Great to drive, awful to own
Bought a 2014 built Fiesta, new, in 2015. It is a super city car: excellent seats, love the steering and the gears and the aircon. Boot space is good for such a small car.
However, the SYNC Bluetooth is not good. Have had persistent issues with connectivity that Ford Australia were not prepared to assist with.
The bodywork leaks. The joint between roof and body panels has a tendency to split. In my case that has resulted in the spare wheel housing filling with water to such an extent that my spare wheel and jack are now unusable. Ford A...ustralia have accepted this is problematic and have offered 25% towards the $1700 cost to repair, which I feel is pretty poor. They have offered nothing towards the spare wheel and jack. My window tinting failed, making the car unsafe to drive. This has been reapplied but was disappointing all the same. My car has travelled 30,000kms and is serviced annually by my local dealer. It is still a lovely car to drive, although I won't go out in the rain (and I live in the tropics), but overall my experience is not good. The car is supposed to be passed down in my family (just bought a new Mazda 3) but unsure what to do with it currently, so it's sat in my garage.
Purchased in April 2015 for $13,000.00.
