Advanced Comfort Mattress - Warranty not honoured as expected
Tried to make a warranty claim for collapsed springs without any success.
Sincere Bedding (the manufacturer) dragged the chain for 6 weeks and then wanted to see the mattress.
Once seen, they wanted me to fund its transport to their factory to be examined. Upwards of $150 cost to me.
They told me that its not an everyday bed. Its a guest room bed. Not what I was told in store.
Shouldn't sit on the bed. Not what I was told in store.
I moved on elsewhere. Shame as it was my 4th Mattress from that store.
WHAT HAVE I DONE !
After sleeping ( if I can call it that ! ) on a mattress that obviously was not for me - who knew ? For 5 years - I just put up with it because I could not return or swap it. I finally had had enough and decided to purchase a new mattress. After visiting a few different companies I walked into Forty Winks Caringbah. I was greeted with a smile and how can I help. John was on his own with a shop full of people ( staff called in sick ). He was so professional and calm. Being in retail myself, I was happy to walk around the store playing" Goldie L...ocks " to find my "just right " John showed me a few beds that he thought would suit my needs. I asked which bed was the best ? Unlike any other sales person - he said the best is the one that feels good for you. I loved his honest and not at all pushy attitude. I bought a mattress and two pillows. He had one in stock and I had it delivered 2 days later. On the day I purchased the bed I went home and tried to search reviews on the mattress. Up comes product review Forty Winks. WHAT HAVE I DONE . I tell you what I did, I obviously found the best branch and the best sales person . John was amazing , so were the delivery guys. On time as promised and courteous. If the pillows are an indication of what type of sleep I going to get - I cannot wait.
My old broken mattress was better
I brought my "everyday comfort plush queen mattress" from forty winks two weeks ago since my second hand mattress was deterring my boyfriend from staying over and I was also finding it hard to sleep. But being a single mother of two I couldn't really afford to buy a new mattress, so I decided that I would really cut back in groceries, personal products even nice treats I put in my sons lunch box to be able to get a $600 mattress. I know that seems a little selfish but I've never had my own mattress due to being in Forster care my teenage years ...and a struggling mother in my adult years. So I first shopped around, because knowing I was spending so much money on myself I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. I settled on a the king koil mattress at forty winks and I realise now it was for sales pitch from the nice sales lady. She told me the mattress is HARPA assertived and made with spinal care so I'm guaranteed a good nights sleep. I was so excited to get the mattress home and have my first of many great nights sleep. I straight away noticed the mattress wasn't as plush as the one I layed on in store. I thought maybe it needs some time for the pillow top to puff up (it didn't). The first night was ok then the second and third I started to realise the mattress was no where near as soft as it should be and that I was getting a sore stiff back. It feels like the mattress is uneven and not made with spinal care at all. It's now been two weeks and I have a kink in my neck, my arm and no amount of rotating the mattress (like specified) is helping. I'm so disheartened and upset I had to struggle to afford what I thought would be the best personal investment and it turning out to be a nightmare. Don't ever buy a King Koil and never from forty winks, they only care about making a sale then to inform you that King Koil is considered the worst mattress makers amongst customers. I don't know what to do from here and I'm so annoyed. I haven't asked for a refund because all I've seen in reviews is that it's practically impossible! So instead of banging my head against a brick wall and getting upset with someone with no help through a phone, I'm going to tell as many people as I can not to ever shop at forty winks!
Delivery & rude staff at Auburn Store nsw
I haven't received my bed and staff are not helpful. franchisee lied truck broken, deliveryman told me running late.
I will never shop with Forty Winks and never recommend them to anyone. I rather go to Heavey Norman than Forty Winks.
Sales person knowledgeable, helpful and honest
We needed a new mattress after 23 years and went back to Forty Winks Crows Nest. Craig was fantastic - he guided us through the product range (but was not pushy) and really helped us figure out what mattress types would be best suited. We narrowed it down to 3 in different price categories and we alone decided to purchase the more expensive brand (although it was on sale). Craig gave us a new mattress protector. Delivery was as expected and they took away our old mattress as promised. The new mattress and base were flawless and we slept like lo...gs. A week later we returned to buy new pillows to complement the new alignment of that mattress. Craig gave a good deal on the pillows too! We are totally thrilled with our purchase and experience with the Crows Nest store and absolutely love our King Koil New York mattress.

The worst customer service. I will never buy from them again.
I bought in store and was wrongly advised by the salesman and not advised of my options, therefore I trusted that I was purchasing what was on display.
To make it worse the men who came to deliver the rest of the bed and assemble were extremely rude.
Went into forty winks after much debate amongst competition to buy a custom made gas lift bed in October 2017. Forty winks cost was expensive but I thought given the brand and reputation I would rather pay the extra to avoid fuss - I was wrong.
Got the bed at the end of November and the headboard was made too small to fit on the base (wings didn’t fit around). Called the store and turns out it was a “supplier issue” so they organized a replacement to be made. Got the replacement 4 weeks later in December just before going overseas for Chris...tmas and when I returned from holidays and tried to put it on in Jan 2018 it was too big for the base this time! Contacted the store and let them know and they told me the director of the “supplier” would be contacting me to rectify this.. still haven’t heard from anyone and it’s February Save yourself the hassle and money and shop elsewhere

My son's bed broke and I've been told never to call Forty Winks again!
I bought a Seasons king single bed frame two weeks ago from the Forty Winks Alexandria store and picked it up yesterday.
I followed the steps exactly as outlined in the instructions, however, one of the rails pulled itself out of its anchor point in the bed end, falling to the ground. That has damaged the top hole so badly and irreparably that the bed rail cannot be safely fixed into place.
I'm extremely disappointed that an item in Forty Winks's inventory could break so easily under its own weight like this - it means my three year old...son didn't have a place to sleep last night. I'm also concerned from a safety perspective just how safe this bed is, now. The safety of the bed even in working order itself is also dubious - that this item would break under its own weight is a massive safety concern. I emailed the store this morning but didn't hear back so I called them. They told me they needed to speak to the manufacturer of the bed. Then later told me the manufacturer would call me today, which they didn't. I was then told by Forty Winks a replacement part would be sent out to me but they could not give me a delivery day.

