Staff arguments in store
Went into the store at Alexandria Homemaker centre, walked in and could hear staff yelling, one man in particular was quite loud and upset. I walked around the store looking at bed frames, waiting for one of the FIVE staff members to help me, but all they were doing was arguing. One male staff member was shouting at another for being incompetent and the others all watched as they fought. Very unprofessional. They all noticed me, and yet none of them stopped to even acknowledge me, let alone to apologise and help me choose a mattress. I walked a...round for a little longer waiting for the conflict to be over so that I could get some help, but it became increasingly uncomfortable to be in the store. I left and went back to Snooze to the great saleswoman there, and bought a $1250 mattress. Would have happily found a mattress at forty winks but I wasn't willing to give them my business after that disgusting display. That store and the company should be very embarrassed. Never, ever, going back.
I went in today to west Gosford asked a price the reply was very unsatisfactory 40% off , I asked off what ? she rumbled about found it then tried to calculate it in her head and gave me a rough price ide had enough bye this stage I asked politely for the price I stormed out they have a bad attitude .

Outstanding Service By The Team At Campbelltown NSW Store
I would like to thank the team at the Campbelltown NSW store, I purchased a new Linksea Seattle gas lift bed frame and a Serta Hotel edition double size mattress, and the service I received was well above what I expected. All the staff members were happy and approachable, as well as knowledgeable about the products.
The purchase went beyond smoothly as they explained the process to me and updated me every step of the way until the delivery was arranged. The delivery team was very friendly and placed the items where I wanted.
There was ...a slight issue with the bed head frame, Olivia contacted the supplier and they delivered and replaced within 48 hours, the after sales service was fast and very pleased with. Very pleased with the service and products will most definitely recommend and purchase there again. Thank you again George, Sarah, Olivia & Hannah.
For us - never again
We went to our local Caringbah Forty Winks store to purchase a new king bed . We sort their professional advice and recommendation - getting the right bed was more important than the price . Long story short - after it was delivered we discovered we were sold a totally inappropriate bed We visited the store and spoke to the manager who said Forty Winks would get back to us . It's been five months now - and we've been totally ignored . We will not shop at Forty Stinks again . Harvey Norman on the other hand have been excellent .

Does not support product it sells
I would like to lodge an official complaint regarding the merchandise Forty Winks sells, it's lack of concern for the consumer, & it's ability to wipe its hands of an ongoing CHRONIC problem with selling anything in the King Koil or AH Beard range. To put it bluntly, my purchase of a QB from Forty Winks in the King Koil range from the Alexandria store has been a dismal failure & the fact that the bed is discontinued even strengthens a consumer's concern. The mattress has dramatically sunk on the side, AH Beard offered to do nothing, put forward...a whole heap of petty excuses even though acknowledging its sunken appearance when entering the room, even though it is blatantly obvious there is a serious manufacturing problem. After reading online here, the litany of complaints against AH Beard, I would never ever purchase a bed from Forty Winks as they are totally untrustworthy. I am searching for a new mattress, after 1 year. What a waste of money.

I don't think giving Forty Winks Bankstown five stars is enough. This family business is the place to go if you are looking for an excellent service and advice. The whole buying experience was great, I didn't see forced into buying anything that was over my budget. Karam was really helpful, he explained everything so well that anyone that doesn't have any knowledge in beds will become an expert. My partner and I absolutely LOVE our mattress and bedroom suite.

Purchased a Silent Partner Queen mattress that sunk within 6 months. I was pregnant at the time so I thought the feeling of drowning was from my ever-expanding body. That feeling however never went away even after I gave birth and pretty soon I felt like I'm hanging while sleeping. Attempted to claim warranty and paid 70 dollars for someone to come and see it only to say that my bed is to blame that the mattress has sunk because I have not got a centre support leg and that my slats are a couple of millimetres too thin. What a load of it :( My b...ed was a sturdy timber bed with slats that have not moved a millimetre and with a centre support bar, none of which made any difference. Whatever it takes to get out of warranty. So $1800 dollars plus the $ 70to have it assessed down the drain. I can't even sell it because I don't operate like that so I will most likely pay to get rid of it. Thank you 40 winks NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Delivery process was a shocker. Adivised the afternoon before that my delivery would be between 6.00am and 7.00am the next day. And that there was no change!
Such poor customer experience means I will never buy from Forty Winks again. And because of the 'shock value' in the story, it means I'll be telling lots of people. NPS = 4

