Failed Under Warranty and Replaced
I was extremely happy with the Charge 3 after having experienced a failed Fitbit Alta HR which had to be replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, similar to the Alta HR the wrist band broke and I had to replace it. From my experience with poor quality wrist bands of the Alta HR I did not want to purchase yet another Fitbit band and instead I replaced it with a metal band via Amazon = so far so good and more durable than the Fitbit band. The Charge 3 performed well and I enjoyed all the data it produced on my steps numbers, sleeping patterns, he...art rate and so on which I find really useful as I am in my mid 70's. And at my age it does not get a rough life. But it 'died' 2 days ago. It would not sync via Bluetooth to my Smartphone and the screen was blacked out. I had downloaded the Manual when it was new and I followed the recommended actions to reboot or re-activate it many times and nothing worked. So I resorted to using Fitbit's Chat Line which was excellent. After getting me to do some testing they concluded it was 'dead' and not recoverable, and were able to confirm date and location of purchase and that it was still under warranty. I will be receiving a replacement (not including wrist band etc, just the tracker) at no cost to me within 5 - 7 days. The service by the Fitbit Chat Line was A1. However the Charge 3 should not have completely failed under warranty. When the replacement unit eventually dies I will probably replace it with another brand as I have had 2 out of 2 Fitbits fail under warranty. That's a 100% strike rate which is not good - there must be a design or quality issue somewhere there I suspect.

Sync to phone lasted 5 months - sleep for 3 months, but good for steps
I have used Fitbits from their beginning & love them - while they continue to work. The Charge 3 has been particularly short-lived. I purchased it December 2019 when my Charge 2 stopped working. The Charge 3 sleep part stopped working about March, and everything stopped syncing to my phone in May. I still get steps & heartbeat on the watch face, but no record retained for the weekly stats I loved.
I am a careful 70 year old - take care of my Fitbits and have never worn them in water.
Love the motivation of the watch, but think it is time to try other brands to see if they last longer.

Product is OK
It is great fitness tracker however it has few drawback like delay or missed notification, Also, if you mobile is on silent mode you won't receive any notification on your band.. this is weird as I not interested to be buzzed twice once on phone and other one on band.
Secondly, not all times your screen would light up when you want to have a quick glance.. one in 5 times it will.. so not much satisfied with this functionality.
Find my phone feature is missing and battery life of approx 7 days..
I was using MI 4 band prior to buying this one and would definitely prefer that in future

Tired of Fitbit failure
I am on my fourth fitbit device. The last (a Charge2) failed after 18 months, about the longevity I have experienced with its predecessors. It was no consolation that Harvey Norman where I purchased the new device advised me the new one has two years warranty.
To add insult the new device doesn't take Charge 2 replacement bands, and yes there is a new charger not compatible with the old, for no discernible improvement. The band supplied aggravates my skin.
Only stuck with Fitbit as I value the logged history.

Despite all the advances in recent years, I couldn't find any smart watch that had yet truly "nailed it" as an all-rounder.
The Charge 3 won on the features most important to me: time and alarm, vibration alerts for mobile calls and SMS, heart rate, sleep monitoring, contactless payments, waterproof for showers and swimming, and - crucially - a long battery life of about five days. The Charge 3 achieves this battery life mostly by having a smallish mono screen which activates when you turn your wrist towards your face.
(It's important to no...te that in Australia, there is thankfully only one model of Charge 3, that comes with all of the above features. In other countries there are a couple of variants of the Charge 3, and some of these lack the full feature set. I'd double-check you're getting the variant you want, especially if you buy online.) I'm reasonably happy with the Charge 3 after 8 months. In summary: - I don't trust the step counter but the "minutes active" goal is an excellent alternative. - The Fitbit phone app is powerful and impressive, but really should be easier to navigate. - It synchs reasonably well with my Android phone but this can be a bit flakey at times.

Slowly getting used to it
I upgraded to this. It's harder for me to see the writing even though I've changed the clock faces. You can't custom set any of the tiles on the app. So on the app on your phone it shows the amount of stairs taken, as the main icon. I have to tap or swipe 6 times just to see the steps. That naturally means you'll need to charge it a lot sooner. Mine has the tap and go feature. It's good but not so good if you're in a drive thru as it's on my left wrist. I like the 2 minute meditation. The band is very stiff so it takes a bit of effort to get it buckled up. I like it but i wouldn't buy it again.

Fit bit is okay
Bought this for my child for Christmas. He loves it and uses it all the time to track his fitness. Has some cool apps that go with it, but they could be better. The display is quite good and easy to use for a child. The setup is a bit annoying because I had To link it to my email account. Overall i would recommend this product

Simple but yet stylish...
I bought the Fitbit Charge 3 approx 12 months ago. Never used one before but was able to work all the functionality within mins.
The Fitbit Charger 3 records steps, sleep patterns which helps out alot if you're on the baby brain.
I would say that if you're looking at a simple device this is the one to start you off :)

Ok, swimming leaves much to be desired.
Does an ok job of most tracking, however the swimming tracking is woeful. Has never gotten it right, and is constantly off by 50-200m. Build quality seems better than previous models, but will have to wait and see how long it lasts.

SCREEN NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH
Im happy with the features on the phone, however, the screen is not bright enough. I have tried several of the clock faces to see if they help. When out walking, especially in sunshine, it is difficult to see heart rate, time, steps etc. I now just look at the information on my phone.

Comfortable sleek device
I bought the fitbit charge 3 for my son (12 year old) early this year as a reward for school achievements. They were on sale at Big W and he had options but chose the sleek design of the charge 3 instead. He finds it cool and comfortable . This review was made with the help of my son.
He is very active so the Fitbit does its best in tracking everything and he gets a lot of benefits from it. I think, he is inspired to move more because he has a visual of the effects of his movements to his body.
The battery life is good and it charges fast. So ...

Does what it should, but not always accurate
A lot of times I would be working out and it doesn't detect it as a workout, for example lifting weights and more strength-based training. It does a good job on overall steps and heart rate and what not but i feel like they can improve the accuracy of this.

It’s quite a basic device but it does what it needs to do well. In terms of comfort, it sits on the wrist quite well and isn’t too bad. It shows phone notifications as well which is useful. But it’s lacking in functionality such as third party apps.

The step-counting can be quite off. Some morning I wake up and it says I’d already done 300 steps. However still a handle watch to have as it monitor heart rate (relatively accurate), it also has weather, calorie counts...etc but my favourite is the sleep analysis which I find very accurate.

Just okay, would not recommend.
I purchased this Fitbit in November 2018 as an upgrade for my Fitbit Charge 2. I really liked the design and the size of the screen. I was happy with how easy this was to set up and link with the app. I do question the accuracy of the steps, as when I use my Garmin device, it is always a few thousand steps less than the Fitbit. I also find it interesting that I sometimes reach my 10000 step goal whilst lying in bed or in the car. The battery life is amazing, as is the charge. The battery lasts for a week.
My issue with this device is the durab...ility of the screen. It was advertised with Gorilla glass, however, through normal daily use, I have noticed that my screen has scratches. I sought support from Fitbit customer support and they simply told me to purchase another device. I went on the customer forums on the Fitbit site and discovered that this is a widespread issue. Whilst Gorilla glass is scratch-proof, not scratch-resistant, as Fitbit customer support kept telling me, the screen scratches way too easily. I had my Fitbit Charge 2 for years and it never scratched. I now have to wear my Charge 3 with a screen protector. Based on the screen issues and the lack of support from customer service I would not recommend this product.
