Appalling Customer Service
Our company joined fleetcard 4 months ago. Every month we have received over the limit fee notices that are auto triggered by their system. As customers, there is no way to avoid these unless you log into their portal daily/hourly and monitor the spend of your employees...and who has time for that? It seems that they are quick to auto-fine you and cut off your credit but they don't want to employ the same technology to warn you when you are within 15% of your limit preferring instead to fine you around $100 for each breach.
I have asked ...their credit department on multiple occasions to increase my limit but despite never missing a payment and paying well before due date they refuse to do so on the basis that we need to be with them 6 months before they will even look at a credit increase. To add insult to injury they have announced today that there will be an additional service fee of $3.29 +GST for every transaction that is not Shell or Coles Express. Obviously time to look for another provider!!
Exorbitant Late fees charged before the due date
5 statements received & each one has a late fee of around $80 added, under the guise of "Miscellaneous fee" before the statement is even due.
Any attempts to resolve the issue are being ignored, countless emails & phone calls & nobody is returning my call.
The Worst Customer Service Ever!
Worst customer service ever!. Our company's fuel cards stopped working for no reason & Fleet Card did not seem to care about resolving the issue despite many phone call & emails over more than a week. We asked for a supervisor to call us twice & no supervisor has ever called back to try to resolve the problem. Fleet Cards customer service is of a very low standard & they do not seem to care about their customers or resolving problems with their cards.

I changed to this Fuel card as I was told it would work with my current Fleet tracking, but after using this product for 3 months, I realised my fuel cost had gone up. I reviewed the bills and found a number of charges which I was not informed about and the discounts were not what was on my contract. I contacted the company and was told they would look at it and get back to me. I was told response would take 1 week, after waiting more then a week I had to follow up a number of times but in the mean time continued to be charged incorrectly. I fi...nely got part of a credit but then they charged me extra admin fees for there mistake. They also do not send there bill's consistently then demand a late free charge with interest, I had to call them and ask where the bill was as they would turn up 1 day before due or even after they were due and would refuse to talk to you in a timely manner to resolve, there response time was a minimum of 4 days. I have contacted the ACCC to report the company and advise anybody else who has had similar problems to do the same. As when you present Fleet Card of evidence of there errors they threaten you. A company like this should not be allowed to operate in this country preying on small business. I am interested to know if anybody has legally challenged this company, and if anybody knows of any class actions against them.
They get you in with a good deal and add on ridiculous fees over time without telling you. After receiving a refund for some fees I cancelled my account. I've received my last invoice and the refund wasn't there. When I inquired about this, they said they spoke to someone and informed us that if we cancel the account the refund they promised would be added on again. That's just bad business..
Good product..need to lock in a deal
I have been using Fleet Card for the last year or so. I get the below comments but after speaking to a great rep on the phone I was able to lock in my deal for 24 months. Previously I was with Motorpass paying $15 card fees, not thinking I had a choice for my business until I was called by Fleet Card. Definetly give them a go.
Fleet Card- An amazing card to have for your fleet
I was a Motor Pass customer, getting charged card fees and management fees which was ridiculously high and then i compared my Motor pass fuel statement with Fleet Card offer and made the change straight away, this is going back a year or so and till date i am with Fleet Card, not only have i saved thousands of dollars on fees but i have received good discounts for my entire fleet which has helped my business save some more And i second the guy's sentiments below, don't care about what the world says and form your own opinion after trying it and thats what i did. To be fair to Fleet Card, its a great product with great offer. Keep up the work and you will have more business moving forward.
SCAM KEEP AWAY ! SCAM FEes
This Company is a big SCAM they are trying to save you fuel on cents per litres .,,when you are paying dollars on fees and if you run behind a month on payment which they never send the bills on time it's $70 fee when the petrol I used was $60 for that month on one car - I had 5 vehicles and each vehicle they are charging fees so in actually fact it's costing me money and they get you when you don't pay the bill as they never send it via email or mail runs behind on purpose so by the time you pay it's to late - the next bill you are up for $70 ...fee that's the scam right there - just use your own money on the long run you are better off if you run a company get a credit card instead no fees and you will get the bills on time every time even when you run behind you can just call the bank and they will waive the interest.

Extortion! OMG the fees and surcharges. Do NOT get a Fleetcard
After being hounded to the point of harassment by the girl selling Fleetcard, and her assurance that Fleetcard's charges are much, much less than other providers, I went ahead and changed our fuel card to Fleetcard with 5 cards (5 vehicles). Running a really busy business, and having the payment taken as a direct debit, I really haven't had the opportunity to keep a proper eye on the fees they have been charging us (my bad). To my utter shock, I have now discovered we are paying fees in the vicinity of $150 per month on our approx $2,500 fuel a...ccount! Unbelievable - I am searching for my emails now where the salesgirl gave me written assurance there would be no hidden fees. No doubt they would have sent through some fine-print at some point advising of increased fees and there will be nothing I can do about it other than cancel our account, which I will. I'm fuming!! Going back to my Caltex Starcard account pronto! Stay away from FleetCards!!
Avoid Fleetcard - Awful Service
Unfortunately, as per all the other reviews, same thing happened to us. 3 months after signing up to Fleetcard, they have added sneakily onto our recent inovoice that effective 01/12 $1.00 + GST per transaction if used at Shell and an additional $3.29 + GST if used at other service stations (Total $4.29 + GST per transaction). Received this invoice on the 02/12 two days into the month of which they are charging these transaction fees. This is a huge increase in cost to our business. Totally not happy with the way they have done this. We always conduct business in good faith, which Fleetcard have not done. 100% do not recommend signing up with Fleetcard.