Very bad customer service
I bought a mattress in end November with all forty winks castle hill store pushing the sale to me with the promise that the sale price is lowest ever & no need to wait for future sales. It got delivered in mid December but I found that same mattress $300 cheaper a week later. I called management for refund but they didn’t oblige. Words like Customer Service, Trust, etc. do not exist in their dictionary. In fact, that store is the only one I found in 15 years in Australia to not worry about customer loyalty
Excellent Customer Service
I purchased a bed for my daughter in March this year and unfortunately it was damaged just before Xmas and when I went and spoke to Belinda at the store she couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. A replacement bed was provided 2 days later until the new one would arrive in mid-February. Honestly best customer service I have seen from any store in a long time. I had purchased a bed from Forty Winks many years ago and was a returning customer anyway but I certainly would not go anywhere else for our future bedding needs.

I went into forty winks to check out beds with storage underneath.
The sales lady was very pleasant and knowledgeable without being pushy.
We explained if we were to purchase the beds now we would not be ready to take them straight away and they said that was okay:
The great customer service extended to all the Erina staff who were always pleasant and helpful whenever I went into make a payment.
We ended up buying two matching chests of drawers to match the beds which they also held until we were ready.
Left with no bed to sleep on & still no response from Forty Winks!
I purchased an expensive King Koil Chiro mattress and Base from Forty Winks. The in store support was great. The after sale support unfortunately was awful. Forty Winks confirmed delivery for 27/10/17 and then cancelled delivery because the 'drivers don't deliver after 5pm' and they had booked too many deliveries in. Having explained that we now had no bed to sleep on (as I had sold my old bed that day given the delivery confirmation) the store told me there was nothing they could do, so we slept on the floor. The reason we had purchased this m...attress is because we had been medically advised to buy this particular mattress with my partner having had shoulder surgery. The store did not care about this and knowingly allowed him to sleep on the floor! I asked for priority delivery the day after as I had weekend plans that would be difficult to cancel. I was told it would arrive between 2-4pm. It did not arrive until gone 5pm. Having emailed Forty Winks twice and having a telephone discussion with Head Office on 27/10/17, I have still not had a reply from anyone in the Company. The King Koil range is amazing, but I would purchase from the numerous other stores that sell this product like Harvey Norman. The customer service, post sale from Forty Winks has been awful and I will not be using them again. Steer clear!
Terrible terrible delivery service and rude delivery driver/manager
We bought a super expensive King bed from this place. When we bought this we were told the delivery guys will call us up and schedule a convenient time.
On a Wednesday, we were told the delivery will be made on Friday and to be available (We both work!) and I asked to make it Saturday instead, they agreed but they wouldn't give me a time and said that the delivery guys will call up and "Schedule" on Friday. Bought bed 2 month ago and got scratches everywhere can't believe it
I would never ever go to this shop bought Bowen bed two month ago and it's all get scratches and the colour is coming off be aware aware the Baddest quality ever I did call them they said we can do nothing for u sorry u can buy another one. Is this a solution
Staff arguments in store
Went into the store at Alexandria Homemaker centre, walked in and could hear staff yelling, one man in particular was quite loud and upset. I walked around the store looking at bed frames, waiting for one of the FIVE staff members to help me, but all they were doing was arguing. One male staff member was shouting at another for being incompetent and the others all watched as they fought. Very unprofessional. They all noticed me, and yet none of them stopped to even acknowledge me, let alone to apologise and help me choose a mattress. I walked a...round for a little longer waiting for the conflict to be over so that I could get some help, but it became increasingly uncomfortable to be in the store. I left and went back to Snooze to the great saleswoman there, and bought a $1250 mattress. Would have happily found a mattress at forty winks but I wasn't willing to give them my business after that disgusting display. That store and the company should be very embarrassed. Never, ever, going back.
I went in today to west Gosford asked a price the reply was very unsatisfactory 40% off , I asked off what ? she rumbled about found it then tried to calculate it in her head and gave me a rough price ide had enough bye this stage I asked politely for the price I stormed out they have a bad attitude .

Outstanding Service By The Team At Campbelltown NSW Store
I would like to thank the team at the Campbelltown NSW store, I purchased a new Linksea Seattle gas lift bed frame and a Serta Hotel edition double size mattress, and the service I received was well above what I expected. All the staff members were happy and approachable, as well as knowledgeable about the products.
The purchase went beyond smoothly as they explained the process to me and updated me every step of the way until the delivery was arranged. The delivery team was very friendly and placed the items where I wanted.
There was ...a slight issue with the bed head frame, Olivia contacted the supplier and they delivered and replaced within 48 hours, the after sales service was fast and very pleased with. Very pleased with the service and products will most definitely recommend and purchase there again. Thank you again George, Sarah, Olivia & Hannah.
For us - never again
We went to our local Caringbah Forty Winks store to purchase a new king bed . We sort their professional advice and recommendation - getting the right bed was more important than the price . Long story short - after it was delivered we discovered we were sold a totally inappropriate bed We visited the store and spoke to the manager who said Forty Winks would get back to us . It's been five months now - and we've been totally ignored . We will not shop at Forty Stinks again . Harvey Norman on the other hand have been excellent .
