Inadequate Communication and Care
The flight department is fine. Unfortunately, when booking a cruise, they transfer to another department, where I had had no end of trouble with the booking. My name was spelled wrong, my birthdate was recorded wrong, my address was even listed as the wrong state. I was seriously concerned because travel papers need to match my I.D. and how could they if full of errors? Trip canceled due to covid, but they will not release my credit.

I still have no idea what happened
I tried to book accommodation using my flybuys points and part payment. It kept telling me credit card information wasn’t valid and to try again. I tried a few times and every time it took the amount from my card and didn’t book the trip. Called the number for help and was told it was a known error and to call and book directly as if they tried it manually it would probably do the same thing. So 5 x the money out of pocket and had to book and pay for accomodation directly with the accomodation provider and have to wait up to 14 days for all of ...

Covid cancellation
Due to Covid trip cancelled given a credit which I can use at a later date booked trip with Virgin so still unsure if I will ever get that trip ,were getting points back would have been better.This is the first time this has happened maybe next time look at this.

Confused
I am not sure why I have been asked to review a flight that did not go ahead because of Covid19. I would appreciate some communication about a refund or an opportunity to rebook so that I do not lose the money paid.

lockdown - no travel - Still waiting to hear about how to rebook. I booked virgin flights from sydney to darwin , 16/04/20 and then broome to sydney.28/04/20 I've been told I'd get a credit to rebook. Not sure how that is going at the moment.

Sydney to Brisbane flights
We had to fly home earlier than expected due to a medical emergency. Flybuys charges a booking cancellation fee per ticket (not per booking) and so does the airline so it ended up being cheaper to buy new tickets with Virgin. I also found it confusing booking for my unborn baby (I needed to book him in as early as possible but didn't have a birth date) and then amend the booking to update the birth date. I wouldn't recomend flights via flybuys as they double dip on cancellation fees.

Unhelpful at an sad time
I had a room booked and paid for through Fly buys Travel for a recent concert I was to attend. On the day of the concert we had a death in the family and I was unable to go to Sydney for the show hence I didn't need my accomodation. On ringing Fly buys I was told there was nothing that could be done, no refund or credit for another night. They said it had been booked through expedia so was non refundable. I thought this strange since I booked everything through Fly buys.
What a waste of money!!!

Not the usual Novotel standard
Staff were lovely but the ammenities were outdated.
*pool tiles were broken and falling off
*out of the 5 elevators 2-3 worked at any given time. The wait for a lift was 20 minutes during peak times.
*parking was shared with a shopping centre. Spots were hard to find. Parking would take up to an hour. All for the bargain price of $18 a day.
*bathroom was gross, no air vent so smells would linger.
*basic bath/shower in one.
Having stayed at Novotel in Wollongong, Canberra and Darling Harbour this one was not up to Novotel’s usually high standards!

Good prices but don't use if you want flexibility
I have used Flybuys Travel quite a few times. From my experience, if you're 100% firm on your travels, booking with them allows you to earn Flybuys points (plus bonuses sometimes) and get quite good discounts on international flights. I flew on Malaysia Airlines Business Class for $1000 cheaper than what I could've gotten directly from the airline!
But, if you're after flexibility, I absolutely recommend against booking with Flybuys Travel. You might as well book directly with the airline. Any changes or cancellation will incur both airline ...

I've recently booked a Qatar Airlines Business Class promo fare with them. The fare is strictly non-refundable. However, if I were to book with Qatar directly, for the same price, I can make changes or cancel with a fee. Customer service is also not the best. Being an online travel agent, you’d imagine that things can be done online easily. No, nothing can be done online after you’ve made a booking. Emails will not be returned. The only way is to call them to get anything changed. So, in short, if you want flexibility, avoid Flybuys Travel at all cost!AmyPerth, WA

They take your money with no authorisation
When I booked my international flights online, I made an error when entering my name details. So I called them as soon as I realised and was told it was too late & to call in the morning. I emailed Flybuys travel & they responded to say that the airline have advised that they will need to cancel my booking and submit a full refund request for the original ticket, then they'd have to create a new booking and purchase a new ticket with a name correction fee of USD50.00. When I asked them to proceed with the correction, I requested they contact me...
Read more so I could provide my credit card details for payment. A couple hours later I receive an email with an E ticket with the corrected name. I checked my account & was shocked that they charged me 50.00 USD plus another full ticket cost without my consent. I called them to ask why they didn't call me as requested and explained I wanted the payment to be paid with a different credit card. The consultant just said the ticket cost would be refunded (within 10 weeks) and the funds have been processed now and there was nothing she could do about it.Questions & Answers

Why are flybuys sending requests for reviews of trips which have obviously been cancelled due to CoVid19?
Somebody there needs to correct this. My review:- Disappointing. Flybuys will not even refund our points back on to our statement when it is highly unlikely we will be able to re-book our triip

We got to go on our trip. It was not cancelled. We returned the night before the mandatory quarantine started. This is a genuine review
