Best oysters kilpatrick EVER (sauce so tasty), tasty Sardine Bruchetta and lovely wine 2019 Lino Ramble Pinot Grigio from OCEANICBAR and EXCELLENT SERVICE 10 out of 10 ..First time shopping here at PASADENA FOODLAND and we will definitely be back!!
No problems. Happy with service.
Have always been happy with customer service. Never had a problem. I read the review about lamb chops. No offense but lamb chops the same at opposition stores "C" and "W" -- fatty as well. Buy from a farmer if your fussy.
Like the variety of food. And have been happy with the quality of produce. Trying buy and collect service tomorrow.
Love the South Aussies
Always so much great value for money.. and their meat and veg is always the freshest and most readily available.. if there's something out of stock, they track it down and follow it up and let you know when they have it.. AMAZING!!
flowers at foodland
I purchased tao lots of flowers from foodland for mothers day, potted orchids. Sensational, after having searched online at the available flowers for mothers day, I finished up at foodland, quality was superb, jtst as good as a florist where you would pay full price, these flowers last forever, better than freshly cut flowers, price $19 per pot, unbeatable, gorgeous to look at . My mum was very happy, will continue to purchase flowers from foodland thank you foodland
Good country service.
For the goods or range choice, some of the smaller stores, don't have it all, they do employ local country people & give far better service than the larger stores, have you ever tried to find a staff member in the very large supermarkets. The Wudinna Foodland gives that old personal service, that Coles & Woolies ceased years ago, it may not have every item I need, but just having a supermarket in a small community means a lot to me. I bought a faulty product, NO lining up for a refund or waiting for it to be credited it was done. Shopping local now.
Foodland Sefton Plaza has the best range of goods. Better than the nearby Coles and Woolworths and Aldi. Goods are cheaper or same as Coles and Woolies and and checkouts always open, no queues and no self service checkouts which is great. Great atmosphere at Foodland plus they pack your groceries for you. Brands are trusted and mostly Australian where quality is better.
May 31st 2018 Update: Foodland Sefton Plaza
Fruit and veg is always fresh.iIems are always instock on shelf wide range of goods.Friendly and fast service .Prices are better than nearby Coles and Woolworths
foodland great for wallaroo
Clean , friendly staff good specials i allways shop at wallaroo store new shop opens wednesday got to be good for wallaroo
Thank you Littlehampton Foodland
After going to one of the larger supermarket chains today and receiving very poor customer service it made me realise how special my local Foodland is. You're always greeted at the checkout with a friendly welcome. Whenever the queues are getting too long extra staff are called up to help. The store is well managed, well-stocked and extremely well presented and easy to move around. Thank you for realising the importance of customer service and courtesy. It makes the onerous task of shopping much more pleasant.
Foodland Fulham Gardens South Australia
Food Shopping is not a particularly exciting activity that is, until you shop at Drakes Foodland at Fulham Gardens in South Australia. From the moment you walk through the entrance until you leave the checkout, it is a pleasure to shop there.
The layout of the shop is easy to follow, with the isles being clear of empty boxes, trollies and “specials” stacked in the middle. Many shops we have visited, have had pallets of food in the isles, waiting for staff to restock shelving, which makes it difficult to shop safely. There is no shortage of fo...
Go foodland go...
I love shopping at Foodland. A different feel to "Big Two" and diverse products. The best shops are the recently revamped Drake stores with their fresh bakeries and upgraded fruit and veggie section. My most favourite would be the fantastic Henley Beach supermarket? What a joy to shop there. The Norwood shop is great also and not to forget the recently renovated North Haven shop. Well done!
Drakes Foodlands are Clean, great product range, friendly staff and well priced
Some Romeo Foodlands can do with a revamp.
Recent convert. Very fond of them.
For years I worked for Woolworths and shopped there too. When I left I switched to Coles. After years with Coles I grew tired of them and the way they were squeezing out name brands in favour of their own cheap imitations. I tried shopping at Foodland and I was hooked right away!
For starters, Foodland is noticeably cheaper, week after week. I don't always buy the same exact products and my shopping bill varies but it has always been cheaper at Foodland than it ever was at Coles.
The second thing I liked was the greater range of products...and a much larger selection of low-volume-selling imported foods - The first time I shopped there I was genuinely excited by all the new, interesting stuff I could buy there. They have imported American and British lollies, soft drinks and other weird imported Asian foods. I went overboard and loaded a lot of this stuff into my trolley the first time I shopped there and in the end my shopping bill that week was still cheaper than it was at Coles most weeks! The store feels old fashioned and if it were a Coles or Woolies it would have been gutted and remodeled by now with an all-new, fresh look, with the cost passed on to the shopper of course. Personally, I don't mind the old faux terrazzo vinyl one bit if it means saving money on my shopping bill and I actually like that older, retro look and I prefer it to the stark white that they have in yer fancy-shmancy highfalutin' supermarkets these days. The fridge door handles have that old vinyl that looks like fake wood. I like all that stuff! It reminds me of my youth. The place is clean and that's all I ultimately care about in terms of the look & feel of the place. My only complaints are that the shelves are stocked during business hours and the people filling the shelves get in the way and are annoying and some of the young men who work there stink of an unimaginable level of B.O although when I was there yesterday the kid who usually stinks of B.O stank of deodorant this time, so maybe someone has had a word with him. I'm not sure how helpful the staff are because I've never needed to ask for assistance because I used to work in a supermarket so I know what I'm doing and can find stuff on my own.