Unfortunately the other reviews are accurate. The account changes were very difficult to find, even after being advised that the changes were advised on a previous account, it still took me three times to find them.
Not only that, being a day late with payment due to unfortunate circumstances incurred a fee of over $100.
I was also charged twice for a single transaction, which I was informed will be credited on the next statement. This occurred two months apart. I was told that it is possible that this could occur again. I was lucky to pick up on it the first time, but it would take a lot of additional effort to double check each account with one month back.
My advise DON’T use this service.

Regretted to do business with this company. Like the other reviewers said, they are all true. As I am now cancelling our accounts with them. So if you value your money, walk away from them while you can. And always read the fine print as they always make the print unnoticeable so that when you get back to them they will say, yes we send you the notice. They actually now charge you a card fee of $1.99 + GST, Service fee of $3.29 + GST if you shop out of they're preferred service station which is Coles Express and Shell plus an additional $3.00 +...GST on what they called fuel transaction fee. On top of that, some petrol station charge you an additional surcharge for using fleet card. So your up to $8.00 per transaction more if your not shopping with they're preferred sites. Just to let you know.
Don't get a Fleetcard - you will regret it - I did!
Signed up for approx. 10 cards for our business, exactly 2 months later they jacked up the card fees & started charging transaction fees of $1.10 for each & every transaction at their "preferred" sites (Coles & Shell) or $4.72 for each & every transaction outside the Coles & Shell network. The same month they increased their monthly card fee from $2.19 to $5.49 if the card was inactive that month. I suspect they get companies to sign up just to get their company information as you would have to be a madman to continue to do business with this c...ompany. Alternatively they sign up companies & hope that their accounts payable is not keeping any eye on the fees & keep using the cards for the convenience, I'm not sure, just speculating. Anyway I have cancelled all cards & now issue employees with their own credit card so they can purchase fuel wherever they want with no fees.
Add fees they wish
Our company have recently joint their service but totally unacceptable the service they provide. Before we sign up with them been told only card fee $2 per card and no other management fee, after three months we have received transaction fee on the bill, called them the girl on the phone told us this is the company policy the first three months are promotion that why no transaction fee and on going will be. Next day someone call us and complaint we called them and yelled at their office girls, how is that happen? Called the account management she told us the company recently upgrade a transaction fee. Without notice the customer and add fee they wish to is it right.
Please do not trust fleet card.
Dodgy company, they Charge me $66 Late fees for $80 bill although I paid it on time, Unscrupulous company. I didn't even get 4cents discount from all the stores as they promised.
I would not recommend fleet cards to anyone unless they wanna get ripped off. Card fees they say $1.50 but they won't tell you GST Amount. They will try to send you two cards so that they can charge 2 fees instead of one. They say 50 days interest free but it's not exactly true.
So sorry I joined up to this accounting nightmare!
Too good to be true!
You say you will debit our account, for seamless payment, however, you do not enter our BSB, and the payment is rejected, to then have the audacity to charge me for your incompetance!
I am so sorry that I listened to your sweet talking sales rep, and did not read these reviews first.
BE AWARE that they do not answer the phone, and they have many hidden charges...
Be warned that they bounce your payments, then charge you HUGE fees for the privilege...
Be warned that no local petrol stations let you use this service for free....

Avoid this business
Did not use cards in first month and got an invoice for a card fee for each card which is as was agreed. The amount was supposed to have been direct debited from our account but that didn't happen. Had to ring them when amount had not gone from our account. Told direct debit not yet set up. RUBBISH details were given at time of setup. OK set up direct debit again. Next month get charged an extra fee for being late in paying and again amount not taken from account. Another late fee. Account now closed. Avoid this business.

In 24 years of business, this is the worst experience I have ever had with a supplier of business "services".
I was coaxed by a very friendly sales representative to move to Fleetcard from BP Plus. I was promised no card fees unless the card was used; the rep actually suggested I order as many cards as I may ever use as they would not incur any fees unless they were activated through a purchase - BIG MISTAKE!! First bill arrived and EVERY card had a $1.99 plus GST fee applied.
Long story short; I tried to contact customer service and bi...lling for three weeks via email and voicemail messages - never got a reply. Finally phoned to complain again, and was advised the fees stood and I was made promises that shouldn't have been made - but no refund. As I hadn't paid the bill on time, my next bill had a $130+ "Credit Service Fee" applied, plus an "Interest Fee"!! I phoned again to dispute and was told too bad. I asked for a manager to speak to me, told there were none available, but they could log a callback for me which would take ONE WEEK!!! I cancelled all Fleetcard cards and returned to BP Plus - DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME.....

I have noticed on my current bill that we have been charged $5.49 card fee for each card as well as $14.16 transaction fee for each card. Previous statements had card fees of $2.19 each only, not impressed at all. I will call them and see if there is some explanation before I take this further.
They will typically say the previous month was honey moon period or something similar and now your on normal period. They will also say your were communicated by way of invoice. So check back at the last invoice where it was $2.19. Regardless, you need to dispute this as you did not give permission for the doubling of charges. I would suggest you cancel this card.
