Fantastic - Love Forty Winks
Every time I go to our local forty winks store, Which is Ballina, I get the best treatment.

Worse service ever especially by the so called store manager karmal. To think his the one that can solve everything yet his so unprofessional and rude. Should be treating customers with respect and not want to fight them and tell them to come over the counter. Don't promise something if you cannot keep it and dont use your personal situation as an excuse for not keeping promisees
Dismissive and rude
Recently bought a mattress from Forty Winks Hornsby, the composition of which emits a very strong chemical odor - like sleeping next to wet paint - and resulted in making me very physically ill. I tried to call the store to see if I could arrange a return and I'm not sure who I spoke to but he was so appallingly rude I actually had to hang up. He chose to mock and belittle me rather than listening to what I had to say and any information he offered was given in a rude and sarcastic manner.
I can understand if he was skeptical about my issues with the mattress due to the relative rarity of the nature of the complaint, but a complete lack of empathy and rudeness to that degree - someone like this shouldn't be allowed in customer service.
King Koil and Forty Winks Auburn
The mattress we bought from FW auburn made us overheat. It's a terrible mattress and the staff at forty winks did their best to con us in to buy this mattress. Keep away from these rip off merchants
I bought a middle of the range King Koil mattress from Forty Winks Auburn believing that I was getting quality. 6 months later my wife and I are sweating like pigs in this bed and it's only winter. Do yourself a big favour and keep away from King Koil brand and better still keep away from Forty Winks Auburn.
Poor customer service
I tried to purchase a bed from interstate for my mum and was told I had to come in store to be able to sell it to me at the sale price. There was no interest in having the sale. At all. Penrith store. Yet my local store in vic couldn't have been more helpful even while I was In Qld.
Dismissive and condescending staff
Went here for a mattress - the staff member was naturally argumentative and abrasive the whole way through. I can't remember the last time I ever wanted to punch someone, but I would have loved to have punched him. The best bit was when he told us that our physiotherapist, with two published books on back pain, was utterly wrong on bed choice. The management must be utter muppets to hire such salespeople.
To top it off, when we did buy a mattress there, he called my wife "sweetie" all the way through.
Don't go to Forty Winks Alexandria, even just for a pillow fight. Go for a real one.

After saving for months and trying out many beds until I was happy with my choice I purchased a King ensemble from the Penrith Forty Winks store at sale time. A few days later I received a call from the seller advising me that the bed I purchased would be different to the one I paid for when it arrives. The lady was extremely arrogent and spoke very rudely to me when I question her why the change and I suspected something suspicious. When she told me which ensemble she replaced it with I knew the one and it was cheaper and I wasn't happy with t...hat bed nor the change. She swore at me and I told her she couldn't just change my order without a reason. She yell, swore and screamed at me saying I didn't know what I was taking about. I told her then I would contact fair trading. My husband then rang the shop and had the same response and words were exchange by them both. After ringing fairing trading they suggested to ask for my money back and cancel the order. I ask for the manager and arrange for a time to come in. She stood next to the manager and began swearing at me for cancelling the sale and told me that I was reduculous to think that the bed I purchased could have been purchased at that price. I took the manager over to the bed and it still had the price on the ensemble. The sign had ensemble and the correct price she had made the mistake on the tagging it was the price for the mattress alone but she refused to admit her error. The manager said if I would like to pay another $750.00 I could have the ensemble I had purchased. In tears I demanded I requested money back as she continued to yell at me for cancelling the sale. The manager did ask her once to be quiet but she continued. The worst costomer relations I have ever come across, don't waste your time there.
This mattress I purchased was Capri medium and it is so hot. It has latex and memory foam causing heavy sweating as it doesn't breathe.
Stay away from this brand after sales service was shocking. The company said it was my imagination
40 winks is an absolute joke, we were sold a mattress paid for delivery and was happy.. Next week we get a call off them saying that they "accidentally" gave us the wrong mattress and they will need to come and swap it, hmm ok we said.. & well that new mattress they brought us is a NIGHTMARE it is only a year old as of this month and has a huge sinking hole in the middle. we rang and made a complaint and they had someone come and take a look, this lady was nothing but inconsiderate and rude, she walked in, took one look at the mattress and said..."well, I won't be able to inspect this mattress because it is dirty, you will need to pay for it to be cleaned before we can even consider looking at it, and after we see that it is cleaned, I still may not be able to take a look if it is still not up to standard" I was highly offended at this claim seeing how I like to keep my house tidy! there is a stain on the mattress about the size of an apple due to 40 winks selling us a mattress protector that does not fit our bed correctly. the mattress itself has also got fluff barbles on it due to it being a horrible quality fabric. There is so much more to this story but ill leave it at that and just say that every single person I have dealt with regarding this matter has been uncooperative and the customer service is an absolute joke. so much for the "10 year warranty we are meant to have" warranty doesn't mean anything when you buy a bed at 40 winks. I will never shop at this store again and I will be advising everyone I possibly can not to shop at this store, we have been treated so badly and if that's how this company does business they should be shut down!! Me and my partner will be taking this matter further. they are all sleeping in their comfortable beds while we are getting a backache from ours!!!
No/painful sleep since delivery of our Silent Partner bed two months ago
At Crows Nest, all the sales people are keen to sell you the Silent Partner range of beds, even though we'd had Sealy firm mattresses for 20 years and loved them. Of course, we relied on their skill and experience in forming our decision since we don't buy beds very often, like anyone. When delivered, we realised we'd bought a concrete slab - what can you know when you try a bed for 10 mins in a shop and have the sales assistants pushing you to a different brand of firm bed? Two nights later, we complained and had hoped we could change it. In s...ummary, the manager was extremely rude and told us we'd made a bad choice, not acknowledging that of course some buyers will trust in sales staff and take their advice to buy it. Since delivery in January, my husband and I have had terrible hip/back/shoulder pain - my husband has never had that this before and has spent $180 on physio pw the last few weeks! I'm having massages to help my hips. If you sleep on your side, it just doesn't 'give' at the hips so it feels like your hips are in the air and the same with shoulders. It's so uncomfortable so we've been taking turns sleeping in the spare bed to get some rest (maybe that's why it's called 'Silent Partner' as they're never in the same bed). Several friends have come to try it for us and can't believe it's so hard. We've decided we can't afford all the physio so we'll just kiss the money ($2200) goodbye sadly and get a Sealy instead - it's just not worth suffering anymore. We've wondered why they sell this brand - no one else seems to - is it because the commissions are better? You have to wonder. Plus, there must be other people with the same experience? Too hard. In addition, the bed frame is so heavy, we can't move it and the fabric on the base is a different type headboard vs base.
Ballina agressive to me and my child
I to had a bad experience at Ballina 40 Winks in August As my husband is a doctor my 3 year old daughter an I visited the store. Now for some reason beds are "higher" today and our dughter likes to get into bed with us. She was quietly trying to assend the bed when this wom witha name like [name removed] screemed at her to get off, and frighted poor [name removed] to death. When I challenged her she told me to get out of the shop so I did. I rang head office in Victoria and spoke with a [name removed] told me that I was one of many to complain about this womaI subsequently bought from Snooze Ballina.