What Customer Service
I have purchased and paid for a bed frame from Forty Winks whilst buying a mattress at Snooze on the same day. I have been sleeping on the mattress from Snooze for 2 weeks as guaranteed and am still waiting for a frame 5 weeks after purchase, this after the salesperson at the time told us they should be in stock. The receipt then nominated 2 weeks for delivery which we noticed after finalising payment.
Each week I have been given the same story, in transit, bad paperwork, delayed. But we guarantee the following week, we will book you in for...

The sales lady was very knowledgeable and helpful. The pick up was easy and the bed works fine. Would buy from them again, no hesitation.

40 winks kotara father and daughter very helpful happy sales people I love my new bed about 3 weeks old kingkoil flex 5 I can't wait to go to bed each night so comfy just like a cloud so far its just beautiful I was nervous about getting this brand after reading bad reviews I guess im lucky because its the best bed We have ever slept on its just as good as the one in the shop I hope it stays this way but they promised me they would look after me if anything goes wrong but just want to say massive thankyou for helping me choose this bed 40 winks
Campbeltown store, liars and cheats.
BUYER BEWARE, I purchased a chiropractic mattress from them that has been plagued with issues. It has been back to the manufacturer 3 times for repair. I returned the mattress today for a refund as entitled by Australian consumer law. Would not accept the return of the mattress and use smoke and mirrors and say its not up to them! They don't return phone calls, emails as the manager is always not there. Some of the worst service I have ever seen, they are happy to take your money and then run without standing behind there product. Legal action...now commencing. I attempted to leave a review on Facebook to be blocked after 30 seconds. Isn't it funny they don't want bad reviews. Update the store called me today and offered a refund minus 25%. They would not submit this offer in writing as this is illegal! How many other have they done this to?
40 Winks Kotara and Sincere Bedding.
In 2007 I bought an ensemble bed it was quite expensive and was a Plush Latex Trilogy it was Guaranteed for 10 years. About 7 years on I noticed the mattress was getting a dip where I slept but it was still quite comfortable but at 8 years It was getting worse and I reported it. The Manufacturer sent a person out and he took photos, I was then rung to tell me that it was not repairable and to come into the shop (40 Winks at Kotara) to choose another mattress.

Exceptional Customer Service
Our story goes back to 25 April 2015 when our home and especially our bedrooms were badly damaged due to the hail storm that reeked havoc in the inner West however our final delivery only occurred last week due to tradesman issues. After the storm our Insurance Company advised us we had to use Forty Winks for the replacement of our beds and relevant bedding. We initially rang the Alexandria store and had the good fortune to have Doug answer the phone and then to become the salesperson we would later liaise with and select our replacement beds...and bedding.we selected the nearest one to us which was Forty Winks at Alexandria for replacement of our beds and relevant bedding. Doug was most helpful and very was not only knowledgeable in assisting us with our replacements, he was also a warm and friendly sales person with excellent customer service skills. We selected our replacement beds etc at this initial meeting, however due to difficulties on securing tradesman to action the necessary repairs required on our home we had to have our goods held for a long period of time. At no time did this branch of Forty Winks put pressure on us to make the final payment or to take delivery of the goods before all repairs were completed, for which we were so grateful. Prior to our final delivery there was an issue with one of the beds and doona cover being no longer available. Not a problem for this store and Felicia - another wonderful sales person at this store, ensured the problem was resolved to our full satisfaction. So thank you Forty Winks Alexandria, you do indeed have what is something, that at times, seems to no longer exist - ie excellent Customer Service.
After purchasing a fairly high end mattress at Erina store, we found it sunk in Middle, to the extent it was damaging our backs. When brought to the attention of the store we were told we bought the wrong mattress.

I went into the Alexandria Forty Winks store a few weeks ago not knowing what I was after (I don't know much about beds) and immediately the friendly staff approached me with good old fashioned service and assistance. I did not feel pushed into buying the most expensive bed they had and surprisingly walked out spending much less than my expectation. If you're in the market for a new bed do yourself a favour and go and see the guys in this store. I've never felt better since receiving my bed!
