Zippy car with plenty of features
I have had my 2019 SA focus now for 3 months and it has been a fantastic car. I love the drivability of the 1.5 turbo engine and the 3cyl engine has a great note. Average 6 litres in city driving and have had as low as 5.0 on the open highway.
Impressed by the build quality and functionality of the interior it is a clean but basic layout. Everything is easy to access and the 8inch infotainment system is easy to use and nice and clear. This model has an 8 speed conventional transmission so no problems like the dual clutch of a few years ago,...but does occasionally struggle to find the right gear at low speeds. It sticks to the road when giving it a squirt on the windy roads, a great handling car. I have the optional drivers assist pack which ads a couple of extra safety features and folding mirrors with light on the bottom of the mirrors which helps at night When fumbling for the house keys. Only Minor negatives for me is that the trend model doesn’t have keyless start and I find the halogen headlights are average on the highway. I am sure other owners have had issues with this model focus but so far I have nothing but positive things to say about it.
Purchased in February 2020.