I had to buy my son a new mattress so we headed in to Forty Winks Castle Hill last Sunday 11 August. There are 3 bedding stores next to each other at the Home Hub complex, and my son picked Forty Winks because he said it looked the nicest. He tried out around 6 or 7 mattresses and with the assistance of a friendly young woman he selected the one he wanted. We were told it would be delivered within 7-10 days. However to my surprise, the Forty Winks warehouse called me the next day to say they had the product is stock, and could deliver the follo...wing day. Delivery was arranged for between 11.30 and 1, and sure enough, the mattress arrived as promised. Was delivered with a smile by the delivery guys, and I was able to pay the balance in cash to them. All up, I had my mattress within 48 hours of stepping foot in the store! Awesome service - could not be happier. Friendly service, efficient & fast delivery
Worst customer service
We purchased a bed frame from the bankstown store. The guy was so stuck up he thinks he is above the rest. I would advise him to get down from your high cloud and check out how competitive your market is down. Worst service ever. Before we had the delivery we were actually planning to purchase the exact same bed for our little boy as well. Will go back to snooze bankstown next time.
Lemon of a bed
We bought what turned out to be a lemon of a bed from the Wagga store. It was our second from Forty Winks Wagga (second lemon), so I kind of deserved what I got - I didn't learn the first time! I can only suggest that you don't get sucked in too. Very cheap beds sold for top prices; the beds feel ok for around 12 months then fail.

Sales staff are pushy, unhelpful when problems present and the beds (we bough) were terrible.
I have recently purchased bedroom furniture from forty winks at caringbah. When being delivered a large scratch was made on a wall by the delivery men. I've called the store a number of times and today have finally been told that there is nothing that they can do. To add insult to injury the woman on then phone was one of the russet people that I have ever spoken to and it amazes me that she is in a customer service role. I will never enter another forty winks store let alone buy anything. Stay clear of Forty Winks!

Worst service i have ever received from any business
Bought and paid for a bedroom set from forty winks Alexandria 2 months ago. Apparently they didn't have it in stock which I was only notified of 3 weeks after I paid for it when I called forty wonks to find out what was going on.
I was told the bedroom set was "on the way" and would be approximately another 3 weeks. I would receive a free sheet set for my inconvenience. Great
Its now been a total of 8 weeks since i paid for the bedroom set. After a text at 8:30pm last night it was due to be delivered today from 2 to 4pm today. Needless to s...ay the set hasn't arrived after I have taken the afternoon off from work to receive the delivery. Nor can I contact the delivery man or get a response from the message i left. I have come to the conclusion that Forty Winks don't sell bedroom furniture, they sell promises. Empty ones. I will never purchase from Forty Winks again. One star is more then they deserve Update -
I purchased a numerous number of bedroom products from the Forty Winks Alexandria store and to my surprise, contrary to all the negativity on this review page, my experience was absolutely fantastic!
The sales representatives were very well trained, honest and caring.
The prices were unbeatable and completely affordable especially in comparison to many other bedding stores.
The products I purchased came on time, without any hassles.
I would recommend shopping at the Forty Winks Alexandria store to everyone!
Friendly staff members, amazing store layout, wide range on display, affordable prices and a great shopping experience overall.
Take my advice, run as far as you can from Forty Winks at LIVERPOOL mega centra, don't made the same mistake as I do such as stressful for my family for the last 9 weeks

It took 7 weeks to delivery the good rather 2 weeks as promised, finally the good arrived, it was the wrong one, talk to the store manager and another 2 more weeks to exchange, because head office is in Melbourne.
We ordered a bedroom suite from Forty Winks Manly Vale. The suite took 6 weeks to available. The delivery guys were excellent they carried the heavy suite up to our bedroom and even moved the old tallboy into another room and assembled the bed base without charging extra.
The sales staff are helpful and friendly. Delivery drivers are excellent.