Go you mighty south aussies!
I love my mighty south aussies! I save money, they supply a great range of products and support a lot of local family owned SA businesses just like them! Some stores do need upgrades otherwise overall well equipped stores with all necessary amenities. Staff could use better and more training in certain stores even is its up to individual to use comnon sense i think lack of training and supervision is a great contributor to overall complacency
Save money, great range, local, supports local
Foodland is in my opinion, the best supermarket around. Not only can you easily find all the groceries you need, if you need help there is always someone around to lend you a helping hand and a smile. With cheap prices like Coles and Woolworths but the comforting feel of a small, family market, you really can't go wrong.
Excellent service, positive atmosphere, inexpensive, friendly staff
Differs from store to store
My local foodland is amazing! It is one of the gourmet ones and I genuinely love shopping there.
It has a good range of food and always good quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. I also like that they dont push the bulk-buy thing like the big supermarkets do. I live alone, I dont need a kilo of mince!! Foodland often have one-person sized quantities rather than big lots.
It is a bit more expensive than other supermarkets but I think they are worth it.
Single serves of meat
Foodland have great sales each week in their catalogue. I really like shopping at Foodland as it stocks all the major labels but also some relatively unknown local suppliers. It helps with supporting the local community and producers. I think more advertising should be made instore of these local items and given them more support as it's too easy to get lost in the aisle with all the other products. Prices are reasonable, food is fresh and staff are friendly, a great shopping experience.
Great product range, local produce that isn't stocks in the major supermarkets, great specials in weekly catalogue, clean stores, friendly staff, local and family owned
Nothing I can think of
That they support Australian owned and made products is fantastic- something that I think more people need to think about- it's not hard to make a small change and support Aussie owned (like Dick Smith, what a champion). They stock a lot more continental and unusual items, especially in the deli section and they are really great about getting in certain products, you just need to ask.
Support SA owned and operated! I love Foodland for so many reasons, the Pasadena store is amazing and has a brilliant cafe in it- you'd be surprised how many pe...
This supermarket is great there are a lot of them located all around SA in easy to get to places. They have good parking and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The products that they stock are of a very high quality and they always have great specials on.
A great supermarket that really promotes what South Australia has to offer they highly promote SA goods over the imported foreign goods. I find that the fruit and veg tends to be much cheaper here. They also have a wide range of speciality foods on offer.
Nothing at all great place.
Foodland is great and deserves a 4.5/5, I prefer it a lot more than Supermarket Giants Coles and Woolworths. Foodland tend to have better specials and at the same time your supporting your own state as Foodland go out there way to purchase South Aussie stock.
South Australian owned, SA stock gets priority, Great specials most better than Coles/Woolies, Great bargains in the bargain bin
Different types of Foodland gets confusing (IGA, Drake, Romeo) as they have separate catalogs and specials. -- Smaller stores don't have a proper support desk so if there is a mistake with your item is harder to get a refund.
I have always preferred shopping at Foodland because I feel like I am helping out the community I live in, since it is owned locally and run locally. Many of their products are also locally made.
Locally owned - you know your money is going back into the community rather than to an over-seas owned company. Lots of really good specials. Offer rainchecks if something is not available. Always have plenty of checkouts open - unlike the other big two supermarkets. Offer a range of products and have labels on the shelves to show which products are Aussie owned.
There are several different types of Foodland, so not all of them have the same specials.
I love my local Foodland. I love how it's owned locally and it really supports local South Australian companies. Most of the time I am able to find groceries that other supermarkets don't stock anymore. Foodland always have amazing specials. I give it 5 stars easily.
Friendly personalized service, locally owned, shelves not full of own brand (black and gold, IGA and foodland brand)and not knocking out other brands, every foodland store is different. Always found in small towns.
Sometimes I want weird ingredients and it's not stocked...but then, you find that situation in other supermarket chains.
Questions & Answers
I live in Largs Bay and am an aged pensioner, currently homebound at demand of Federal Govt. Can you deliver to my home? Have Pension Card, & visa Card but am apprehensive about using Visa because, last week I tried to buy a washing machine and my card was compromised . Waiting on Bank for new card.
Elaine Baskett (My go to shop is Foodland North Haven)
Sorry, I'm also a pensioner and live near the hills, Bit fare away. I would ring Foodland about deliveries. I wish you the best and stay well and safe.
Good luck Judy. Haven't heard from Foodland with a positive reply but hope that on Monday they will reply.
Keep well. We must be aware of 'the arms length rule" To add to the confusion, we all have different length arms !!
But why post in a review site rather than ask them directly?
Why does the Foodland at Yankalilla frequently run out of advertised specials? The specials shelves can be empty at any time during the cycle, including the first couple of days. This happens regularly, at any time of the year and when I ask about availability, the reply is often that the supplier is responsible for stocking the shelves or the store has been busy! In my opinion both of these issues are easily addressed by effective management. JH
So why expect the public to know in a review site.
Does foodland milk support dairy farmers? If it doesnt i wont buy it!
The milk they sell comes for dairy farmers so yes
