owning this watch. Both times it started buzzing uncontrollably and the touch screen went erratic. Fitbit has been good with getting replacements out but very disappointed with the durability for the tracker. The watch straps have also not lasted well, with cracks starting to form. Other than the durability I have been pretty happy with the tracker. I only paid $100 on sale.

Charge 3 - ha, no charge!
Given Charge 3 for Birthday 18 months ago, now won't sync, won't charge, screen dead, have spent time on Live Chat, just keep getting more suggestions and going over what I've tried, no fix - extremely disappointed and today got cut off Live Chat as had used up my session limit! So much for customer service and obviously from Reviews a known issue. If I could give half a point I would. Hopefully Garmin are better

I am really disappointed with fit bit support
I am really disappointed with fit bit support.
• My Fitbit Charge 3 band broke in less than 12 months from purchase date
• I submitted a claim for a black Charge 3 Classic Band
• You guys told me that black Charge 3 Classic band is not available and gave me an option to choose from
1. New, Charge 3 & Charge 4 Woven Band Granite Reflective
2. Fitbit Charge 3 & Charge 4 Woven Band (Periwinkle) - Large
3. Fitbit Charge 3 & Charge 4 Horween Leather Band (Midnight Blue) - Large
4. Replacement, New, Charge 3 & Charge 4 Classic Band (Storm Blue)
• I chose “Fitbit Charge 3 & Charge 4 Horween Leather Band (Midnight Blue) – Large”...• Now you tell me that it is not available and asks me if I want a Fitbit Charge 3 & Charge 4 Woven band (Periwinkel) – Large I want either black Charge 3 Classic band or Fitbit Charge 3 & Charge 4 Horween Leather Band (Midnight Blue) – Large. I am not supposed to wear a band that Fitbit choose for me I want a band that I like to wear. As a customer who paid money to buy a product I want to exercise my right for choice. Really disappoint with Fitbit. Would never buy a Fitbit again or recommend Fitbit to anyone I know.

Failed Under Warranty and Replaced
I was extremely happy with the Charge 3 after having experienced a failed Fitbit Alta HR which had to be replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, similar to the Alta HR the wrist band broke and I had to replace it. From my experience with poor quality wrist bands of the Alta HR I did not want to purchase yet another Fitbit band and instead I replaced it with a metal band via Amazon = so far so good and more durable than the Fitbit band. The Charge 3 performed well and I enjoyed all the data it produced on my steps numbers, sleeping patterns, he...art rate and so on which I find really useful as I am in my mid 70's. And at my age it does not get a rough life. But it 'died' 2 days ago. It would not sync via Bluetooth to my Smartphone and the screen was blacked out. I had downloaded the Manual when it was new and I followed the recommended actions to reboot or re-activate it many times and nothing worked. So I resorted to using Fitbit's Chat Line which was excellent. After getting me to do some testing they concluded it was 'dead' and not recoverable, and were able to confirm date and location of purchase and that it was still under warranty. I will be receiving a replacement (not including wrist band etc, just the tracker) at no cost to me within 5 - 7 days. The service by the Fitbit Chat Line was A1. However the Charge 3 should not have completely failed under warranty. When the replacement unit eventually dies I will probably replace it with another brand as I have had 2 out of 2 Fitbits fail under warranty. That's a 100% strike rate which is not good - there must be a design or quality issue somewhere there I suspect.

Do not buy one!!!
My son bought me a charge 3,
11 months ago. I thought it great. Sleep check, heart beat, etc.. then I used it for a15 minutes swim at Nielsen pk beach. Straight away it affected the battery it lasted 1 day and needed recharge. I had 2 more swim with the watch again and then it completely died. And it was alarmingly hot. I thought it was mean to check : running, bike riding and swimming. That is why I say do not buy one.
